- UtopiaInTheSky, on 05/21/2008, -3/+63At first I thought the TakeTwo and "EA Hostile Takeover" room was the best part. But then I spotted the PSP room adjacent to the ***** and found a whole new level of funny.

- Surferess, on 05/21/2008, -2/+15Wow this show is REALLY going to suck bad!
- chkdg8, on 05/21/2008, -3/+20Dugg for the RROD booth at the front entrance, Atari's cross on it's grave and PSP by the outhouses. Genius.
- Aeron, on 05/21/2008, -3/+31bring back the booth babes and the chaos, it used to be exciting
- Gutterpunk, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3Heck ya! If you want a E3 made for traders, make a freaking E3 Trader Edition before of after the main event. But in the meantime bring back the booth babes!
- luke16, on 05/21/2008, -2/+61On a more serious note: Whos idea was it to make E3 suck? E3 use to be that yearly event that everyone talked about. Now it has just turned into corporate bull *****.
Bring back hot japanese booth babes please.- Remmiz, on 05/21/2008, -3/+17Now it's PAX.
- mrASSMAN, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Which is why I'm not angry like most people.. yay for Seattle, now I can actually attend one of these events. PAX is tripling in size every year and why not.. this city is game central of America.. we've got Nintendo, Microsoft, Valve, lots of independent developers, a big gaming community.
Though E3 was more than just games so it may never be the same.

- cr4wl3r, on 05/21/2008, -2/+5I totally agree. I was going to go (for the first time) the year after the last good year, and then they announced that they were changing it and I was like "Fuuuck".
- B1663r, on 05/21/2008, -2/+3They omitted the public from the show, then last year it sucked, but it was only good if you had a product that could get media attention. This year, if you want to advertise your product to the public, why go to this show? No need for the individual developers to go, onlt a need for the publishers and distributors there to make deals with the buyers. That is it.
- NextGenXbox, on 05/21/2008, -4/+1E3 was never for the public.
- Gutterpunk, on 05/21/2008, -1/+3Tell that to the public that was there before last year and generating more word of mouth/forum talk/blog posts than anything the press will ever be able to do.
- NextGenXbox, on 05/21/2008, -4/+1E3 was never for the public.

- Haz3rd, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1Well considering the picture never loaded, I never saw. Besides, it was a joke, meaning I didn't know when E3 was because it's gone so down hill.

i hope they announce a whole bunch of ps3 price reductions this time.- Picer, on 05/21/2008, -1/+1I hope they do too, but Sony have reduced it by substantial amount, when they realised it was too high, if they can get it under
£250 (£299 currently), ill be happy to buy it, but I doubt any reductions will occur most of my colleagues and friends are happy to buy at the current price.- popfrogs, on 05/21/2008, -1/+1It's expensive due to your socialist taxation structure. The US doesn't pay that much and it's actually a fair deal if you buy it with Euros.
- shmatt, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1That's only about $50 more than what we pay in the US. I kind of doubt 'socialist taxation' is to blame. Do you mean tariffs? think probably it's higher shipping costs.
- Picer, on 05/21/2008, -1/+1I hope they do too, but Sony have reduced it by substantial amount, when they realised it was too high, if they can get it under
- shdwsclan, on 05/21/2008, -4/+13Yeah.......its because EA bought up a bunch of studios, so what used to be 100 boths of great gaming, is just 1 booth of blank, cheezy games...
- popfrogs, on 05/21/2008, -1/+13What do you mean blank cheezy games? Personally I'm looking forward to Burnout 18, Madden 2012, Battlefield: Bad Bad Battles 12, Harry Potter and the Neverending Sequel of Shuggoth, and everyone's favorite, The Sims: European Vacation Tourguide.
- KMartSheriff, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1It still amazes me how many ***** expansion packs The Sims has.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sims_2#Core_game
The core game alone has like 5 separate version.

- mztiklimit, on 05/21/2008, -1/+2Very clever.
- cesclaveria, on 05/21/2008, -1/+4I always wanted to go to the E3, so bad it turned into this boring business convention related to video games.
changing the topic a little, is PAX really that good? I've heard from some people that it is like the E3 of old days, is that true?- Lunarbunny, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2I couldn't compare it to E3 (I turned 18 when they crapified it) but PAX is definitely awesome. I've gone to PAX for the last 2 years (it'd be criminal if I didn't, considering how close it is), and thoroughly enjoyed myself at both. Also gotten about $800 in free ***** too :D (results not typical)

Long live E3. - twignificant, on 05/21/2008, -1/+4Dugg for the all-too-appropriate "Sex-Guessing-Hutch."
- ShyGuy91284, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Who cares? E3 is just a lame publicity stunt where nothing new is really unvealed anymore.
- Seaseme, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1haha. sega.
- daridave, on 05/21/2008, -1/+1E...what? Forgot all about it...
- gweedo767, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3I have to say...I am kinda sad about all this. I fondly recall years of taking my lunch break at a specific time to watch the Nintendo Press Conference each May (then watch the others when I have time). I loved the flood of news, it was great. I fully understand why it had to die and the publisher based events do give better data/info spread over time...but I will still miss it.
- jpop, on 05/21/2008, -0/+3I think E3 was on the downswing, and the banning of the booth babes, then shipping it off to multiple hotels/warehouses killed it.
Issue 1: It was less industry and more public. The original intent was for industry to get together to make their deals. It expanded out to more a PR setup.
Issue 2: The larger companies (right or wrong) felt that they'd get better PR for less money if they were the sole info in the news vs. having it diluted by hundreds of companies. So they started to do their big announcements at other areas vs E3. - FuckXboxx, on 05/21/2008, -2/+4Wake me up for CES...
