Isn't the world supposed to end in 2012?
This makes so much sense now! - harrisbradley, on 02/14/2008, -4/+56Hey, it turned out alright in The Fifth Element. I think we're okay as long as Obama runs with Bruce Willis, or he at least heads up FEMA.
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -17/+66For a second, I thought this was an article from Fox News.

- bullcutter, on 02/14/2008, -7/+36"a vote for Barack Obama in 2008 is essentially a vote for the complete and total obliteration of the human race."
sounds like a Republican talking point - Superperson, on 02/14/2008, -11/+33The sad part is that this is how some people think.
- AndrewDB, on 02/14/2008, -1/+23Obama / Willis 08.

- fantasticFlan, on 02/14/2008, -1/+15Good thing X isn't a part of our number system any more.
- hampster, on 02/14/2008, -0/+13No, the question is do we want another white President? Because everything else -- zombie attack, hijacking of air force one, the president KILLING A DUDE, etc., etc. -- has happened under the leadership of white Presidents. Including everything in real life!!!
What we want is a female midget Inuit President. Nothing's ever happened under their watch. - norman619, on 02/14/2008, -1/+13And the army of ninja monkeys armed with laseredged swords and geiger counters.

- cheese06, on 02/14/2008, -0/+11Would we risk another assassination attempt even after the death of President Palmer?
- loggedout, on 02/14/2008, -8/+19Those nukes can't be smuggled into the US any more because of that fence we're putting up.
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -2/+12Or a Hillary one.
- ThatGeek, on 02/14/2008, -3/+13umm...because thats who the black people voted for I guess? I'm pretty sure in nearly every other election almost 10/10s of the black vote went to white people. Just lettin you know.
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -1/+11Thank god someone finally realized the truth!
- jeremyfohferemy, on 02/14/2008, -0/+10okay, done.
if you would have read the article instead of trolling you would have see that your terribly executed joke was done 1000 times better by the author of the piece. may god have mercy on your soul. - EBFoxbat, on 02/14/2008, -2/+11A great story and you told it so well.

- AceyS, on 02/14/2008, -2/+9I'm pretty sure Chuch Norris would have ticketed with Mike Huckabee. That being said, Bush would probably win a third term if he had Norris backing him. And yes I know the term limitations. I'm just convinced Chuch Norris would somehow roundhouse kick that amendment out of the constitution.

http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/dead_milkmen_lyr ... - bullcutter, on 02/14/2008, -0/+6"Would anyone be behind him if he were a white man who otherwise had the same credentials and experience as Obama?"
At this point, YES! As he would be the only candidate who's NOT pro-war!
Besides, his name would still be Obama, and that's still pretty cool. - rentmitchum, on 02/14/2008, -1/+7We're putting a fence around Hilldog's snizz?
- Gabberwok, on 02/14/2008, -3/+8In all honesty, I credit 24 for making Obama's candidacy possible. Millions of Americans had already adjusted to the idea of a black president long before this campaign season simply because they had seen one every week on their TVs. There still might be a huge amount of racism evident in the general election, but so far in the nomination the only possible bastions for racist sentiment against Obama are in the elderly, poor Southern whites, and non-black minority populations (mainly Hispanic/Asian). I'm not saying that any of these groups are voting against Obama because of his race, but by the demographics of his voters (according to exit polls) they are the only populations that might be considering it.
- rentmitchum, on 02/14/2008, -3/+8Some sort of mass global change will take place. It's deceptive and sensationalist to indicate the end of the Mayan calendar as the end of the world.
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -0/+5I don't care what pisses them off because everything pisses them off
- EvolvingOne, on 02/14/2008, -0/+5Did you even read the article? Morgan Freeman already screwed up once, why would you want to give him another chance? You completely missed the point.
- carterbaldwin, on 02/14/2008, -1/+6Yes, a parody of racist attitudes does have overtones pertaining to race. How insightful of you.
- sinrtb, on 02/14/2008, -1/+6I am pretty sure that O'reilly said it first.
- OhROFL, on 02/14/2008, -0/+5Let us remember that he was not the President of the US, but of the "Federation".
- jon30041, on 02/14/2008, -0/+4Well worded argument, but disaster WAS diverted, and the clock ticked nearer because of OTHER people screwing up (the landing was off, the shuttle pilot almost shot people, etc).
Bruce Willis has a solid record for kicking terrestrial geology ass, make no mistake! Make Ben Affleck his deputy assistant or something... after the arguments surrounding the daughter ***** end, there ain't *nothin* a stupid piece of rock can do to our great US of A! - MortalynFlux, on 02/14/2008, -0/+4In Season 1, they really built up the plot before you saw the President. And when they showed him, it was intentionally provocative. A black president? No way! In what parallel universe?
After several shows, however, you got used to it, helped by the fact that the actor did have a very presidential demeanor. Now I wouldn't credit 24 for making Obama's candidacy possible, as there are a long list of historical figures who sacrificed and died to make it possible, and it would be very unfair to them to lay the credit on a T.V. show. But I will say that it helped me get comfortable with the idea. - monsterCable, on 02/14/2008, -1/+5Finally ! A rational argument why Hillary should not be a president :)))
- inactive, on 02/14/2008, -0/+4Lighten' up.
