- luke16, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Is his voice ok?
- RaggTopp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Wow.....Clive Barker sounds like Strong Bad......I mean REALLY REALLY sounds like Strong Bad...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"My dick may not function, but at least I still have my smile."
- ninzoris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I remember watching him in a few interviews a few years ago, he did NOT sound like that.
- tnvwboy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Wow. I love Clive Barkers work but that dude needs to cut back on the smoking (of any kind) before he ends up sounding like Ned from SouthPark! He nearly does already!
- wingo123, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Seriously - is something wrong with him? Sounds like he has throat cancer or something...
- artofwar420, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Nah
- dugR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2ok. i was reminded of man train. the shock image. now i feel stupid , but i guess its a good thing when you dont know the proper name for an image of naked men.
- Po0py, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Ditto. I was thinking the same thing. I remember seeing him on CH4 here in the uk talking about a new book he had out. He did not sound anything like that. He actually had more of a British accent at that time too. And he was smoking a huge cigar.
- dugR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1did someone say... meat train. *hopes someone doesn't post link*
- DNAspark99, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1WHOA what happened to Clive?? His voice MOST DEFINITELY did not used to sound like that! I've been a long term barker fan ever since Hellraiser (1 and 2....series went downhill ever since then!), and I've got the collectors edition which features an interview with him, he most certainly has been smoking something.... (other than pole...he is gay after all)
Here's a glimpse of what he USED to sound like: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Uh6HsyOeh0w - ChiSoxFan77, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Wow first Freeway reference I've heard in about 10 years. Dugg.
- fiver22, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1 He's really much more of a writer than a "horror film mastermind". Read 'Weaveworld' -or "Imajica" -they changed the way I viewed the genre... his many short-stories (in the series "Books of Blood") are also well worth reading.
I know most people know him because of "Hellraiser" (which was a great horror film, based off his novella "The Hellbound Heart") but I think he should be recognized for more than that.
He dabbles in all sorts of media -including comics, film, novels, novellas, video games, etc. -He also dabbles in film direction, and screen-writing.
He's kinda' a 'hero' of mine that I grew away from... Hrm... I think I should go re-read some of his stuff. - zardoz73, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Jesus, I could barely stand to listen to that story--like nails on a chalkboard!
- stigma15, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1His voice sounds like a dirtbike
- BrapAllgood, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I second the recommendation of Imajica. Terrific book.
- thesuperrad, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Wow yeah he sounds much different. I found a transitional interview from between these too.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=9YSmWMBgzww&mode=related&search= - urubos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Dugg simply for the fact that this features one of my two favorite writers. Now if only he would finish the many series he has started and then abandoned.
- jledgerwood, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Clive: And then Simon says, "Those were special cookies." And I said "I knooooooooow"
LOL!
Based on his voice, I would say that he might consider laying off the smoke. - Kuthulu, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0That was funny. I've never heard his speak before.
- Urusai, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Holy crap!
- jhug, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0summary: he ate some pot cookies. I just saved you 2 minutes of your life.
