- unicronband, on 03/28/2008, -12/+174Busta Rhymes has always had my respect. He's one of the few rappers that doesn't take himself overly seriously and injects a good deal of humor into his music. He doesn't play the hard-ass gangsta image and he's tremendously talented. The dude can fit like a dictionary's worth of syllables into a 3 minute song.

- fabriciom, on 03/28/2008, -9/+1I don't know how smart this lady is but I would never mes verbally with a rapper. Obviously I would'nt like to be ignored by someone either, but I think the right response would had been some thing along the lines "Hey Busta we been waiting here X hours, please sign our bikinis". I bet he would of had held his bowls for a second and signed their bikinis or what ever. I would had.
- LonesomeFighter, on 03/28/2008, -0/+15he can sign bikinis whenever he wants and prob has many times. if he gotta ***** he gonna *****. plus you can't stop at a crowd for 1 person then leave. once you stop you are there for awhile
- tjmb9, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3He did have some pretty sweet bowls, though.
- AuburnAZN, on 03/28/2008, -0/+18If you listen, once he starts telling her off, she tells everyone her "just ignore him"
- azkikr27, on 03/28/2008, -2/+5@ unicronband "He doesn't play the hard-ass gangsta image" you clearly dont know much about rap. Busta is awesome, no argument there.. but have you heard him rap recently about how he sells cocaine? and how he hustled crack...?-two things he's never ever done-you clearly haven't...even the great like busta slip into the "i'm the realest gagsta"" talk
- capiCrimm, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2only recently? just look back at one of his classics, "break ya neck". Plenty of "gansta" in there.
- zeabu, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1Does he really has to add a sarcasm-tag in his lyrics.. damn man.. read some of his interviews.
- capiCrimm, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2only recently? just look back at one of his classics, "break ya neck". Plenty of "gansta" in there.
- dafragsta, on 03/28/2008, -1/+4Man, that just brings back so many memories of going to parties and on road trips right at the ass end of the ninties. Better days for sure.

- MixMastaKooz, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2He puts on a great show too!
- po43292, on 03/28/2008, -1/+2He smoked weed on stage at a show where I saw him.
- YoctoYotta, on 03/28/2008, -1/+2I'm not saying the guy doesn't have a hell of a talent, but if every other syllable or two is nigger, *****, or *****, he might want to expand that dictionary a bit.
Woah, hey I think I just rapped.- zeabu, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1His commercial stuff is, because simply, that's what people want, the other stuff they probably don't understand.
- tech42er, on 03/28/2008, -12/+267Absolutely. He made a great argument: "Respect others and you'll get respect back". Instead, the bitch kept focusing on his languag, because she had no real argument.
- spudnic, on 03/28/2008, -64/+27"Respect others and you'll get respect back"
He could have said 'I just have to do something I'll be back out in a second', or whatever, instead he completely ignored them.
He started off by not showing THEM any respect.- esaks, on 03/28/2008, -9/+18Whos to say that lady wasn't some sort of British paparazzi? Saying things like that to get a reaction from celebrities seems to be commonplace in America.
- Chompy, on 03/28/2008, -4/+4Yeah you're right, that sort of thing never happens in the UK.
- spudnic, on 03/28/2008, -26/+11The lack of camera flash/camera going off is a clue.
I guess the 'OMG bitch got pwned!1!!!1' mentality wins though. Damn digg has turned into a cesspit.- Chompy, on 03/28/2008, -1/+16You don't need a flash in the middle of the day, Ansel.
- spudnic, on 03/28/2008, -5/+1A bright background and dark skin tone?
No photographer worth his salt would take that photo without a fill-in flash. - WilliamDavis, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4Why you gotta bring race into this?
- sgtbutterscotch, on 03/28/2008, -5/+12It is ignorant to call some one ignorant for ignoring you...(Ok now I wonder if ignorant in British English means to actually be ignoring someone), I highly doubt that if that British woman just stood there, Busta would see that as respect, and then proceed to let her do whatever it is she wanted to do with him. Even if she was heaping praise upon him and he still had to take a crap really bad, do any of you really think that she would still be waiting for him to come back out, after it looked like he just completely ignored her on purpose, and thus, not showing respect? He could have at least acknowledged her and said he would be back if he "respected" her enough. Hell, he would've been on the crapper faster if he just said "I'll be right back." I think he was just looking for a fight and to prove he was better than someone else...and maybe misunderstood the word "ignorant. (British people help me out here :) )
- Craftybadger, on 03/28/2008, -8/+5Exactly, now it was wrong for the woman to just shout out the insult in the first place. However, Busta should have at least told them he'd be right back, instead of (what looked liked) to just plainly ignore his fans.
If I'd have waited for Busta (for how ever many hours) just so I could get a photo with him, and he just ignored me and got on a bus. I would have been equally as mad.
So yes, the woman shouldn't have shouted the insult at him. But equally, Busta shouldn't have (what looked like) ignored his fans.
- Craftybadger, on 03/28/2008, -8/+5Exactly, now it was wrong for the woman to just shout out the insult in the first place. However, Busta should have at least told them he'd be right back, instead of (what looked liked) to just plainly ignore his fans.

- chacar0n, on 03/28/2008, -51/+12He's still ignorant and still doesn't have my respect. Once he opens his mouth and says something about the murder of his bodyguard Israel Ramirez then maybe I'll think about it.

Seriously, if you take your kids to get an autograph from someone like Busta you should at least expect some explicit language.
She didn't have anything to fall back on. - zeabu, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2Actually, I always thought children was plural.. that, and the fact she doesn't know what ignorant means, points already out who's ignorant.

- ReadItAndWeep, on 03/28/2008, -34/+8Apparently it doesn't take much to earn your respect. A black celebrity talks back to a fan who says something critical and you are impressed by this? Yeah, Busta Rhymes is such an impressive human being, the next Martin Luther King Jr., I tell ya.
- theradical, on 03/28/2008, -30/+12Wow, how impressive. A celebrity shouts crudely at a fan about his bowel movements. Wonderful, truly. And how dare that British woman be insulted that he ignored her.

- SuperMoses, on 03/28/2008, -2/+17ya, and the lady was trying to use the children as a way to save herself from being embarrased. Busta Rhymes just set a good example for the children. If some stupid person calls you ignorant for no reason, call them out on it.

go back to watching Bill O'Reilly, asshole.- curtisag, on 03/28/2008, -4/+2Exhibit A of ignorance:
"I try to really understand every aspect of the most high; for me, the most high is Allah...I live my life by Islam."
Exhibit B:
A judge in NYC has just sentenced Busta Rhymes to three years' probation for assaulting his former driver and a fan last year. The judge also warned the rapper to stay out of trouble or else, saying "If you mess up, you're going to jail."
Exhibit C:
Just read his lyrics:
Hit you with no delayin so what you sayin yo? (uh)
Silly with my nine milli, what the deally yo? (what?)
When I be on the mic yes I do my duty yo
Wild up in the club like we wild in the stud-io (uh)
You don't wanna VIOLATE nigga really and truly yo (uh)
My main thug nigga named Julio he moody yo (what?)
Type of nigga that'll slap you with the tool-io (blaow!)
Bitch nigga scared to death, act fruity yo (uh)
***** that! Look at shorty, she a little cutie yo (yeah)
The way she shake it make me wanna get all in the booty yo (whoo!)
Top miss, just hit the bangin bitches in videos (huh?)
Case closed, he's an ignorant rapper with no college degree. His lyrics are just a jumble of nonsensical crap designed to entertain other idiots. - BloodyIron, on 03/28/2008, -3/+1Exhibit A:
Well, if you're arguing that religion is ignorance, this is clearly not the only ignorant person in the world. Tell me, do you believe in anything?
Exhibit B:
This does not display ignorance, it displays aggression. Learn the difference, ignoramus. Additionally, you are taking this out of context, we have no idea why the assault occurred, for all we know, it could have been legitimately provoked.
Exhibit C:
Clearly you are unfamiliar with the style of rhyme which is busta. The mechanisms he uses in his lyrics does not make him necessarily ignorant. In fact, his ability to twist the language in such an entertaining fashion shows that clearly he understands how English enunciation works.
Fact of the matter is, you have no evidence to prove he is ignorant, as you are not proving he lacks knowledge of anything. Clearly it is you who is ignorant of definition. - curtisag, on 03/29/2008, -2/+1Yes, anyone who believes in religion, especially one centered around Allah is ignorant. Ignorant people are everywhere. He's ignorant of science, of the law, of any grammar structure, he has no college degree, and his lyrics sound like he's a moron. It is not a stretch of the imagination to conclude this person is ignorant. If he is not ignorant, then who is? All he can do is make strings of nonsensical phrases that rhyme talking about bitches and hoes. You think that makes him brilliant, I think that makes him a *****.
And no, I don't believe in anything that doesn't have at least some evidence associated with it. At least there are pictures of UFOs, videos, and eye witness accounts. I still don't believe in UFOs though, because it's always a hoax of some kind, just like religion. However, I think there is a very good chance of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, but currently there is no basis for a belief in it.

- urbano35, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3I hate when people negatively generalize rappers when rock artists can portray negative images themselves. Not all rappers are ignorant concieted idiots and not all rockers are just druggies who spit pointless lyrics. But this statement would never get anywhere anyway...props to Busta lol..

- f4nt0m4s, on 03/28/2008, -9/+83What the *****? Calling someone ignorant is a pretty big thing, I know ignorant isn't a swear word but it has a pretty powerful meaning behind it. Busta just stood up for himself, I imagine that if I was called ignorant for nothing I would do the same. And I seriously hope that you are joking about the foul language and his career...
- lex0nyc, on 03/28/2008, -11/+18People are there to see him, it's obviously a crowd, and he doesn't even look at them? Not even a wave? It may not be ignorant, but it's somewhat inconsiderate.

Can you imagine how many people ask for 'just a few seconds' of his time every day? I would guess a little hand wave usually brings on louder requests for attention. You probably have to learn tricks of the trade when traveling to avoid having all your time taken up. Like ignoring people on your way to the bathroom.
I'm not a fan of Mr. Rhymes but I like what I've heard (that I remember anyway) and I don't usually shed tears for people that seek the spotlight and then have issues with the attention but I think I can understand his position in this situation.

This is ***** ridiculous. Both of you are holding society back.
julianwan, you are hypersensitive. Simply calling a black person ignorant isn't racist. Yes, I know the word "nigger" can mean ignorant, but no, calling a black person ignorant just isn't racist. There are plenty of ignorant black people, in the same ratio as ignorant whites, asians, latinos, and any other race.
ReadIt, you are either a huge troll, or a totally racist asshole. I'm not convinced that you're not both. You're pathetic, either way. And if the whole mensa thing isn't a load of *****, like we all suspect, who really cares? Some of the most "intelligent" people I know are total jackasses. You don't impress anyone, and you can still be a racist toolbelt even if you are a genius. You have helped give all whites a bad reputation and further the belief that racism is still rampant. A genuine racist. - JulyZerg, on 03/28/2008, -1/+2So: you think enslaving them has cost you? Figures, coming from a white supremest.
- rennie246, on 03/28/2008, -1/+12ReadItAndWeep.....You're an idiot. Just letting you know.
I'm curious to know how your ignorant and hateful mentality has contributed to Western Society. Your claim of multiple degrees and Mensa membership only goes to paint you as an Educated Fool. Furthermore, the sheer ignorance of your comments have debunked your theory that you're smarter than anyone here, since most of us aren't stupid enough to make such a senseless comment. - dlllb, on 03/28/2008, -1/+8It amazes me how so many people are still fixated on skin colour. If you weren't a ***** racist you wouldn't see the colour, k? How much more time are you planning to waste on the 'racist' card? Move on already... For the sake of humanity.
- TheBEAST205, on 03/28/2008, -9/+2I actually agree with Read's comment. If every one were the same color, I'd still dislike people who have the general mentality that black people have (the whole "gangster" *****) as well as the mentalities of people who are white, too.
But if you put race issue back up and look at the majority of black people in America, they generally accomplish a lot less that white people. Not to say that white people are a flawless super race, but in modern times, less black people have made a good effect on America than white people.
It's not necessarily a great thing, but the guy is right...- skinny01, on 03/28/2008, -3/+2If we were running the 100yd dash but all the blacks were held in the starting blocks while whites got a 20 yd head start, guess what? More whites would win races and be accomplishing more while the blacks would be constantly losing trying to play catchup. And after losing so consistently, many start to think that it's pointless to even try to win that 100yd dash because the only ones that can win are the ones that are completely gifted at running and can make up a 20yd deficit. And even then in those situations it's probably because the other runners of that particular event were also insufficient (see the current dnc). But even a spectacular athlete would have trouble making up that lost ground to break even which makes it more spectacular when someone actually does. But you can't blame the masses for consistently losing a fixed race.
- rennie246, on 03/28/2008, -1/+4@TheBEAST205
Congratulations, you and ReadItandWeep are still in the running to become America's Next Top Racist.
"the general mentality that black people have...(gangster)"??? What does that mean? As a "black person", I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't have a "gangster" mentality, neither do any of my friends, colleagues, or associates. You are a perfect example of someone who watches too much tv and believes every derogatory stereotype that's perpetuated in society. There are some people who may fit that stereotype, but many do not.
As for you and Read's insistence that "black people in America accomplish a lot less than white people", I'd suggest that you do some research on the many inventors, scientists, authors, artists, business leaders, spiritual leaders, etc of ALL races. Not to many the every day people who make it a mission in their lives to help others that are less fortunate than themselves by volunteering at community centres and homeless shelters, fundraising and other charity work, teaching and caring for children, mentoring at-risk youth, etc.
Making ignorant statements with no credible stats or sources to back it up does not make it true. Even if other racists might agree with you. Your logic is flawed, and apparently so is your character. - TheBEAST205, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1Never in my post, did I say that all black people act exactly the same. I actually happen to deeply respect a lot black people such as Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Jack Johnson, Chuck Berry, Isaiah "Ikey" Owens, and many other black people who aren't related to music.
What I'm trying to say, though, is that I hate the "gangster" stereotype that many people (not just black) take on. Don't tell me you don't know what I'm talking about. You see it every day in public, people with their pants sagging, wearing very large t-shirts, with so called "bling" on. I completely understand that just because you're black, doesn't mean that you are like that, but it's largely black people that take on that role.
That being said, I believe that there are a lot of white people who are dumb asses, so I'm no white supremacist or anything of that sort.
- 471776, on 03/28/2008, -6/+21You're *****' ignorant, you racist asshole.
- TonyLocNE, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3your comment was racist..
- browwiw, on 03/28/2008, -6/+76I like how the stupid bitch started making the "there's children here" argument when Busta used the word '*****'. Developmentally speaking, it's far worse to teach children to have unkind and entitled attitudes than curse around them. What a *****.
- dreamsofdreams, on 03/28/2008, -4/+7Brilliant point. Cursing vs. Treating other human beings badly. When you put it like that it's obvious that swear words are nothing in comparison!

/bitchslap - ReadItAndWeep, on 03/28/2008, -18/+9The fact that this story reached the front page is just one more proof that digg is now a full blown idiocracy. The comment section of digg is now as dumb as youtube's. Digg wanted to increase it's popularity, but with popularity comes the stupidity of the masses.
- KennMac, on 03/28/2008, -2/+7I agree with you about the comment comparison to YouTube. Please stop posting comments. You're turning this place into YouTube.
- sovietninja, on 03/28/2008, -1/+2I take it from your name your being sarcastic. I think its dumb to say, "Hey the comments on here are so dumb that i spent time reading about them and then i went and made a dumb comment so everyone could see how dumb i am too! In fact, I am so dumb i even read the dumb comments on Youtube becuase i have so much time on my hands. I spend all my time reading the stupidity of the masses and calling things one more proof!"

I love the dumb comments, some of the best can be found between here, youtube and woot. - Zeigy, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1ReaditAndWeep, you're looking at the glass as half empty. You know the saying, "The truth is often told in jest." Well, that is what you have here at digg. Digg is a social website, first and foremost, then it is a website where one can stay informed on a variety of topics. I love reading the comments, some are witty some are stupid and some are very well thought out and informative. It's because I know I'm going to get this incredibly rich and diverse mix of commentary on a topic no matter what the topic that I read even topics I normally wouldn't find interesting and participate and enjoy this digg experience.

- blankman, on 03/28/2008, -38/+900That British bitch still thought she was right in the end, and will probably go around telling everyone that Busta Rhymes swore at children in front of her and she couldn't make him stop. The least she could have done is say sorry.
- HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -120/+11You know, I thought you made a good point with your comment, but you ruined it by starting with 'British Bitch', as though it were some kind of negative. Would it be OK if you substitued that word for a similarly descriptive one(in case you think that's a defence), like black? Or disabled?

- tech42er, on 03/28/2008, -2/+70She's quite obviously British (look at the title) and she was, as Busta said, a bitch. blankman is not implying that all Brits are bitches, just this one.
- HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -43/+2I know she's British, i'm questioning the use of it in that sentence. Are you honestly trying to tell me there are no racial connotations if I call someone a black bitch?
- gameforge, on 03/28/2008, -3/+25Obviously there are racial connotations with that; as in, **you named a race**! Hate to break this to you, but Britain is not a race...? Like, there's actual black people *in* the U.K. If she was a black Briton, and the OP called her a British bitch, would you call that a racist comment?
Let's be very honest - you wouldn't be having a cow about this if she had called Busta an "American asshole". You'd not have thought twice about it, if not even agreed. - HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -21/+2You don't know the definition of the word racism. It's not hard to find, so you should probably work on that.
- sovietninja, on 03/28/2008, -1/+2You obviously don't think this woman is a bitch. Why can't you just say, my pants are too tight and I'm waiting for a flood?
- douchewag, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Henvy please get a life dude,I thought the British were good at banter. You are different.

- HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -38/+2Wanted to add this but got ***** by the digg comment system again. Why would he even need to include the word British unless he meant it offensively? It's not like you could have watched the video and not understood that she was British.
- DeathJux, on 03/28/2008, -0/+31Stop whining and GTFO HenvY. Peppering your own failed comment thread with more stupidity is not going to win anyone over.
- teh_techie, on 03/28/2008, -0/+13Who cares if it had anything to do with it? It's a ***** adjective!
- HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -18/+2If doesn't matter if you ***** argue, I guarantee, and I'm sure you all realise too, that if the video was of an American and someone called her 'That American Bitch' the comment would be dugg far far down. You are both hypocritical and stupid.
- daRoach, on 03/28/2008, -0/+9It happens all the time. I see stories every day where people are saying something about "Big Fat American" or "Stupid Americans". It's the World Wide Internet. These things are going to come up, so stop being so sensitive to comments made anonymously.
- cam503, on 03/28/2008, -0/+6You just effectively said we were hypocritical based on your own hypothetical situation... not exactly a sturdy base for the lifeless argument you're attempting to erect.
Citing hypothetical situations doesn't hold ground as evidence. Please... just stop. - sovietninja, on 03/28/2008, -1/+5The video was of an American. Busta Rhymes is American. And yes if someone called her "American Bitch" they would Digg down that comment becuase that person wouldn't have RTFT would they? It's quite clear shes not American. The only person who sounds hypocritical is the woman in the video who is telling Busta to watch his language when she can't even keep her own tongue. And the only stupid person here is you.
- HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -43/+2I know she's British, i'm questioning the use of it in that sentence. Are you honestly trying to tell me there are no racial connotations if I call someone a black bitch?
- ahale97, on 03/28/2008, -12/+2He never said the word British. He just called her a bitch not a British bitch... dumbass
- hellotyler, on 03/28/2008, -1/+17Wake up lady, he's not saying all British chicks at bitches - just this one in particular. And she is a bitch.
- dlllb, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1I'm feeling it.
- aprestia, on 03/28/2008, -10/+12I believe the point was that the word "British" an unnecessary descriptor, by its use in that sense, implies it somehow modifies the quality of "the bitch" in question. And, as HenvY rightly pointed out, no one would question this as offensive if it had been a racial descriptor rather than a nationality. I agree wholeheartedly that she was a bitch but, as a person of British decent, I did find that mildly offensive, whether it was intended to be or no - not simply because of the word bitch but because it such an American trait to need to qualify the nationality of anyone who isn't American themselves, as though they were somehow an oddity. I didn't care about the video descriptor, since it was simply informing the public of where it took place, but to continue to bring it up is unnecessary.
- Parkinsons, on 03/28/2008, -0/+11I hear more "American asshole" or "stupid fat American's" more then "British ______". It seems that whenever people ***** on American's it's fine but when it is turned around people start bitching.
- dlllb, on 03/28/2008, -0/+13I'm British and take absolutely no offense to her being called a British bitch for the simple fact that IT HAS ***** ALL TO DO WITH ME!
Your birthplace is the place your mother sprung a leak and dropped your ass to the deck. It's not something you inherited, its coincidental and its certainly not something you can use to further weight an arguement and/or form a starting point to becoming offended. Oh my ***** god some people are dumb as *****!
Edit: To the children in the crowd... I apologise for the excessive cursing. - sovietninja, on 03/28/2008, -1/+4"I believe the point was that the word "British" an unnecessary descriptor, by its use in that sense, implies it somehow modifies the quality of "the bitch" in question."
Unnecessary descriptor? lol.
Implies it somehow modifies the quality of "the bitch"?
Have you ever heard of ***** (an meaningless intestifier) adjectives in grammar school?? An adjective, in grammar, is a word whose main syntactic role is to modify a noun or pronoun (called the adjective's subject), giving more information about what the noun or pronoun refers to.
Saying something like adjectives are not necessary would result in the following vague title for this video.
Person owns person. - Tredici, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1Busta Rhymes Owns Woman*
- imajin, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1he didnt mean bitch in a disrespectful way, he just meant it as a general term for 'woman'

- gordonf238, on 03/28/2008, -45/+7Oh please, the guy overreacted. Most of these phony hip-hop artists are nowhere near as "hardcore" as they portray themselves to be. More like touchy-feely prima-donnas in my opinion.
- cli006, on 03/28/2008, -2/+22So you're more hardcore because you would have been passive when someone called your ignorant?
I don't think he overreacted one bit, if I overheard some snobby bitch calling me ignorant FOR NO REASON, I would've let her have it too.- dlllb, on 03/28/2008, -4/+1Let's not pretend the sun shines out of his ass, man. He didn't even look at the crowd until she called him ignorant.
But then thats all relative to him. - Lanlost, on 03/28/2008, -2/+0I understand that celebrities need fans to be famous.. but as he said, he was going to take a *****. Do they need to acknowledge a crowd every time? If so, it would suck to be a celebrity. Regardless, I didn't quite catch what made him so 'ignorant.'
.. I swear if she was saying 'ignorant' meaning he was ignoring her and thought that the word was ignorant (hes ignoring me.. hes being ignore-ant)... wow, that would be sadly ironic.
- dlllb, on 03/28/2008, -4/+1Let's not pretend the sun shines out of his ass, man. He didn't even look at the crowd until she called him ignorant.
- choopie911, on 03/28/2008, -2/+12That looked like he was trying to be hardcore? Man, people like 50 cent must make you ***** yourself every time they blink. He was just trying to defend himself.

- SausageSmith, on 03/28/2008, -5/+0Sorry, but I completely disagree and think where he was or wasn't is irrelevant. What is clear in the vid is that he's being called yet chooses to ignore that person. In whatever circumstances, that's called being rude.

It's apparently ok to insult people behind their backs and spread a culture of backstabbing, snobbery and malice to your kids like an airborne virus, but woe betide said person retaliates and uses 'harsh language' when 'there's children here'. Having been through the British school system, I can safely say you will never find a place outside of a prison, that has more harsh language and crudity being bandied about.
Sad state of affairs indeed. We've managed to breed a generation of hypocrites, and there's more than enough blame to go around.- Lanlost, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4Ok.. I made a comment above before I read yours that had ".. I swear if she was saying 'ignorant' meaning he was ignoring her and thought that the word was ignorant (He's ignoring me. He's being ignore-ant)... wow, that would be sadly ironic."
Is this seriously what she was trying to accomplish? I couldn't quite understand her response but your comment just backed up what I was thinking. - electricdragon, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3Its basically the same in the U.S.
- Lanlost, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4Ok.. I made a comment above before I read yours that had ".. I swear if she was saying 'ignorant' meaning he was ignoring her and thought that the word was ignorant (He's ignoring me. He's being ignore-ant)... wow, that would be sadly ironic."
- Majhem, on 03/28/2008, -1/+25To quote Broken-Record-British-Bitch...
"There's children here..."
"There's children here..."
"There's children here..."
"There's children here..."
"There's children here..."
Say it again, stupid cow, it might make more sense the sixth time... geez. Would these 'children' be the 16 year old girls of yours you are accompanying to get Busta Rhymes photo?- fef560, on 03/28/2008, -5/+2She didn't know what to say. Most people (including most of the people on this site, you're all no different) are stupid.
- Zamyatin, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3How about "I'm sorry, I apologize"? Just because Busta is an entertainer does *not* require him to come rushing to every harpy begging him for a photo op, especially when he's by his bus trying to take care of business. However, it seems words would be wasted on you regardless of what sense or reason they may have, since you've decided that anyone and everyone on this site are stupid.
I guess then the only proper response to you, fef560, is: "Go to hell."
Cheers!

- HenvY, on 03/28/2008, -120/+11You know, I thought you made a good point with your comment, but you ruined it by starting with 'British Bitch', as though it were some kind of negative. Please. "there are children" my ass. What, its wrong to use the current vernacular language to get your point across but its ok to insult someone randomly? Since when is calling someone ignorant for no reason ok but responding to that undeserved attack not ok? Are people so brainwashed that they actually believe words are more important than their meaning? If she really cared about the children around, she would have apologized for her behavior and thanked that guy for standing up for himself. His behavior was morally permissible, hers was not.- tech42er, on 03/28/2008, -4/+100Most likely, she had no real argument so she was using that as an excuse.
- volve, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3Well of course it was an excuse; it's much easier to redirect than it is to explain. Having to clarify to Busta Rhymes (of all people) why you intended to insult him without even understanding the definition of "ignorant" and thus demonstrating your sorely lacking grasp of the English language -in front of your children- is rather indicative of Britain unfortunately as TotalHalibut detailed above. (I too am British an this sounds all too familiar.)
- DaleksUnited, on 03/28/2008, -18/+5If you're going to discuss the vernacular, look here:
http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/i.htm
And the slang definition for ignorant there is accurate. Whether he was actually being rude or not is up for debate, but he did ignore them. [Granted they were shouting a him] 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.- inua, on 03/28/2008, -1/+10sorry bud, but an online "dictionary" of slang terms doesnt make a lick of difference. thats like saying that "i can haz cheezeburger" is grammatically correct because a lolcat dictionary has it listed identically. - barkus, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1Actually, it does makes all the difference. And no, it's nothing like saying 'i can haz cheezeburger'. That's a terrible analogy. She used a slang word in a slang setting. How is that poor vernacular?

- KrayzieKyd, on 03/28/2008, -1/+43Who's thinking of the children when she calls someone ignorant for not giving autographs? Celebrities aren't obligated to give them, but she is teaching these children to expect celebrities to perform on demand. If they don't, call them ignorant. Great influence.

"Yea, flip mode. Flip mode is the greatest."- flangepiece, on 03/28/2008, -11/+5As I think has been pointed out elsewhere, Busta ignored them. Therefore he was being ignorant. These people are obviously fans (they know who he is and want a photo taken with him), and therefore might even be helping to pay for his lifestyle through CDs, gig tickets etc. In my soon to be dugg down opinion, anybody who watches this video and thinks Busta comes away from this looking good, needs to take a long hard look at themselves. Oh and Syda, if you're going to make comments about the English language, try learning it first.

- flangepiece, on 03/28/2008, -7/+3Adj. Not polite, disrespectful, rude. {Informal}...Or perhaps his rudeness was unwitting...(thanks Google)
- shaelen, on 03/28/2008, -1/+7flangepiece, I don't know what dictionary YOU are reading, but mine says nothing of the sort. The best definition I can find is "lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics."
- thesonofdarwin, on 03/28/2008, -0/+6flange, you aren't making your case any stronger by citing the definition of a word from a slang website. Don't always rely on Google to be right.
- tenjin1, on 03/28/2008, -1/+0He was probably ignoring them for good reason. He stated he had to go to the bathroom. I doubt they were fans but probably journalists or media of some kind. Why would he stop to talk to them if he had to go the bathroom. If celebarities have to go to the bathroom!
- Infekted, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2"These people are obviously fans" -- can't be, they said there are kids. if you know Basta you know kids cannot have his albums, and even if they are fan then they shouldn't been warning him that there are kids. because you already know what gonna come out from his mouth.
plus your definition of ignorant is ***** up. i don't even know where you got those Adj. Shaelen's definition is more accurate. and thank you for being an example of that word(ignorant -- "lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact"). What's even more funny is that you told Syda to learn the English language when you yourself don't know it. No offense but your such a hypocrite. who's ignorant now? now go and apologize to Syda.- flangepiece, on 03/28/2008, -1/+1Okay so quoting Google is akin to quoting Wikipedia, for that I apologise. Try this from the Oxford English Dictionary, possibly the most authoritative source of correct diction and grammar around:
1 lacking knowledge or awareness in general.
2 (often ignorant of) uninformed about or unaware of a specific subject or fact.
3 informal rude; discourteous.
...See that there definition number 3? Could it possibly be that people from different countries use words differently? I'm guessing from her accent that this lady and her family comes from somewhere like Stockwell or Brixton, South London. Do you know much about how people speak from that area?
This whole episode revolves around the fact that yes, she shot her mouth off and probably didn't mean "ignorant" in the way that the majority of people posting here understand it, but Mr Rhymes' reaction was ridiculous at best. Right, what's next on my soapbox high-horse agenda? - zeabu, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2@flangepiece: Not knowing there are differences in Br and Am English, is also showing she's ignorant. Besides that, even when a dictionary states a definition, but noone understands it that way, that dictionary is obsolete. She should have chosen her words better, if it really is as you are telling. I suppose everyone knows the word "rude". She's or stupid, or a failed show-off. In fact that's also stupid.

I was like, "Hey, Mr. Rhymes, I know it's you, love your music..... by the way, can I borrow some toilet paper, I'm all out over here." He completely ignored me, damn ignorant bastard! I had to use an old receipt from my wallet, wrap it around my finger, and put it up my cornhole and twist it back and forth, back and mutha *****' forth!
- jdmzpf, on 03/28/2008, -78/+12Ignorant = Busta
(Wonder if he's going to somehow get in my face too)- bicyclethief, on 03/28/2008, -6/+30You're a tough cookie....behind a computer screen.
- julianwan, on 03/28/2008, -5/+6in what way exactly, don't tell me you support that woman in throwing around words without knowing the meaning...
- PURPLEDRINK, on 03/28/2008, -1/+12Well, he did say "how am i ignorant"
Then he went onto say "Have I called anyone names" (He called her a bitch shortly before saying that)- iamnobody8614, on 03/28/2008, -1/+6He was referring to why she had called him ignorant in the first place. So he was asking why she randomly insulted him without provocation.
- JuniorVX, on 03/28/2008, -3/+4You missed the whole point of the video. How ignorant.
- Daamien, on 03/28/2008, -8/+623I love how the woman who calls him ignorant goes on to say "just ignore him". The irony is delicious.
- choopie911, on 03/28/2008, -17/+3I bet you most people didn't even catch that.
- pezoamo, on 03/28/2008, -2/+27I bet you were one of them
- Creamedweasel, on 03/28/2008, -4/+21"the ironing is delicious."
- jon30041, on 03/28/2008, -6/+1Zuh?
- SatansSpatula, on 03/28/2008, -16/+4Gah! That's not ironic, since IGNORANT DOES NOT MEAN YOU'RE IGNORING SOMEONE. It means you're unintelligent (or displaying such characteristics).
- PlasmaWhore, on 03/28/2008, -3/+3you don't think she displayed unintelligent characteristics?
- SatansSpatula, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1*HER* use of ignorant being ignorant itself is ironic. HOWEVER, the poster thought it was ironic because SHE was ignoring him. In other words, the poster (who is ignorant) thought that ignorant means ignoring, which it most certainly does not.
- blagoaw, on 03/28/2008, -1/+5There's good cause for it sharing the same root word and there's a close relation. I'd say "unintelligent" isn't its best usage, since we already have the word "unintelligent" for that. When people use the word "ignorant", it tends to carry some accusation of blame for not taking an interest in your world. Here's another definition of ignorant:
"unaware because of a lack of relevant information or knowledge"
If you ignore people in your surrounding environment, that description will likely wind up being more likely to apply to you. - Parkinsons, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3"Up until that point, despite her best efforts, her son had remained blissfully
ignorant of what was happening around him..."
It does not mean unintelligent it means being blind or unaware. When you ignore someone you are blind to what they are saying or doing. So yes, it was ironic.- SatansSpatula, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1The woman was misusing ignorant. If you don't understand that, then you are what? Yes, ignorant.
- RadiatedAnt, on 03/28/2008, -1/+2Im sick and tired of the morons saying "thats not irony" read a ***** book maybe it'll knock the ignorance out of your head!
- SatansSpatula, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1You are an idiot and did not understand the point that was being made.
Was there irony in the video? Yes.
Did the irony have to do with the fact that the woman ignored him? No.
- SatansSpatula, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1You are an idiot and did not understand the point that was being made.
- tim3094, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3She called him ignorant for ignoring her, then she starts to ignore him. Irony.
Did you really need that spelled out for you?- SatansSpatula, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Dictionary.com. Type in ignorant. Prepare to be amazed.
It's painfully obvious that the woman meant 'arrogant' and, therefore, there is absolutely no irony in your observation.
- SatansSpatula, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Dictionary.com. Type in ignorant. Prepare to be amazed.
- PlasmaWhore, on 03/28/2008, -3/+3you don't think she displayed unintelligent characteristics?
- Zorkon, on 03/28/2008, -6/+1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony#Usage_controver ...
- TheYar, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4The word was used correctly. It was ironic.
- choopie911, on 03/28/2008, -17/+3I bet you most people didn't even catch that.
- KevinRWright, on 03/28/2008, -20/+170Why would you talk ***** to a guy as big as Busta? He's practically a saint for just embarrassing her as opposed to breaking her in half.
- dlsspy, on 03/28/2008, -1/+18I've heard he's dangerous.
- maddhopps, on 03/28/2008, -1/+1No, that's Coolio you're thinking of.
- rockefeller2, on 04/02/2008, -0/+1Yes, he's a black man.
- tightscrummy, on 03/28/2008, -1/+3Sounds like you are describing a very ignorant person.
- willywong, on 03/28/2008, -0/+12He would have but he had to take a *****.
You could say she was saved by the bowel.- fef560, on 03/28/2008, -0/+3I laughed
- rentmitchum, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2I think you should have said "bustin her" instead of breaking. Thanks. I love the show, keep up the great work.
- SoundFondler, on 03/28/2008, -2/+0That's ridiculous - you give him respect because he didn't confront her physically?
You're right, it's acceptable when someone calls you ignorant to fight them.- JustinPM, on 03/30/2008, -0/+1Round One . . . . Fight!
- dlsspy, on 03/28/2008, -1/+18I've heard he's dangerous.
- DeathJux, on 03/28/2008, -13/+128Where'd his crazy dreadlocks and orange space-suit go?
- 3vno, on 03/28/2008, -1/+49back to the 90s
- poxonyou, on 03/28/2008, -0/+2I liked that Busta Rhymes much better, but I suppose it wasn't sincere. I guess he had enough of being the crazy looking/acting rapper.
- chrisegilbert, on 03/28/2008, -0/+9I'm assuming he ate both whole...
- RadiatedAnt, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4it went along with the hamburgers :(
- RadiatedAnt, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1nevermind! i just went to his website he's built like a bulldog

- mewoot10, on 03/28/2008, -1/+1i guess everyone who burried me obviously didn't understand in what context i was writing in.
- DrummerAndrew, on 03/28/2008, -12/+359There are children here.....
Bitch, please. You know what's worse than children hearing language they've already heard, and will definitely hear again? Teaching them that calling people names is okay. And what the hell were they doing there? Weren't they excited to see Busta? That says to me that they've heard his music, which, correct me if I'm wrong, uses some pretty strong language. Bitch, please.- willskillz, on 03/28/2008, -18/+4I was there and there wasn't any kids there. She ended up being the one taking a *****. Right in her pants.
- schrankage, on 03/28/2008, -6/+4BITCH PUHLEASE!!! LEAVE BUSTA RYHMES ALONE!!!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!!! ughhuhuhuh
- maddhopps, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1LOL... I don't think people get it, but I was thinking the same thing.
- Nudar, on 04/02/2008, -0/+1DrummerAndrew,
In the UK, ignorant means rude. She simply said he was rude and he was for totally ignoring her.
- Cofaloaf, on 03/28/2008, -12/+23I was totally expecting a pimp smack. Still pretty awesome though.
- queenstarsha, on 03/28/2008, -4/+2why? because he's black and she's a woman?
- diggcensored, on 03/28/2008, -1/+4since when did you have to be black to be a pimp?
- IronPwnage, on 03/28/2008, -0/+4Why of course
- queenstarsha, on 03/28/2008, -4/+2why? because he's black and she's a woman?
- SirBrittanicus, on 03/28/2008, -6/+47Thats some verbal dropkicking right there. Kudos to Busta.

But no seriously why doesn't the man play football?
- Mirk83, on 03/28/2008, -0/+1Yeah, Busta's always been ripped. I guess the Dreadlocks were too distracting for most people to notice. ooo....ooo .....I just got a great idea...Busta vs. Kimbo!!! I'd pay a dollar to see that. :D

- RyanODSJU, on 03/28/2008, -4/+0Why do you think his face is fat as *****? Your face doesn't blow up like that if you're just working out. He is bloated as hell.
