The sad reality of it is there is not a lot of teachers out there now that teach proper moves they teach new age stuff and it looks like trash...

        I like to call it flash and trash.

        Anywho my point is there is a move in belly dancing where you do bend backwards...however this not involve hanging your vail, scarves, wings, canes, or any other props from something and holding on to it.

        Aditionally this girl was NOT wearing a traditional outfit...of any style of belly dance that I know of. My bet is she rented a video or bought a box kit and read a book. Or watched shakira (brazillian belly dancing) and tired to copy it.

        It disgust me because it give all dancers a bad name, and you cant enjoy the art that it is. Every belly dance tells a story...this one tells me shes a floozy

      Regarding what happened, I think I hear an IM sound in the beginning, she was probably broadcasting it for a friend, got into it (thin line between passion and ... something else, which most pasty nerds in front of their keyboards would know nothing about) and the accident happened. It really is only funny if she was perfectly ok, but there are a lot of cowardly ghouls out there.
