- Shadowdev, on 05/17/2008, -24/+845Ya... I don't bother submitting stories. I just try to post clever and witty comments in posts and make friends through that :-).
Who knows... someday, maybe I'll have enough friends/fans to start getting my stories dugg!! *Gazes up into the stars where all of my hopes and dreams are kept* - SoopaflySAM, on 05/17/2008, -12/+472My articles never make it on front page and probably never will

We await a response from Mr.Babyman. - Emnsta, on 05/17/2008, -19/+305And who are the ones Digging his articles? Its a social networking site guys
- YesImAChick, on 05/17/2008, -32/+294In response to: http://digg.com/political_opinion/An_Illustrated_G ...
- anaesthetica, on 05/17/2008, -12/+231I like how you show no comprehension of the legitimate gripes of normal users of the site you are a community member of.
You and Mr. Baby Man and MSaleem have spent a lot of time gaming the system with the specific intent of getting your content to the front page, based only partially on the merit of the content. The other half of your success comes from obsessively friending and shouting to make sure that your stories get disproportionate attention.
The result is that your average users with less than 100 friends and who do not shout spam have a very hard time getting stories to the front page, even based on merit. And that produces legitimate resentment, because the premise of the site is that content can be voted up democratically based on merit, not based on obsessive compulsive gaming of the system in into to magnify attention drawn to your content as opposed to that of others.
Further, there is the consistent complaint that the "top diggers" will submit duplicate stories, resubmitting stories that other less connected diggers have previously submitted. Instead of digging up their submission, "top diggers" will submit their own version, and because they are more connected, their submission gets to the front page instead. (This seems to be the complaint illustrated in the submitter's picture.)
Coming on these threads and pretending to be the victim and pretending not to understand why other diggers are upset is an act of chicanery wearing thinner and thinner. - inactive, on 05/17/2008, -103/+276Wow I guess Digg really does hate active users.
- Elxx, on 05/17/2008, -6/+152Did you guys already forget about when the Digg algorithm was changed to give other less-popular submitters more of a chance to get their stories on the front page, and all the Digg elite (e.g. MrBabyMan) revolted? I thought it was absolutely ridiculous.

- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -7/+142And by "I'll quit" I assume he means "join under a new username."
- vex67, on 05/17/2008, -22/+147I have no idea who Mr. Babyman is.
- chrisj33, on 05/17/2008, -22/+146I always like to believe that some of the stories and things I submit are more interesting than ***** like a new version of Linux available on your Thumb Drive/PDA/Toothbrush
- TheGreatBelow, on 05/17/2008, -16/+136***** THING SUCKS!
- hmunkey, on 05/17/2008, -8/+110No, I just dislike the fact that new diggers and semi-active diggers have a much harder time submitting frontpage stories because a handful of diggers always fill the page up.
- mark076h, on 05/17/2008, -2/+104he alread sent out a tweet "MrBabyMan If this is how the majority of the Digg community feels, I'll quit. I won't be a part of a group that doesn't want me http://urltea.com/37s6 "
- jynweythek, on 09/17/2008, -6/+97Illustraded?
- DigDugDigger, on 05/17/2008, -6/+84Big deal if he leaves... he probably thinks he will be a martyr for the top diggers and his leaving will make a difference, but the very point of Digg is that any user (in theory) should be able to get front page if their submission is good enough.
Go, leave... the Digg community will take your place. Big deal. - cuoops, on 05/17/2008, -6/+83I was a top submitter at one time. Then I got a job........
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -71/+147He will probably kill himself because Digg is pretty much his only reason to live anyways.
- trogdoor, on 05/17/2008, -3/+74Threatening again?
Just do it already, we didn't give a ***** the first time either. - Rodalli, on 05/17/2008, -3/+71THE INTERNET: It's Serious Business.
- Sheeplike, on 05/17/2008, -16/+84This would have been perfect if it was MrBabyMan posting this himself.
- amirman, on 05/17/2008, -1/+68*you're
yeah i went there - Nougat, on 05/17/2008, -0/+66Same, except the only people who friend me are sockpuppets who think they're going to send me all this shout spam, when I don't allow any of it.
- mikeprasad, on 05/17/2008, -97/+160This is *****. I've loved digg for years now, but the digg community is becoming supportive of crap like this then count me out. (and yes I know I'm just one person, but that USED to matter. I guarantee I'm not alone). Whether its MrBabyMan or any other person, they put in the time and effort, in this case, over years; and simply because they are more prominent in the community for it, that isnt a reason to trash them. How's this? what if one of you put thousands of hours in and years of work, then when you do, I'll publicly ridicule you for it? This ***** is completely against why I loved the digg community. I can't believe this even has this many diggs.
- pigducksheep, on 05/17/2008, -4/+68Hello digg user. Your comment has implied that you are a female. According to standard digg protocol, I am obligated to digg your comment up and request pictures of you to verify my assumptions. Thank you for your cooperation.
- ajb2015, on 05/17/2008, -3/+62i've been on digg since the beginning. it used to be possible to get a frontpage article if your submission was good. now its impossible unless you have a posse of friends ready to digg at your command. it doesn't even matter how good your article is, just how many people you know willing to digg for you.
- wontstoptalking, on 05/17/2008, -2/+59http://www.picturebookmarking.com/galleries/upload ...
- Rodalli, on 05/17/2008, -9/+58Ah self-designated importance. It's not like he has special access to parts of the internet no one knows about. He just has a digg squad that diggs up any crap or dupe he posts. Good riddance, I say.
Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! - petemcfraser, on 05/17/2008, -7/+54You must be new. Welcome to Digg.
- nstanosheck, on 05/17/2008, -0/+47Zaibatsu is hated for purposely taking stories that others submit and submitting a dupe and getting that dupe on the front page rather than helping others get their stories on the front page.
- Nougat, on 05/17/2008, -1/+48Well, since you've used two question marks instead of just one ...
absolutely not. - mark076h, on 05/17/2008, -4/+51he might quit digg http://digg.com/people/MrBabyMan_might_quit_Digg
- karebu, on 05/17/2008, -16/+60i don't get the hype.
does it matter who uploaded it? - digitalmischief, on 05/17/2008, -8/+51if your spelling is always this bad, no wonder your articles don't make the front page...
- tech42er, on 05/17/2008, -9/+49He can't take a joke? Screw him.
- italics, on 05/17/2008, -3/+41I wish I had time to revolt against an Internet social news site.
- MikeonTV, on 05/17/2008, -20/+57Thats because your awful at social engineering.
- bradkovach, on 05/17/2008, -4/+41I logged in to Digg you. I have FOR DAMNED SURE submitted some articles better than the crap MrBabyMan posts, but I don't get the DIGGS!
- vex67, on 05/17/2008, -6/+42No, I've been around awhile, just don't really care who submits a story, just whether or not its interesting.
- wontstoptalking, on 05/17/2008, -0/+36I had a great job. Then I found Digg...
- mark076h, on 05/17/2008, -5/+39maybe MrBabyMan will give you some tips?
- gathered9, on 05/17/2008, -10/+43The fastest way to the top is poke the guy already there.
- ahoy, on 05/17/2008, -0/+33I've had only one make the frontpage and it was about Kangaroo farts, I ***** you not. I even submitted an Obama article, but it had actual content.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -0/+32I think this is the start of something beautiful.
- oboy, on 05/17/2008, -5/+36Mutual friend of Submitter -- Jay Adelson.
- cryonix, on 05/17/2008, -0/+30Digging and submitting are different. how many of you check the que (or 'upcoming')? or do you digg only front page stories? "top digger" articles get out of the que faster, thus draw more attention of the "average" digg user (one who reads/digg). As for the more 'intermediate' users (submit regularly but not massively), the content has no merit on if it will make it to the front page if there is no one willing to look into the que.
Also the upcoming section is an intimidating beast at its best times, so i understand why so many shy away from it. - rovsky, on 05/17/2008, -4/+32yes this is creepy
- Shadowdev, on 05/17/2008, -1/+28Nougat... I'm not a sockpuppet and I won't spam you with shouts.... will you be my friend??
