- Verdanic, on 04/12/2008, -0/+2I thought I was the only one who thinks this is just completely inane and has been since about two days after it started. Do people get a laugh out of this still? I just block everybody who does it.

You fail at life and everything.
- SuperWinner, on 04/12/2008, -1/+32The second last one (pole in front driveway) would be incredibly easy to fake, I would not believe that one either unless they had it shown from several angles.
- lukematthews, on 04/12/2008, -2/+6ummm... it actually is real. It's in Rockhampton, Australia
- hellboy1975, on 04/12/2008, -3/+5http://maps.google.com.au/?ie=UTF8&ll=-23.329833,1 ...
In the centre of the map are two houses with dark roofs. The pole house is the one on the left. This is 100% legit - chrisaug18, on 04/12/2008, -0/+19What came first the driveway of the telephone pole?
- hellboy1975, on 04/12/2008, -3/+5http://maps.google.com.au/?ie=UTF8&ll=-23.329833,1 ...
- xanadont, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Shenanigans! The elevation photo and the roof / driveway footprints do not match. Try again.
- lukematthews, on 04/12/2008, -2/+6ummm... it actually is real. It's in Rockhampton, Australia
- DeskFlyer, on 04/12/2008, -1/+25Because it is.
- fael, on 04/12/2008, -7/+2just in case, mirror: http://corcholat.com/!7NV
- stevester, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7The shadow doesn't match
- giveer, on 04/12/2008, -1/+4Exactly. the picture's left removed tire's shadow is cast on the ground as if the light is flush with the tire. (The shadow is more or less a rectangle with a stick poking out the top.) - Whereas the way the light is actually being cast, there's no way the snapped axle would be seen and the shadow would be much more oval. (that and the two snapped tires are far too cloned...er... I mean symmetrical... to be anything but placed on purpose.)
- xanaxaddict, on 04/12/2008, -1/+8ATV's aren't build like that, most of em have a single axle in the back
- chrisaug18, on 04/12/2008, -3/+1Yeah, but I think they are implying that the axle snapped off on both sides which is extremly unlikely...even on one side.
- gt8678a, on 04/12/2008, -4/+1ATVs are rear wheel drive with a differential in the back, they most certainly have dual axles in the rear. And independent suspension in the front. Solid axles are extremely uncommon on ATVs. It's probably shopped, but if the differential came apart along with a few other things, the image shown could happen.
- Shrk352, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4Wrong, nearly all sport quads have a solid rear axle as there is no need for them to have a differential on dirt, and would just be dumb in mud. That quad is a Honda trx400ex which most certainly has I solid rear axle, I own 2 of them. As for the picture I would say its defiantly chopped, the axle is very strong, and if the pic were real it would have had to break in two separate places on either side of the axle carrier, but outside of the sprocket and rear break disk which are bolted to the axle. Also all this would have had to happen on the launch ramp of a jump which is very unlikely.
- xanaxaddict, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3i dont have much experience with "work" type atvs but all sport quads (and that is a sport quad in the picture) have the single axle assembly Shrk352 spoke of
- GeekyGerge, on 04/12/2008, -1/+26I can tell by the pixels.
- priegog, on 04/12/2008, -0/+10And by having seen many shoops in my day.
- geoken, on 04/12/2008, -0/+31Along with the shadows not matching and the lighting being off, the rider can apparently turn his head by slightly detaching it from his body.
- TheStooge1, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1You're right. Good catch... I didn't see that.
- Osirus1156, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1The shadow of the tire that fell off is backwards and too thin.
- bingobongony, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3Not backwards. Fake, but not backwards. That is the showdow of the tire in the foreground.
- chaosevil, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Not only all that, the tires dont match.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 04/12/2008, -0/+8Yeah, it was sort of a let down to see a decent string of good pics ended with that sorry shopped piece of copy pasta leftover from when the internet was born. Oh well, I still "OH SHI-!" at least three times, anyways.
- Ironage, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1it is
- Beaches, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4It was used in a Photoshop contest on worth1000.com. People had to alter the original image (the Atv with wheels attached) into something something different, im guessing this was an entry.
- Zettabyte, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1The 5th one looks like it came from the movie 9th Company. A great movie BTW.
- ep53, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3Whether is photoshopped or not, with over 6 billion people on our planet i am 100% sure this has happened to someone at sometime.
- cornelje, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1You guys obviously don't ride atv's. This kind of thing happens all the time.
- cornelje, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1You guys obviously don't ride atv's. Thing kind of thing happens all the time.
- bradhunt5, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1You have to be pretty ***** unlucky for more than one wheel to come off at once lol!

- mistercharlie, on 04/12/2008, -17/+7Does that guy in the pick-up have a log lodged in his ass??
- scsp85, on 04/12/2008, -24/+6Oh *****!
Am I doing this right? - stlredbird, on 04/12/2008, -6/+278The last pic is the worst photoshopped piece of crap I've ever seen.
- Commodore84, on 04/12/2008, -16/+6Really? How can you tell? (Being serious here.) The undercarriage looks ok. The only thing I noticed so that the tires falling off are different from the front tires, but it's not completely unbelievable that someone would put two different sets of tires on.
- mattcoady, on 04/12/2008, -2/+6The relections are all wrong
- ZombieKiss, on 04/12/2008, -0/+6If you look at the dust flying up from the hill you can see what looks like a curved cutout/blue sky fill about 5mm away from the left tire.
- Alphateam, on 04/12/2008, -1/+8The edges of the tires (falling off ones) are not right. They are too perfectly angled.
They tried to make his head look at the tires. Follow his eyes they are not looking at them. Tilt your head and imagine where you'd have to look to see them. They are behind you, not to the side. The little black post on the far back tire is too black. Heck I don't even think the back wheels are even attached by a small post.
It is not only the image itself, but also think of the physics involved. If it did happen it wouldn't happen the way it is in this picture.
It was a decent attempt and most people wouldn't catch it and get a laugh. So I guess job well done. Only pickey people would really notice. - Alphateam, on 04/12/2008, -2/+2Honestly looking at it again...I'm not even sure the rider and the quad were even in the original picture.
You can see a bunch of weird pixels all around the quad, while you can see the fine dust of the dirt.
Oh and thumbs up for you for asking a question. Most don't because of the negs they might get.- JacZilla, on 04/12/2008, -1/+5The original picture is actually of the rider going over the jump and landing successfully. It was in Baxter Springs Kansas at Racer's Edge MX park around July of 1998. How do I know? My parents took the picture (I was on the track at the time, but the rider on the quad is not me).
Note: This isn't a "MY INTERWEBZ PENIS IS BIGGER THAN YOURS" statement, it was real. My father used to host the website for that track as well as take pictures for the website.

- badjoke, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4His head is really wrong too. You can tell from the angle that it was just flipped.
- charkol, on 04/12/2008, -5/+0Does it matter if its real? If that happened in real life the first that guy would say is 'oh *****!'
- AppleJacks364, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Well, not only is it not real but its not possible as well. The only way your tires would come flying off in the air is if you are enough of a dumb ***** to just not put the lug nuts on. I know from experience I have put my quad through hell.
- charkol, on 04/12/2008, -0/+0I understand that I'm just saying that IF it did happen it would be an 'oh *****' moment.
- chrisaug18, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Just FYI, most ATVs use different tires on the front and back depending on the terrain.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Also, both rear tires are the same tire angled and scaled differently. You can tell my the reflection on the rim and how they're... the same. -_-
- billllyboobs34, on 04/12/2008, -0/+11The shadow is fake
- mgenovese, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7And his head looks a little screwy.
- davidrools, on 04/12/2008, -0/+5You really haven't seen worse?
- jc7012, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Have you seen a lot of poor attempts at photoshopping feces?
- MSstar, on 04/12/2008, -0/+2the reflections are all wrong, definitively fake
- desmondregan, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1yeah when have you ever seen a four wheeler with the back tires smaller than the front
- Thierzarr, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1I guess you never saw my photoshopped pics.
- verkon, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1I've seen a lot of pixels in my days, and these ones are fake.
- Commodore84, on 04/12/2008, -16/+6Really? How can you tell? (Being serious here.) The undercarriage looks ok. The only thing I noticed so that the tires falling off are different from the front tires, but it's not completely unbelievable that someone would put two different sets of tires on.
- CapCzar, on 04/12/2008, -5/+59The horse one may not be real, but it bothers me nonetheless.
- coachmcguirk, on 04/12/2008, -5/+37I wonder how many people lost their jobs as a result of the incidents in these photos...
- bingobongony, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Probably none.
- dafunkmonster, on 04/12/2008, -1/+4...thanks to those good old unions.
- Coffeedemon, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1Maybe due to the fact that a lot of them were accidents and you wouldn't want to be fired for having an accident would you? I'd hope that even without a union that the manager won't just dump you because you scuffed some furniture when your container vessel got overloaded and the stack tipped over.
Maybe you'd prefer the days when they'd wall you up in the abandoned coke oven for stealing atoms at work?
- Coffeedemon, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1Maybe due to the fact that a lot of them were accidents and you wouldn't want to be fired for having an accident would you? - Servebot, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1I wonder how many lost their lives
- viciouspictures, on 04/12/2008, -3/+21that quad pic is such a fake! the horse one is nuts though, if it's real
- ThadeusMaximus, on 04/12/2008, -5/+2Highly doubt that one is real there would be a hell of damage on the front of the car if it was, not mention horse blood.
- DelayedEraser, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3the inside of the car looks pretty empty... it's hard to figure the angles, but I think you should be able to see the front half of the horse a little bit, and you can't at all. in any case, it's a way better editing job than the damn quad
- mateusap, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1i think it happened here on brazil, but not sure doh.
- Blazers, on 04/12/2008, -4/+19The speed boat is named "Temporary Insanity" lol.
- frostyausty, on 04/12/2008, -2/+6"lol"
...
Seriously? - discodeathopera, on 04/12/2008, -0/+9It's actually "Temporary Insanity II"
i wonder what happened to "Temporary Insanity I"- mal1964, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7Insanity; Doing the same dumb thing over and over and expecting a different result.

- jordanlgta, on 04/12/2008, -4/+20What the hell is a hi-lo?
- Dochtuir, on 04/12/2008, -0/+34The thing that's not the bomb.
- skyhook19, on 04/12/2008, -0/+50Most people call it a Forklift, no?
- rhustang, on 04/12/2008, -1/+5i've heard both, but when i actually worked in a warehouse with some people that drove them, they called them HI-LOs.
- breadfred, on 04/12/2008, -0/+6Not to be confused with a Lilo.
- danielsamuels, on 04/12/2008, -0/+6Or a dildo.
- jjremy, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1"I want to see a forklift lift a crate of forks. It'd be so damn LITERAL!"
- Dochtuir, on 04/12/2008, -0/+34The thing that's not the bomb.
- TheStooge1, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3I also said it to the tank-
Does anyone know if it turned fully over, could the crew have gotten out? I know the driver could have because he is in the bottom section, but would the crew be pinned in?- Aharoni, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1This happened during a night exercise when the crew didn't estimate the distances properly. It ended with only in minor injuries.
You can find a LOT more pictures of tanks and other military vehicle accidents here: http://www.fresh.co.il/vBulletin/showthread.php?t= ...
All the posts are in Hebrew (most of the pictures are accidents of IDF vehicles as well). Pretty "oh *****" stuff...
- Aharoni, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1This happened during a night exercise when the crew didn't estimate the distances properly. It ended with only in minor injuries.
- SuicideMouse, on 04/12/2008, -2/+1What about the plane on the runway?
- 11oops, on 04/12/2008, -0/+6Optical illusion due to depth.
- morgan26, on 04/18/2008, -0/+1yeah same here
- jordanlgta, on 04/12/2008, -4/+20What the hell is a hi-lo?
- mountainmoron, on 04/12/2008, -1/+53Didn't Mythbusters try to bust the one with boat hitting the pole?
- TekTrixter, on 04/12/2008, -0/+22Yes, they busted it.
- Rippleeffect, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1which was dumb since they didn't test it in water. I just bounced off the pole when they tested it on a trailer. of course it will do that since water can't compress as much as the air. Try that in water and it would most likely duplicate the picture.
- gmiley, on 04/12/2008, -1/+4Also, that channel marker would have been tilted forward quite a bit if that boat had hit it with enough force to actually split it like that. I have seen those markers get knocked sideways from boats hitting them at rather slow speeds. It happens occasionally here in Florida when you get a lot of vacationers renting pontoon boats without and boating experience at all or drunken yacht owners.
- joshblufs, on 04/12/2008, -0/+12They busted it but.... IMHO its one of their weakest busts of all time. Huge fan of the show but I was not satisfied with their methodology on this one.
- tavisjohn, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7They busted it at the slow speed that was reported. However they said that it was possible at higher speeds.
I do not think that their rig would be capable of handling the higher speeds. I also suspect that the water would also effect the results. And I have no idea how they could do the tests, safely, in water. - CallanHans, on 04/12/2008, -2/+6http://mythbustersresults.com/
- davidrools, on 04/12/2008, -3/+18Mythbusters is a cool show but their conclusions are totally useless. Just because they can't replicate an event with ONE try they call it impossible.
- Tooch07, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1Right, especially with the boat split on the buoy. They rule out that it could be one of those 'one in a million' situations rather than something that can be replicated.
- MrMacMan, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4Which is why there are retests... and fan specials.
- lamiaconfitor, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4Yeah, but actual science relies on consistently replicated scientific results, because of the large volume of stuff they do, budget constraints, etc... is not real science. I still LOVE the show, but...the stuff they do would have to be replicated several times to establish consistency. actual statistical samples in a scientific survey would require better controls, and a large volume of repeated tests. something that isnt viable for tv.
- daRoach, on 04/12/2008, -0/+8They use SCIENCE!
- TekTrixter, on 04/12/2008, -0/+22Yes, they busted it.
- doshindude, on 04/12/2008, -6/+21only like, one of these pics is actually real.

- cl2yp71c, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7OH.....I didn't get that for a second there.
- DannyBoy7783, on 04/12/2008, -2/+1The government. I assume the driveway came first.

- EtherGnat, on 04/12/2008, -0/+2My wife hit a telephone poll that was in the middle of a driveway like that backing out in her brand new car. I was of the mind that you would notice that kind of thing pulling in, but apparently it just "appeared out of nowhere".

- TheStooge1, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4Nope... See first comment trail, it's real.

- lukematthews, on 04/12/2008, -1/+9The house with the power pole in the driveway is Rockhampton, Australia. Apparently, they bought the block of land and built straight off the plans without seeing the land first. I drive past it every time I'm up there just to have a laugh.
(by the way, it's one of the only the photos on those sort of pages I haven't seen a million times... yawn.)- gmiley, on 04/12/2008, -2/+1So you're telling me that the construction workers didn't notice the pole either? Of course, that makes perfect sense, and is totally believable.
- aladrin, on 04/12/2008, -0/+10I believe he's saying the construction workers didn't give a *****.
- jstem1994, on 04/12/2008, -0/+7And THAT I would believe.

- KWCool13, on 04/12/2008, -3/+1lol at the telephone pole in the middle of the driveway.
- tavisjohn, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1I was thinking how that would cause your property values to plummet! I know I would not bother with purchasing that house.
- icono887, on 04/12/2008, -5/+2Amazing.
- Dylson, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3You are new to the internet, aren't you?

It's really crazy, maybe I will go submit it now.- TheSuperunknown, on 04/12/2008, -1/+14Make sure you submit it every three months for the people who didn't see it the first time!
- chrisaug18, on 04/12/2008, -2/+6Its not submitting it thats the problem(tons of crap gets submitted everyday), its the people who digg it.
- EtherGnat, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2You're right, people should have to take a quiz on every item ever front paged on digg before they're allowed to digg anything. /sarcasm
If you really think it's a problem pressure Digg to reduce the requirement to bury as duplicate. - lamiaconfitor, on 04/12/2008, -0/+3Im not digging your comment on principle.

- mad1234, on 04/12/2008, -1/+11I used to live in the street with the house that has the power pole in the driveway. Farm Street, Rockhampton, Queensland Australia.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=f ...
I think it's the second one from the end of the street on the North side.- kingvik, on 04/12/2008, -0/+8Why did you live in the street, I'm sure there were homeless shelters around.
- MuletTheGreat, on 04/12/2008, -3/+1man, ***** rural australia.
I live in the suburbs, here, we have shopping centres, pools, parks and gardens, running water and toilets you dont have to pay to get emptied, electrity, fire and simple tools such as the knife or lever.- mad1234, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Wow. You know a lot about "rural" Australia, *****.
- MuletTheGreat, on 04/12/2008, -0/+2Behold I am Mulet the Great, lord of all I see before me and king that which I do not. I rule my kingdom with an iron fist, yet maintain the balance of peace between the natives and whitefolk with a steady stream of free petrol and free beer for each group respectively.
Rural Australia is full of farmers trying to grow crops in dust. That is all. Thus, ***** rural australia and ***** you citizen.
That is all, now return to your duties post haste and bring me the seared flesh of your finest wallaby.- mad1234, on 04/12/2008, -0/+0I think I know you.

- CaptEnder, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1That is not my truck...
- IpwnZnoobs, on 04/12/2008, -4/+1You would think people would be more careful when handling a BOMB!!!!
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2114/2398353357_7ce ...- dezman2003, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4Bombs like that no explody without being armed. Doesn't excuse their stupidity but other than looking scary the bomb doesn't present much of a threat.
- limedcoconut, on 04/12/2008, -0/+4These are ALL on Failblog. But improved by bold Helvetica quips.
- kitschtothe9s, on 04/12/2008, -0/+0All about the Helvetica, isn't it?

- Wilsomatic, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1I've always wanted to know what could have been in those wasted shipping containers...
- stevenbrown, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2Is it so wrong if I say "OH *****" when i see every picture?

- ufia, on 04/12/2008, -1/+16Fifth pic is not a oh *****, it's a C-17 taking off.
- corneliusroot, on 04/12/2008, -0/+9BORING. The C17 wasn't landing, it was taking off. There usually aren't huge plumes of dust behind jet engines that aren't at full power or close to it. The horse was real. In fact most of them aside from the obviously 'shopped ATV (look at the "shadow" of the wheel) are very real. And, very recycled.
- dorkino, on 04/12/2008, -0/+1Not to mention the landing gear is folding inward. I doubt the pilot would retract the gear during a landing...
- everabsurd, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3All of these are basically fail pictures.
- steveoco, on 04/12/2008, -0/+28Wow if it isn't my inbox from 1999
- mahDigga, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1I could definitely see picture #3 ending badly

- doublehue, on 04/12/2008, -3/+1How does one manage to hit a horse and have it be impaled through the windshield? That must be fake...
- turbod33, on 04/12/2008, -0/+16I think my mom emailed me this last week.
- eviljolly, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2lol, I just e-mailed this to my mom since it looks like something she would send me.
95% of the stuff I get I've already seen, but oh well, at least she is participating on teh internets :)
I'm still working on getting her to not vote McCain though....
- eviljolly, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2lol, I just e-mailed this to my mom since it looks like something she would send me.
- Hoogs, on 04/12/2008, -0/+5How many times must this series of pictures hit the front page? Is there really anyone on the Internet who has never seen these before?
- Mechanicat, on 04/12/2008, -1/+0I haven't seen some of those before.
- gormlens, on 04/12/2008, -2/+4none of them actually made me say "Oh *****"
- cbarrett4, on 04/12/2008, -2/+0Dude, if you haven't seen it, it's new. FYI, photoshop works baby! I think a couple were real, but the four wheeler is really fake.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2355/2399184586_7bc ...- tavisjohn, on 04/12/2008, -2/+1That is more of an "Oh *****" for your spouse after you show her the new house you just purchased.
