- MikeonTV, on 05/14/2008, -3/+202I am reading this because I'm on step 2.
- hammburglar, on 05/14/2008, -1/+18ive been jumping between 6 and 7 for about a year now. needless to say, i get a lot done....
- nevinl, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1yeah....i think thats how college is...at least in the degrees that will actually amount to something...
- RockeN5, on 05/14/2008, -2/+10Tonight I'm staying up even later because I did nothing productive today. They must have spied on me to make this chart!
- Fordi, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2I crashed at about 8pm, after having stayed up until then from the previous day. I'm now being unproductive.
- rpgmaker, on 05/14/2008, -1/+18So this is how the Debian logo was born?
- Fordi, on 05/14/2008, -1/+4Undoubtedly; apt was obviously created from an interlocking series of developers pulling all-nighters.
- Lanlost, on 05/14/2008, -1/+2You, sir, deserve more diggs for that comment.
- glinsvad, on 05/14/2008, -1/+7*wishes for insomnia so I could pull all-nighters every night*
- ivantalboys, on 05/14/2008, -1/+7You do know your alter ego is unlikely to be as cool as Tyler Durden.
- glinsvad, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4But he makes a mean coffee
- ivantalboys, on 05/14/2008, -1/+7You do know your alter ego is unlikely to be as cool as Tyler Durden.
- Yuo122986, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2I just pulled an all nighter for two exams today because I spent the last two days watching foreign films and playing super smash. And right before my first morning shower I decide to check digg... It's scary how much digg knows my life.
- rigorious, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2once I partied for 9 hours - slept 2 - worked (delivering mail) 6, after it all I hadn't eaten for 22 hours. I thought I was gonna die.. or at least puke :/
- rentmitchum, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Every 3 days I start one of these cycles. I stay up all night and through most of a day so I can start getting up early again. Then for about 3 days my bedtime gets progressively later until I'm screwed and can't take my GF to work in the morning, so I gotta pull another 30 hour waking period to reset.
- mrASSMAN, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1I am currently at the bottom of this cycle and every day I try to pull myself out of it.. No success as of yet. I will try again today.
- hammburglar, on 05/14/2008, -1/+18ive been jumping between 6 and 7 for about a year now. needless to say, i get a lot done....
- ChiffX, on 05/14/2008, -1/+89And all of this is because a paper assigned 3 weeks ago was due the following morning, and despite pulling an all-nighter, you still fall short of the minimum word count.
- antiorblkflag9, on 05/14/2008, -1/+18Yeah, I have two exams tomorrow....hmm...I wonder what's going on in the upcoming stories?
- thesparrowband, on 05/14/2008, -0/+32yeah, and you make it just below 500 words or something and all thats going through your head is "Are they gonna count it? he wont actually count it. nobody actually counts it....but he might. what if he does? oh god.."
- nreynolds, on 05/14/2008, -0/+13screw flanders screw flanders screw flanders
- carrtoonist, on 05/14/2008, -0/+4Or "that is just the kind of writer I am, I don't need as many words as most people".
- SargedeathXmode, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3lol, I think the same thing too. Cept it's usually over writing... As long as it's not a significant paragraph over. Or under. They go through like 30+ papers, so they really don't count XD.
- ayeroxor, on 05/14/2008, -1/+3If I was the professor, I'd OCR everyone's paper and have Word Processor du Jour give me the word count :D
- Treshnell, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1I'd just require digital copies and throw the paper medium out the window.
- SargedeathXmode, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1Good luck with the eye-strain and the fact that you have to work indoors all day.
- ayeroxor, on 05/15/2008, -1/+1Thanks!
- Brss45, on 05/14/2008, -0/+28even better when you pull and all nighter, finish the whole thing, and the teacher decides no to collect it until next monday.
that's happened more than once. such a let down.- FortyNiner323, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1yeah, LAST WEEK! ahhh
- Dystisis, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1You're one of those guys who ruin it for everybody by asking the teacher if we were supposed to deliver our homework, aren't you?
- glinsvad, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1even better when everyone else in your group decides to pull an all-nighter, then you show up fully rested the next morning to correct typos in the finished report
- TheSlinky, on 05/14/2008, -1/+0The best is when instead of pulling an all-nighter u do it as quickly as possible without regard to quality, get it done in a few hours and end up getting a higher grade for it than all your friends. Happens to me all the time.
- Harbinger67, on 05/14/2008, -6/+6I'm the opposite. I end up overshooting the maximum page limit by one or two pages, and have to frantically cut stuff out. The only downside is is that by that time I have forgotten what I wrote and have to check and re-check everything to make sure I didn't cut out important things. It's not fun.
- mrASSMAN, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1Same here. I am a chronic over-typer and procrastinator.. it really doesn't make any sense.
- jbham184, on 05/14/2008, -0/+8the story of my life...
- Refridgeron, on 05/14/2008, -3/+3Same thing happened to me... except over an entire quarter we were to do a one and a half page paper about anything ... I decided to wait 'til the night before the last day of the semester and I wrote 13 pages...too bad i was up 'til 7:45 doing it so I slept and missed school that day... Still got credit though.
- Lith25, on 05/14/2008, -0/+10You submitted a 13 page paper for a 1.5 page assignment? I wouldn't of even graded that if I were a professor.
- Anpheus, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1The professor probably had a teaching aide who was told to grade -everything-!
- Refridgeron, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1I meant every *week* we were supposed to hand in a 1.5 page assignment on anything we wanted. But lateness didn't matter so in the end it all added up to a little less than 13. The point was that I'm most productive during "all-nighters"...jeez.
- Lith25, on 05/14/2008, -0/+10You submitted a 13 page paper for a 1.5 page assignment? I wouldn't of even graded that if I were a professor.

I am somewhere at the teenage stage of life where you stay up late because you felt like it. Then you PROMISE yourself to go to be giving yourself at LEAST 10 hours of sleep. Then you say "Psh, screw that" and you look forward to the weekend.
(Then sometimes you stay up/sleep in on weekends. Then you are not tired at 2AM when you have to leave for school/work/whatever in 2/3/4 hours.) - jordyhoyt, on 05/14/2008, -1/+6this is oh so timely. i went to bed at 8am this morning, ugh
- mnemy, on 05/14/2008, -3/+35Inaccurate! The last step is all-nighter --> Party --> crash. When you manage to complete whatever you had to do, such as finals, ya gots to keg stand until the last ouch of strength leaves your body. Then you sleep for 20 hrs straight.

- DAGman27, on 05/14/2008, -0/+2I'm stuck in that EXACT cycle right now...The one day I managed to stay up past noon, I ended up falling asleep at 5AM the next day. Your brain goes to mush after 36 hours without sleep.
- BoneheadFarker, on 05/14/2008, -0/+1No. You only think it goes to mush after 36 hours, when in reality it turned to mush several hours before.
- SqlByte, on 05/14/2008, -0/+3Happens to me all the time, because caffeine is not working for me anymore. I can't find a cheap everyday drug to keep me awake.
