- chrismwood, on 10/06/2009, -4/+589Dug for the "Dear Mom" letter. I ***** love Cracked.
- tj111, on 10/06/2009, -3/+532Dugg for the screenshots. It's a whole separate story unfolding in the article that alot of people would miss.
- kylescousin, on 10/06/2009, -1/+424Filenames longer than 8 chars? Finally something worth upgrading for!
- inactive, on 10/06/2009, -7/+308I obviously know this is a joke but I never understood why people bought pirated ***** on eBay. If you're going to buy something illegal, why not just get it yourself?
- Ragarnok, on 10/06/2009, -2/+263I hope my computer will be able to run Minesweeper :/ I'm only able to play Crysis on Vista.
- Sparky9292, on 10/06/2009, -2/+216Damn did Win95 really fit on four floppies? I never installed it from scratch as it was already on my piece of ***** $2000 Packard Bell Pentium 120Mhz. (God that was my worst computer purchase ever)
Funny article, though it makes me go down memory lane. Playing Doom, Command and Conquer, Warcraft I/II over Kali's IPX to TCP service brings back sweet memories. - 4degrees, on 10/06/2009, -5/+209who buys from Ebay user UR_a_Ediot67?
dugg. - stevieraveon, on 10/06/2009, -0/+160"Tell dad I never was gay"
- TrevorBradley, on 10/06/2009, -3/+162To be fair, 9 and 5 do in fact average out to be 7.
- Mapekz, on 10/06/2009, -0/+146Just a FYI.
/geek on
The icon of Minesweeper in the screenshot is from XP, not 95.
/geek off - rdldr1, on 10/06/2009, -8/+148I'm a Computer Science student at my university and have been able to download Windows 7 legally for over a month already. I don't think there is a limit either.
MSDN Academic Alliance for the win! - weaksnyc, on 10/06/2009, -2/+112Convenience. Buying a pirated copy off the street takes about 3 seconds and zero effort. Ironically, there's also no fear of legal action even though you're actually exchanging money for a pirated item.
- sockpuppets, on 10/06/2009, -2/+108Microsoft sent me a houseparty kit with free windows 7, it arrived today. The whole puppet family is pleased.
- surfergirlsc, on 10/06/2009, -0/+99"Pyoo! Pyoo Pyoo!"
- spikes, on 10/06/2009, -1/+98Ah, the days where a fresh windows install only consumed 41MB of disk space.
- ultrafez, on 10/06/2009, -0/+93Some people don't know how, but still want it anyway and will pay pirates to get it for them.
- jnuffnuffnomnom, on 10/06/2009, -4/+97i lold so hard i fell on my dogs dick
- KayinAngel, on 10/06/2009, -1/+93
i still have one on CD. you can have it for $150

Pretty much all of them were ***** cam's that I could just download off Piratebay, but they still said that they were getting a good deal.
- TecK415, on 10/07/2009, -0/+90Yeah that excuse is ok for the first dick fall but this has been an ongoing problem with you and frankly it's pretty distracting for the other employees.
- dlan4327, on 10/06/2009, -1/+83Son. Of. A. Bitch.
- mkriss5681, on 10/06/2009, -3/+85I'd actually pay for a licensed copy of Win 95. Cool nerd collectible. I miss the glory days of Win Doom.
- gavintlgold, on 10/06/2009, -0/+82ooh wow USB support. Thems some advanced technologies.
- theuber1337, on 10/06/2009, -1/+82No, I think you misunderstood. Your reply makes no sense. I got Win7 from Microsoft, for free. Licensed. With a key. You see, Computer Science students are given free software by Microsoft. This is called the Microsoft Academic Alliance. I'm not sure how you equated that with piracy.
- themastersb, on 10/06/2009, -1/+71I cant read Cracked articles in public out of fear of bursting out in laughter and causing a scene.
- roxgod666, on 10/06/2009, -0/+68You have no taste in humor?
- brownsound00, on 10/07/2009, -1/+68Never turn the geek off
- MrMcGuire, on 10/06/2009, -0/+65This sucks. He didn't even review the new paint.
- MattB123, on 10/06/2009, -0/+62It was a ***** mountain of floppies! I was working an IT job at the time and had to do the install a number of times.
My favorite part what when installing from this new type of media called a CD ROM (maybe you have heard of it?) it would get to a point where it boots into windows but hasn't loaded the CD ROM driver yet, so it needed that from the CD and you, the installer are stuck in catch 22 hell! - TenaciousG86, on 10/06/2009, -1/+61You have no soul...
- MattB123, on 10/06/2009, -0/+46He's part of Office, not Windows isn't he?
- theuber1337, on 10/06/2009, -1/+46I got a free copy from the Microsoft Academic Alliance about a month ago. Left Vista in the cold, and I hope it catches pneumonia.
- Spure, on 10/06/2009, -0/+45I rarely laugh out loud at articles, but this one got me.
- Turbojugend27, on 10/06/2009, -0/+44Friends with a MSDN account for the win!
- lostman1027, on 10/06/2009, -0/+42Awww man he forgot to include Windows Fax in his review :(
- buddamus, on 10/06/2009, -0/+41Does it support ZIP Drives?
- FingersMckenzie, on 10/06/2009, -1/+41I knew something was fishy after the title. "Pirated copy of Windows 7 I bought..."
- damnshoes, on 10/06/2009, -0/+40'If I find you I will cram your ass through your earhole and nuke"
what? - photochopped, on 10/06/2009, -0/+38An Ediot apparently.
- newsboys, on 10/07/2009, -0/+36Forget Korea - It's called the "Pacific Mall" - you guys from Toronto know what I'm talking about..
- SubxeroSnipa, on 10/07/2009, -0/+36You mean the same guy who SOLD to Ebay user I_aint_payin_you?
- freezerburn666, on 10/07/2009, -1/+37nothing is free.... it's called tuition
- robertisaar, on 10/06/2009, -0/+35IIRC it was 17 or 18. it just came in 4 packages.... i have it around here somewhere...
- MrMongoose, on 10/06/2009, -0/+35Ugh, you just brought back nightmares of editing config.sys and autoexec.bat for hours trying to get the CD-ROM to work.
- Someb0dy, on 10/07/2009, -4/+39My fravourite part.
It's funny because it's actually true. - SSUK, on 10/06/2009, -0/+34*****, I nostalgia'd. I still remember the certificate on the inside of the CD case. And the big-ass book they supplied with the OS. And Hover, man that game was awesome.
- hasslinthehoff, on 10/06/2009, -2/+35Where's the Paperclip?
- Jarasmen, on 10/06/2009, -2/+35The Paperclip of Dread came 2 years after the release of Windows 95, so it might be missing. It's more of a Windows 98/ME thing.
- JakeBC, on 10/06/2009, -4/+37I wish I could digg this twice. Funniest thing I have read in a long time!
