- shark72, on 12/03/2008, -0/+17About that poster: it's just one of several hints dropped that Sam Emerson (Corey Haim's character) is gay. It was something that was a complete fly-by for me when I saw the film in the theatres (yes, I'm old) but when I caught it at a recent midnight screening, it was really obvious.
Other hints are his "Born to Shop" shirt and his general way of dressing (rather more flamboyant than the other characters, even by 80's standards), his penchant for bubble baths, and the way he's WAY more into that male singer on the boardwalk than his brother is.
The Lost Boy's director, Joel Schumacher, is pretty darn gay himself, and he likes to drop little things like this. Remember, this is the guy who put nipples on the Batman costume.
