- hyperkill, on 09/07/2008, -11/+702It's possible that he is using a script but since digg is using AJAX the page doesn't need to refresh and he can keep going down the line clicking on the "Digg" button. But 82 diggs in 3 minutes is complete *****. The sad thing is that if he ever got banned from Digg he would probably kill himself. This site is his life.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -16/+683that is a digg every 2 seconds. not even possible without a script.

- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -34/+405MrBabyMan sucks.
- benologist, on 09/07/2008, -4/+353I think it's important to not lose sight of the big picture here or even single out MrBabyMan for doing it. He's just one of many doing it and he's far from the worst. Badwithcomputers has dugg 1368 stories in the last 48 hours. The real problem is Digg *allows* them to do it and has for so long that this behaviour isn't even abnormal, it's the standard if not only way to get stories front paged.
Not only does digg permit it but they profit immensely from it. Since you can't vote on profile pages each person blindly digging an insane amount of stories a day (and not blocking ads) is racking up 3x that number in ad impressions just from their digg swapping arrangements. Multiply that by however many hundreds or thousands of users and their combined retardedness and you're talking up to millions of ad impressions a day. - Blant, on 09/07/2008, -14/+357If only they allowed digging in the Olympics...
- cl2yp71c, on 09/07/2008, -13/+301MrBabyMan should digg himself a hole and never come out.
...no internet access either. - sniurkst, on 09/07/2008, -20/+306Obvious digg whore is obvious.
- AriaStar, on 09/07/2008, -12/+286Jay, Kevin, you guys need to investigate MrBabyMan. Submissions and Diggs too quick to be possible without a script. There is obviously a real person behind it, but he's not reading and is just gaming the system.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -5/+250Look, I used to work for a sleazy marketing company that did ***** like this. They join groups of other companies that form blog networks that they all have access to. They also do the same with social bookmarking sites.
examples of these types of things are:

This WAS my job.
Old school SEO tactics applied to web 2.0 *****. - crazlunatic, on 09/07/2008, -7/+242I think mrbabyman should come out and do some explaining... a digg every 2 seconds is possible but this is just crazy
- sl9sl9, on 09/07/2008, -11/+223[This comment is no longer available due to a copyright claim by MyBabyMan]
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -9/+192MrBabyMan...................doesn't care about black people.
- baillingskater, on 09/07/2008, -8/+164MrBabyMan has been digging for a long time...but now hes dirty, whos going to give him a bath?
- Flashtone, on 09/07/2008, -10/+141MrBABYMAN.. we await your response.
- maxiscool, on 09/07/2008, -3/+125Hm...But the question remains: why?
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -19/+136I have no idea what the hell I am looking at.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -8/+125You ***** rock hyperkill. Let's get this MrBabyMan bastard.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -0/+102Where do you live? In the digg server room?
- Jeffler, on 09/07/2008, -17/+116***** GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -1/+85It's not impossible. I used to bull's-eye wamprats in my T-16 back home. They're not much big........ oh wait
- braininabox, on 09/07/2008, -7/+84MrBabyMan, I would like to introduce you to my Cuban friend...
- robds, on 09/07/2008, -3/+79History shows again and again
how Digg will excuse MrBabyMan
SCRIPT-ZILLA! - borez, on 09/07/2008, -2/+77I would love to see how this sites content would change if you were only allowed to submit one story every 20mins.
- edmoney90, on 09/07/2008, -2/+76Ironically badwithcomputers dugg this story
- borez, on 09/07/2008, -2/+74Definitely a script
- benologist, on 09/07/2008, -1/+70I have a question. In the last 15 minutes you dugg 50 stories. Did you exercise any judgement at all or were they all just friends' submissions that may/will get your submissions dugg in return?
How do you even enjoy using digg when you reduce it down to the chore of digging everything your friends submit and shouting everything you submit? - lolwutpear, on 09/07/2008, -2/+70they do in volleyball
- RedViper1999, on 09/07/2008, -5/+69Just Ban him already.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -1/+64You must not be familiar with the concept of SEO.
Showing up on digg gets you in search engine results very quickly. - temugen, on 09/07/2008, -1/+62I wouldn't be surprised if MrBabyMan dugg this himself.
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -0/+59>"The sad thing is that if he ever got banned from Digg he would probably kill himself. This site is his life."
I lold. Does he even have a job? - paranoiabacon, on 09/07/2008, -1/+59He probably gets paid to submit certain articles. A fair amount of money, too.
- MisterGnome, on 06/13/2009, -3/+61How about this. How about everyone who wants MrBabyMan off Digg diggs HIS stories down.
I guarantee that'll make more of an impact. - MaxD, on 09/07/2008, -0/+57This is what I have issue with (out of anything). Nobody is 'cheating' here, per-say and they're probably operating within the Digg T.O.S, however - to digg this much stuff THIS quickly, they are in my opinion, not operating within the spirit of Digg - that is, they're not reading the god damned articles. How the hell can you know if an article is _good_ if you haven't read it. This kind of tit-for-tat behaviour hurts everyone on the site because it pushes unvetted content to the front page. People who behave in this manner are gaming the system, are making it less enjoyable and less useful for those who take the time and care to digg stuff they've actually read and enjoyed even if they're not overtly breaking the rules... I'm sure getting by on a technicality like this can help them sleep at night.
.. or, perhaps because Digg isn't _MY_ site, then it isn't supposed to work in the specific way that I think it should, this is a distinct possibility too. At the end of the day, it is a website and that is it. - SwiftKick34, on 09/07/2008, -3/+59CRUCIFY HIM
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -0/+52@Ubergoober3
That's because he finds interesting stories that were already submitted by unknown users, takes them, reposts them, and gets all his friends to digg them up faster than the unknown guy. - JDoorjam, on 09/07/2008, -0/+52......... does not think we should ***** the RIAA.
- ElGubrush, on 09/07/2008, -20/+72Hi, my name is Elgubrush and I'm a level 5 digger. With my sword of witty repartee, I get +22 exp in comments. My name is Elgubrush and I'm playing World of Diggcraft. What's your game?
- inactive, on 09/07/2008, -1/+52even if he went straight down the line digging everything he still needs to click to the next page and load it before he can start going down the line again.
- tjrecord, on 09/07/2008, -0/+49MrBabyMan has likely dugg this already. He probably isn't aware it exists, however.
- iofthestorm, on 09/07/2008, -4/+51@sniurkst: And being dugg up gets him what, exactly? Digg doesn't have any sort of karma system at all.
- AgentD, on 09/07/2008, -1/+47He must be using chrome
- Hayes, on 09/07/2008, -5/+51GIVE US HIS HEAD ON A STICK.
- maxterpiece, on 09/07/2008, -1/+47To people questioning why this matters: the thing that makes digg cool is that supposedly the stuff that goes to the front page is there because a lot of people like it. Unfortunately, most of the stuff that ends up on the front page these days is there because a select group of people have a network of cohorts who will vote up whatever they ask them to. In other words, mrbabyman and a dozen or so other people pretty much control what you see on digg, and can forward whatever agenda they like, can abuse that power so that perhaps less deserving content, or content that benefits them, ends up on the front page. It's *****.
