  • mwarfield, on 10/21/2008, -2/+29I agree... I've had a beard most of my life. For the last 40 years I've been "clean shaven" only a for a very few years when I had not choice (employment). My children (and I have grandchildren now) have never seen me sans beard. No beard means you merely have to shave. Having a beard means you shave (where you don't want it and carefully around the edges were yoy do) and you shape and you comb and you clean and you trim, etc, etc, etc, every day. People who think we grow beards because we are lazy are ignorant morons.

    OTOH... My two boys (both in their 30's) could not grow a beard if their lives depended on it. Me... I would leave the bathroom with 5 O'Clock shadow when I shaved. They just didn't get the gene.
