I'm not the first to defend Tom Cruise, but making fun of his height is stupid, especially considering that actors like Dustin Hoffman and Woody Allen are 5'5. I have met him when I ran a theatre in Vegas as well as some other super short celebrities. Chris Rock and Stallone about the same size as Cruise. Actually quite a few stars are shorter than you think.

That movie annoyed me, not because it was a bad movie but because it is pretty clear that his contract stated that Mr Cruise must look at least as tall or taller than any other actor on screen (that is those rare parts of the film where there is actually someone else on screen). There are parts where he is the same height as character A then the scene shifts and he is the same height as character B and then the scene shifts again and you see that character A is at least a half head taller than character B. There is no consistancy and it got annoyingly obvious after I first noticed.
