http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW6N2icB88s - apothekari, on 08/17/2008, -8/+219I love DC comics read 'em on an off for years,...I think this is the funniest ***** ever.
Downey rocks.
I knew watching him deal with all the fanboy interviews and comments would be cool but this is AWESOME! - Thumper13, on 08/19/2008, -3/+166I don't agree with him, but god damn do I love his honesty and candor.
Funny *****. Hollywood needs more honesty and actors like him. - amanilaenvelope, on 08/17/2008, -16/+157Oh! Downey thinks im smart for watching The Dark Knight and understanding it! I have never felt so much warmth in me before. I think your smart too, Mr. Downey Jr!
- redfred18t, on 08/19/2008, -18/+157***** THING SUCKS
- orlyfactor, on 08/19/2008, -3/+137"I'll burn that bridge when I come to it" - Awesome quote.
- CourtesyFlush, on 08/19/2008, -6/+134This reads like an Onion piece.
- deadmoo, on 08/18/2008, -2/+119You felt his warmth in you?
- Lucifugerising, on 08/19/2008, -3/+117People are taking this seriously?
It was a funny joke and a jab at the competition.
This seems to be the normal RDJ humor. He's just playing around. - jstohler, on 08/17/2008, -60/+159Bitter much?
- ketchupwfries, on 08/19/2008, -4/+93Dugg 'cuz Robert Downey Jr is awesome.
- JoeMondo, on 08/19/2008, -14/+100If I couldn't understand a Batman movie I probably wouldn't brag about it.
- mrblonde314, on 08/19/2008, -2/+80"I'll burn that bridge when I get to it"
My kind of ***** right there. - dafragsta, on 08/19/2008, -8/+81C'mon guys. He's entitled to his opinion. It's not a damnation on his character because he doesn't like the same ***** you guys do. I liked TDK, and I do think it's funny that he liked the Prestige, which is a great movie, but IMHO, a lot harder to follow than TDK.
I still haven't seen Iron Man. - Devrdander, on 08/19/2008, -0/+63I want to know where the pencil disappeared to?
- SHUUTOBI, on 08/19/2008, -12/+71What is there to not understand about The Dark Knight?
- gopher043, on 08/19/2008, -3/+61What do you mean YOU people?
- shadowman99, on 08/19/2008, -0/+53...and that's why he makes such a great Tony Stark.
- busybrain, on 08/19/2008, -11/+59Heath Ledger was outstanding. The Dark Knight was good because of one person. You take him away, and that movie is just another chapter in the batman series.
RDJ is the man. Good for him for speaking his mind. - notthatnoise, on 08/19/2008, -2/+49what do YOU mean you people?
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 08/19/2008, -6/+48WE'LL DO IT LIVE!
- Misinformant, on 08/19/2008, -38/+80Dark Knight was great but Bale ***** sucked as batman. It took me all of 3 minutes to be sick of that retarded voice he speaks in while in costume.
Batman is the only crutch holding DC up against Marvel. DC comics are a joke. - PoSSeSSeDCoW, on 08/19/2008, -0/+40I liked the intended irony with the "your", "you're" gaffe at the very end of your statement.
- punkcat, on 08/19/2008, -0/+39Leath Hedger?
- seraph582, on 08/19/2008, -19/+58- Batman's stupid ***** voice
- The appeal(?) of Maggie Gylenhall
- How a movie about a dude running around fighting crime in grey and black panties/pajamas was somehow considered to be a viable platform for a movie almost as dark and sinister as "Sin City"
All that aside, the Joker sure was fun to watch, and it is pleasing knowing that Batman did his own stunts. Honestly, it's a good movie, but it's far from being the best movie ever. The ending to Iron Man did more for me than the ending to The Dark Knight, and it also didn't feel like it dragged on for too long, either. - coyote1284, on 08/19/2008, -1/+41Iron Man: I don't have parent issues.
Batman: I don't have syphilis. - MisterEX, on 08/19/2008, -2/+38***** blogs. I hate reading crap that's unfinished, half-assed and poorly written.

- Wakkyweed, on 08/19/2008, -3/+35I'll probably get buried to hell for this, but with the exception of Heath Ledger I wasn't particularly blown away by this movie. I thought that the emotional content was lacking and there was no real chemistry in the love triangle of Bale, Gyllenhaal, and Eckhart. The fight scenes were muddled and confusing, and the climactic battle between the Joker and Batman was curiously flat. There were several logical inconsistencies. None of the plot twists caught me off guard. The Joker, who claims to be an agent of chaos with no real plan, actually pulls off incredibly complex plans that would have been easily disrupted if one small thing went wrong. The "Batman Voice" was very annoying. One of the most important Batman villains ever, Two-Face, is introduced to us only to be killed 15 minutes later.
All-in-all, The Dark Knight was an enjoyable summer Blockbuster, but it was nowhere near as groundbreaking and epic as I had been led to believe. - MOJIRA, on 08/19/2008, -3/+34It's called HUMOR people.
- babylonian, on 08/19/2008, -1/+32Probably not. RDJ is tremendously successful and has no reason to be bitter about the success of either movie, because both broke multiple box office records. He's stating his opinion, and there's nothing more to this than that.
- inactive, on 08/19/2008, -2/+32gall.
- asnider, on 08/19/2008, -0/+30I agree that the voice was annoying as hell but, in Bale's defence, it wasn't all on him. They altered the voice in post-production to make him sound ever more gravelly than he already did. Compare the voice in TDK to the voice in Batman Begins (which I think was just Bale without digital alterations) and you'll see that the voice in BB is no where near as annoying. The blame for the stupid voice in TDK falls partly on the director and the studio execs, not just Bale.
- troglodytejb, on 08/19/2008, -1/+26Especially since Iron Man was the first in the series and set up a second movie better even than Batman Begins. Assuming a similar trend, the Batman crew has reasons to be worried-- Iron Man has already made more money in it's lifetime than Batman Begins ($200 million more) and the sequel traditionally makes more.
It's come down to the big 4 superhero franchises now; Batman, Iron Man, X-Men, and Spiderman. Since Spiderman and X-Men may be kicked after disastrous 3rd installments, it may be down to a Batman-Ironman matchup. Who knows where it will go? Speaking from the data, Iron Man has the potential to be the strongest franchise of all time, and I don't think RDJ has any need to badmouth TDK for competitive reasons. I think he really just didn't like the movie, which is fine. As much as I liked it, it was overrated... - murk, on 08/19/2008, -13/+37I knew you people would be pissed off at this.

The relationship between Harvey and Rachel- Was I supposed to care about it? I didn't know anything about it.... The fact that Batman wants to quit being Batman. Well when did all this happen? Looked like he was having fun to me.... How he can fall of a building unharmed even though a dog can bite through his armor?.... The timeframe between the two movies- I'm guessing not too long but who's to say really because we aren't told anything.
The biggest one for me though was the so-called love triangle between Bruce, Rachel and Harvey which I didn't see develop at all. It was ready made and only used to conveniently drive the plot at critical times. - inactive, on 08/19/2008, -0/+20*batman voice* "Where is he?"
- CrazyRedHatter, on 08/19/2008, -0/+19I'm glad someone else caught the humor. :p
- DapperDave, on 08/19/2008, -13/+32Oh noes...some one has the gal to suggest TDK isn't the greatest movie ever...
- staffell, on 08/18/2008, -18/+37Marvel ftw though.
- notthatnoise, on 08/19/2008, -0/+18what are you talking about?
