If you heard a recording of her it wouldn't be all that special. If some attractive girl lip synced to her song you would think it was nice but nothing special. There wouldn't be a reason to write thousands of articles about her.
She was never famous before not because she was discriminated against but just because her voice wasn't all that special. Now we have a case of reverse discrimination where she is famous because of her looks are not the stereotypical attractive vocal artists. If people still think that show is genuine then please slap yourselves awake.
I went to one of the auditions last year (not to sing, you'll be glad to know, but as a member of the audience) and it is all setup and fake. We get told when to clap, when to stand up. At times we had to retake someone singing because our clapping wasn't loud enough the first time round.
It's as manufactured as it can be. The winner I'm sure is decided from an early stage - although I'm sure they cannot rig the voting system, but I believe what they do is carefully edit someone in good light so they get more votes. Even advising people on what song to sing/not sing. It's all to do with making sure the best candidate has the best song = more votes. - Jersey2FL, on 05/03/2009, -0/+2That's a man BABY!!
