- drdank, on 10/11/2007, -30/+1917deadowl: wtf?!?!?! did she bang the sheriff or something?
But she did not blow the deputy. - CoSMoSYS, on 11/07/2007, -28/+1878WTF!?
- dshPls, on 10/11/2007, -42/+1273Lets just hope next time she drives drunk she meets a tree.
- GirthAgain, on 10/11/2007, -18/+1064Don't you love how the government looks out for the common man?
- deadowl, on 10/11/2007, -25/+885wtf?!?!?! did she bang the sheriff or something?
- mustard, on 10/11/2007, -45/+720What a grade A *****. But even that is nothing next to the ***** that let her out.
- Nastybutler187, on 10/11/2007, -23/+569lol she probably broke all her teeth on the bars :-/
- AcePup, on 10/11/2007, -38/+559And you all are surprised because why?
- pauleric, on 10/11/2007, -20/+496What does "WFT" mean? "What ***** Thou" perhaps?
- brasso, on 10/11/2007, -9/+451Great, and if you get caught downloading her song, you’re practically ***** for life. What a wonderful, wonderful system.
- Neiby, on 10/11/2007, -15/+431I'm surprised. Why even bother making a big deal out of sending her to jail for 45 days (or even 23) if you're only going to leave her there for three days?
- thomasknowland, on 10/11/2007, -7/+3313 days more than O.J.
- dgaspard, on 10/11/2007, -6/+267This ticks me off. I spent 12 hours in jail just for walking while intoxicated. She only gets 3 days for drinking and driving.
- SnuKs, on 10/11/2007, -9/+267@ Baku
Yea I just heard it on the radio. She's out due to a 'medical reason' and will serve the rest of her sentence in house arrest. That's so *****. You guys tell me what medical reason would get you outta jail. There are people in prison right now that have AIDS, Diabetes, Staph Infection, ect that have to rot in there. The fact of her being a walking STD alone cannot justify her release. This is so wrong. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -48/+288"Every man is created equal" MY ASS, anyone have that link to the page that assists with immigrating to canada?
- masonreloaded, on 10/11/2007, -3/+233Like the Georgia guy who is serving a mandatory TEN YEARS for consensual oral sex with a 15 year old when he was 17??? And prosecutors/judges/governor are refusing to lessen his sentence, even though he has already served over 2 years in jail and the law has since been changed to a MAXIMUM one-year sentence because of his case...

Government of Canada main site: http://canada.gc.ca/ - mesoed, on 10/11/2007, -15/+207Don't know what's more sad... having another celebrity got off easy, or the fact that someone actually cares about Paris Hilton.
- Makubex, on 10/11/2007, -23/+202Oh, I can definitely imagine... It would involve a lot of chloroform and one dilated anus.
- ZennZero, on 10/11/2007, -28/+204Okay, calm down everyone. She is only out *temporarily* for medical attention. Evidently she broke her teeth on the freshly painted prison bars.
edit: damn you nastybutler187 and your quick fingers! - timusca, on 10/11/2007, -18/+188You've got to be f'ing kidding me.
- an0nymous, on 10/11/2007, -25/+194@Phantom
Hopefully it's one of your friends. That'll show her! - blurplevtx, on 10/11/2007, -7/+169She turned sideways and slipped through the bars to escape.
- Baku, on 10/11/2007, -11/+157UPDATE: Paris Hilton has been sent home, confined to her home with an electronic tag bracelet.... because of this her sentence has been ramped up to 45 days, as opposed to 23 days. This is official as of 02:09 this morning apparently.
- gkzhang, on 10/11/2007, -4/+139"Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have 'fulfilled her debt to society.'"
That is so much ***** *****. House confinement in a ***** multi million dollar mansion is in hardly fulfilling her "debt to society" - robbh66, on 10/11/2007, -13/+128RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -12/+127FTA:
"She served a total of five days -- the normal stay for a violation of this kind."
orly? - doCTorguy9, on 10/11/2007, -12/+123that is one of the dirtiest comments i have seen on digg.
bravo sir, bravo. - DocSleeper, on 10/11/2007, -19/+128WFT..... If this was me, I would have spent the whole 45 days.... this is bullsh#t, and someone's head should roll, we should not take this lying down. I am so pissed....
- jermo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+109So by this standard, Scooter Libby should be in prison for...less than 2 months?
- noahhoward, on 10/11/2007, -11/+109I'm not sure how they think house arrest is any punishment...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -10/+106Wake me up if she drops dead.
- Timmyftw, on 10/11/2007, -5/+100"we should not take this lying down"
taking it lying down is probably how she got out so early. - superfusion, on 10/11/2007, -6/+98there's a black guy in the United States now fighting to have his 10 year prison sentence overturned; he got a hummer from a girl two years his junior when 17.
- lokai, on 10/11/2007, -19/+103Dude. How the hell do you think I feel right about now? Today is my birthday. I wake up, refreshed, invigorated, thank my lucky stars that I am near thirty and look not a day beyond 19, load up Digg.com and...
THIS?!??!
How the hell am I supposed to have a good time NOW? All of the free tasty, junk food crap and cheesy "Happy Birthday" songs in the entire state will not remedy this. For crying out loud.
I hope this bitch wants Pop-Tarts today and her Toast-R-Oven will have my back. Black and Decker, you are my only solace, don't let me down, man! - NSMike, on 10/11/2007, -7/+85Look on the bright side, people: she has a medical issue. Maybe it's terminal.
- MindStalker, on 10/11/2007, -11/+89but said that medical officials "constantly examined" her while she was in jail.
Thats HOT!! - camirillobrillo, on 10/11/2007, -8/+82stupid spoiled whore!
- vileS, on 10/11/2007, -21/+90I don't know about you guys, but I know I feel safer now that she's back on the streets.
- uberkling, on 10/11/2007, -33/+101Oh well America... As a nation you must do the following:
- Prepare to throw away congressional oversight
- Strike evolution off elementary curriculums nationwide
- Issue every redneck fourteen year-old with a high-powered rifle
- Institute mandatory Ritalin prescriptions for every child under the age of twelve
- Imprison and Vilify all software publisher employees and death metal band members as a response to school shootings
- Endorse wholesale supreme court litigation of dead grannies, small children and their housepets in regards to mp3 and movie downloads
- Completely deregulate all utilities and communications services and gleefully accept any and all price gouging
- ...Blergh. Some further examples relating to your disgusting failing health system and the whole "two sets of laws" thing you have going for celebraties/corporate types and the peons that I can't think of a clever way to phrase.
The stupids have won. If you have half a brain, come to Australia. We've got plenty of space, aren't nearly as far gone, and our "celebrities" consist of flagging ex-footy show hosts who grind TV networks into the ground and crusty old gardening dudes with wierd manure obsessions. You'll be in a hell of a lot better position. - hoppdawg, on 10/11/2007, -10/+78Medical reasons? *****, keep the bitch in the slammer.
- GirthAgain, on 10/11/2007, -7/+73According to the front page she may have been found on Mars.
- jwolcott, on 10/11/2007, -13/+79Money talks.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+73"I'm not saying this is right, but it is pretty normal. If any one of us was sentenced to 45 days in jail for a similar crime, we would be out in 3-5 days."
What jails are these? People that I have known that got 30 days in jail for drinking spent 30 days in jail not 3. - irregardlessly, on 10/11/2007, -7/+70@brasso
"Great, and if you get caught downloading her song, you’re practically ***** for life. What a wonderful, wonderful system."
Admittedly her music is pretty bad, but "***** for life" seems a bit harsh, most people can get over similar traumatic experiences with a few years of therapy. - DrDigg, on 10/11/2007, -9/+71You can walk when intoxicated? I'm impressed.
- Pfhreak, on 10/11/2007, -1/+59"medical reasons"
Yeah, I hear cocaine withdrawal can be pretty brutal. - Tarl, on 10/11/2007, -6/+61Yes, yes. According to the article it is "normal" to only serve five days for multiple DUIs and a parole violation.
Maybe I need to move to Hollywood if the local laws there are this lax. Most people I know directly and indirectly that have had multiple DUIs and parole violations from the same problem serve at *least* 3 months and have commuity service plus rehab. No plea bargin, no passing go, done deal. - badbilly, on 11/07/2007, -6/+61Paris, you are a ***** *****.
period.
Please go live in another country. - importfr87, on 10/11/2007, -21/+76WTF!!!! WTF!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM? And they want to be taken seriously?
