- CaptCarrot, on 02/03/2009, -6/+51Shyeah... Like all the clothes she buys are made in America.

- DeskFlyer, on 02/04/2009, -2/+29Buried for Paris Hilton, and anyone else who Dugg this crap.
- D0P3M4N, on 02/03/2009, -2/+27Phew. I was worried there for the minute. Thank God for Paris--good to know we'll be okay.
- inactive, on 02/03/2009, -3/+20Doesn't she spend money like crazy already?
If YES, then she is doing nothing different to help the economy.
If NO, then she would be helping the economy.
I would think that she has been spending money like crazy all along. - skyfyre, on 02/04/2009, -2/+17Except for the fact that the stuff she's gonna wind up buying is going to be the same overpriced ***** from the same millionaire designers who weren't really affected by the bad economic times anyways. She's not gonna be going into the Mom n' Pop stores to buy a loaf of bread, or into a local electronics store to pick up a cable splitter....no, she's going to be throwing more money at Dolce & Gabbana. It's good to know that the bad times won't keep her from being the same, stupid bitch she's always been.
- rolf, on 02/04/2009, -0/+14I was expecting this to be an onion article>.>
- idc5, on 02/04/2009, -0/+11Paris Hilton has inspired me!
I will cure world hunger by eating until my stomach explodes... - Zippo, on 02/03/2009, -4/+15Christ... if Paris keeled over, the average IQ of the country would definitely rise a couple points.
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -1/+12What, she's going to stop making movies and music?
- AlaskaLoneWolf, on 02/03/2009, -14/+24I pledge to help Paris Hilton, out of her clothes.
- makkaveli19, on 02/04/2009, -0/+10actually i think most of them are.
popular fashion (for celebs) has become LA street styles. (china wall, true religion, Audigier, ect) which are designed and made in the US. - yacks, on 02/04/2009, -2/+12...by U.S. fashion designers that have their clothes made in China
- topgigmedia, on 02/04/2009, -1/+10um - stay out of Paris' closet - that's creepy.
- yacks, on 02/04/2009, -1/+9I hear she also gives a good case of herpes..
- Piontek, on 02/04/2009, -1/+8usa isn't the only country influenced by the economic crisis... it's global
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -1/+8...said Paris Hilton, after she was set on fire.
- ToothyMcshark, on 02/04/2009, -0/+6No, no.... no........ no, no, no... nooo.
- Mossman85, on 02/04/2009, -1/+7Shopping? You spelled sex wrong.
- MakanGuru, on 02/04/2009, -0/+6Wait so she actually understood the concept of supply and demand economics?
seriously i am suprised - itsthehumidity, on 02/04/2009, -1/+7Anybody else think she looks like a guy in those clothes?
- CoreyTamas, on 02/04/2009, -2/+8Yet one more of those Digg stories where I skip the story and go straight to the comments.
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -0/+6Also, I bet a majority of her luxury items are imported.
- felman87, on 02/04/2009, -0/+6Spock: Logic sensors aren't picking anything up captain.
Kirk: *****, there's no intelligence in this comment.
O'Reilly: ***** it! There's no words on it! - DrLeePhD, on 02/04/2009, -0/+5lyrics don't really get many diggs... I kinda read it as hip-hop lyrics obviously missing what you were trying to do.
- dOOBiEx213, on 02/04/2009, -0/+4Is that a fantasy of yours?
- Dumbledorito, on 02/04/2009, -1/+5I'm sorry, but aren't you one of the people who thought Sarah Palin was a good candidate?
To put it another way, if I may paraphrase Bill Maher, calling Paris Hilton out on being an oversexed dimwit isn't any more a slight on all women than is making fun of Bush a slam on all retarded people.
Or perhaps for some more recent application: Even conservatives, after much crowing about Dems being "anti-woman" realized that Harriet Miers was an underqualified candidate who would probably have had difficulty working a register at McDonald's, much less performing the duties of a Supreme Court justice.
If people were here making fun of Condoleeza Rice as a "ho" or other sexual name-calling, you might have a point. However, Ms. Rice (to my knowledge) doesn't exist on a bajillion hard drives in a file shot in night-vision performing numerous sexual acts followed by having a history of saying things that wouldn't sound educated coming from a 10-year-old. - estat, on 02/04/2009, -0/+4You're doing it wrong
- bri719, on 02/04/2009, -4/+8what's worse than this bucket o' jizz carrying 18 shopping bags filled with thousands of dollars of overpriced trendy textile crap... turning it into free press. did she run out of gas on the way home again because she couldn't figure out how to put gas in her car, because she'd "never done it before"?
what a douche... - r0g3r, on 02/04/2009, -1/+5From the FA: "The socialite previously pledged her help to the American economy by vowing only to wear clothes by U.S. fashion designers."
- perkoff, on 02/04/2009, -3/+7It's only global because USA isn't buying as much.
- UKsHaDoW, on 02/04/2009, -0/+4Maybe it's her lazy day.
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -0/+4Thaaats right, because Paris Hilton is a great example of a feminist.
- fangor, on 02/04/2009, -0/+4This got me thinking...what is the net cost to the planet (in terms of carbon emissions, poisonous chemicals introduced into the environment, etc...) of keeping Paris Hilton alive? What is the net man-hour loss per day caused by people jerking it to her? How does this compare to the average bimbo? Am I the only one who wonders about these things?
- 0zzy, on 02/04/2009, -1/+5That's actually what the government is saying to do. Buy products, and you'll help the economy. Cause saving is just anti-American!
- acklefutz, on 02/04/2009, -0/+3*****' A. There's no reason why anyone should give a damn about what Paris Hilton thinks about anything.
- Jaxelyse, on 02/04/2009, -0/+3God, when is this bitch just going to go away!!! She was supposed to be a 15 mins of fame amateur porn hooker. Now it's turning into years and years of fame through her stupidity and fake sense of empathy.
- luckyme77, on 02/04/2009, -1/+3NO
- ShArKSe7eN, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2words cannot express how stupid that article was...
- SQLDigger, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2Thanks for the feedback. I was actually going more for the obscure reference thing, where while you don't necessarily get a lot of diggs, you are compensated by a higher level of personal satisfaction from sharing an obscure bit of knowledge or pattern of thought with a few people.
Here, I summed it up in this formula:
D^Of=Pw
(# of diggs)^(obscurity factor) = personal win level
Of course calculating the obscurity factor is somewhat arbitrary, and as best as I can determine, depends primarily upon on how much of a geek you are (Gf). I'm still working out the math on that one. ;) - aschwartz, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2Please tell me why this is even news. Why do we have to hear about everything she does? She is a nobody.
Oh - breaking news, Paris just ***** out some corn.... - smokewater, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2I thought what she did best was make sex tapes, after all that's what she's famous for.
- WhiskeyThieves, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2Why does she have to exist?
- Aethirig, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2It will also benefit the makers of Valtrex.
- truththatsucks, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2Somebody should let her know that the problem is not that we aren't spending enough.
Its that we've increased the money supply by 70% and have only injected a third of what will be added to the system.
Her millions will be with about six loaves of bread soon. - TheConnection, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2Ahahahahahahahahah... *Looks again* Hahahahahahaha!
- inactive, on 02/04/2009, -0/+2Hey, if you goes out shopping is more than most of us will do for a couple of months.
