Everyone has their own taste and so it was wrong of me to say his basic wasn't "good", but it's hard to deny that as time goes on popular music seems to become less and less complex. Not to say all new music falls under this, for example Nine Inch Nails shines with complexity. Perhaps it is just me, I've never really understood the "taste" of my time. Just a shame that the music most appreciated today does not have the care and thought that the Brahms, Beethoven's, and Bach's of the past put so captivatingly into their art. Instead it's almost as if they attempt to deconstruct the complexity of the music down to it's very basics, and it's deemed "good".
