- saintdesy, on 10/11/2007, -14/+746My faith in justice is restored, for now. Let's try to have her STAY in jail this time.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -23/+441That's right, that's right bitch!
http://www.foxnews.com/images/root_images/060807_ParisSobs.jpg - Stonedonkey, on 10/11/2007, -7/+395"That's not something we should be proud of."
Dude, this ain't about celebrity obsession. How many other Paris Hilton stories have you seen on the front page? Ever?
It's about spoiled rich bitches not being above the law. - Scyth3, on 10/11/2007, -6/+365From the article: Hilton left the courtoom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom."
Priceless. - AcePup, on 10/11/2007, -8/+326This could possibly be one of the fastest stories that is/was made popular to Digg's frontpage.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+290If you live in the area, contact your local government officials to remove Sheriff Lee Baca from his post. He was the person who released her, despite the fact that the judge's sentencing SPECIFICALLY said that she was not allowed to use house arrest in lieu of jail.
He's already probably going to be held in contempt of court, which I don't think is enough for this egregious abuse of power. - insomniacal, on 10/11/2007, -1/+283@saintdesy : "Let's try to have her STAY in jail this time."
Naw, let's keep releasing her and dragging her back in -- it's much more entertaining. They say she left the court screaming today. - 69sofine, on 10/11/2007, -6/+259Seriously, is there a more polarizing figure than Paris? I mean, people either hate her or abhor her.
- an0nymous, on 10/11/2007, -5/+234http://www.cultnews.com/?p=2028
Well looky here: Sheriff Baca is a scientologist.
FTA:
"Baca even videotaped a birthday message for the dead founder of Scientology L. Ron Hubbard" - porterfield, on 10/11/2007, -5/+215"Hilton's mother was later seen pacing the hallways, telling reporters, 'I'm paralyzed right now.' "
Apparently her legs still work though. - Killeroid, on 10/11/2007, -7/+189Two cavity searches in a week, ahahaha!
- rhtko, on 10/11/2007, -3/+173Atleast one judge seems to care about justice.
- johnhummel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+157I'm with Stonemonkey.
There are people in jail with cancer, with AIDS, with real problems (mental and physical) - and they all get to serve their time. They don't get to leave because they have a hangnail.
When Hilton got out, I was incredibly angry, because it was a failure of the idea of Rule of Law: that no one, not the rich, or the powerful, is above the Law.
The judge seems to believe this as well. It might be only symbolic, but maybe if one rich person is forced to actually obey the law, then there's hope that others who think they are above it will give pause and think that, unless they also decides to obey the laws of the land, they could be next. - Popdmb, on 10/11/2007, -34/+186@ acepup
That's not something we should be proud of. - wildwobby, on 10/11/2007, -5/+152She should get an extra couple months for escaping.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -11/+147Paris: Excuse me your honorship, Didn't I suck your dick?
Judge: Wrong bitch. That was the sheriff.
*Moral of the story, know who to blow. - incognit0, on 10/11/2007, -12/+148That's hot.
- AcePup, on 10/11/2007, -25/+159"That's Hot". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k66epna2Sss&
- perryjoyce, on 10/11/2007, -0/+111"Women in general love Paris Hilton."
This is the most offensive thing I think I've ever read on digg. - flash2000, on 10/11/2007, -1/+112Well, good deal. I had a good friend killed in high school by a drunk driver, so it's nice to see that you can't buy yourself out of jail after all. Good on the Judge and D.A. for putting the brakes on this buy off.
- SeaMowse, on 10/11/2007, -4/+113Oooohhhhh - I just heard that she will be serving her entire 45 days!
- Popdmb, on 10/11/2007, -7/+116@ killeroid
You're only counting the ones ordered by the courts. Who knows how many she's volunteered for? - unicronband, on 10/11/2007, -7/+106She should've blown the judge too...
- GirthAgain, on 10/11/2007, -20/+116Justice: 1 Paris: 0
- kavery, on 10/11/2007, -18/+114The price is wrong, bitch.
- NyteStarNyne, on 10/11/2007, -4/+97Need more croc tears you say Digg? Sure, why not.
http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tmz.com/media/2007/06/0608_paris_car_cry_inf.jpg - eagle22s, on 10/11/2007, -2/+86"THATS NOT RIGHT" Paris screamed as she was pulled out of the courtroom to go back to jail to serve her ENTIRE sentence. What a dumb ass. Guess that puts the party they were planning when she got out of jail early OVER
- papastout, on 10/11/2007, -2/+84...and another L.A. Riot is averted...
- Kurisuku, on 10/11/2007, -7/+83Many young girls, and women in general, for some bizarre reason really love Paris Hilton. They think she's "wonderful."
I know that's hard to believe for anyone with half a brain.. But really. Even my Mom wishes they'd let her free, and many of the girls on campus were writing petitions to keep her out of jail.
It's sick and sad, but I think that's just american pop culture nowadays. - EmmSee, on 10/11/2007, -13/+88Over/Under on when she steps out of jail AGAIN? I say 4 days.
- nick34, on 10/11/2007, -3/+77C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER
- itatag, on 10/11/2007, -0/+70I just went on Paris Hiltons myspace reading her super fans comments and found she was surfing myspace during house arrest. Look at her comment on this guys profile:

Here it is for those that don't like myspace:

Hey james
How's life going?
It was really nice to see u yesterday
really enjoyed my self seeing all the family united.
I have to stay home for like 40 days .
But i hope to see u next week.
i send all my love.
Big kiss
Paris
LOL!! Looks like she's not going to be staying home "for like 40 days" anymore. - johnhummel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+68No kidding - I was terrified that a legion of white women in high heels would rampage through the city, snagging all of the Prada they could and making their illegal immigrant maids carry them home so they could continue their swath of destruction.
Hopefully, now they'll decide to just stay home and have a botox party or something. - ChronicColonic, on 10/11/2007, -14/+72The thought of Paris in handcuffs is kind of a turn-on IMHO.
- mrgreenjeans, on 10/11/2007, -2/+60If she wasn't sent back today, I was confident she'd be sent back in a few days for violating her house arrest.
- phantom_mullet, on 10/11/2007, -0/+55Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't she say on TV that she would serve her sentence out and that she didn't want any sort of "special treatment"? And yet she leaves the courtroom kicking and screaming?
- kevinvsgodzilla, on 10/11/2007, -2/+56My faith in the justice system has been . . . somewhat . . . restored. Still, there's a guy doing ten years in Georgia for getting a blow job from a minor even though he was SEVENTEEN at the time! He's not a celebrity and he doesn't have Paris' money. What the *****?
- AcePup, on 10/11/2007, -8/+61@popdmb
I know it's now.
In regards to my previous comment about it being probably one of the fastest stories to make the frontpage it was made popular in just 12 minutes with 90diggs, just for the record. Because us Diggers love stats. :) - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+52A wise man once said, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."
- tgunner, on 10/11/2007, -3/+52JUSTICE. IS. SERVED.
- arbulus, on 10/11/2007, -7/+55seriously, you think she's attractive?
She is one of the most UNattractive people I've ever seen. - IShouldBeWorkin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+44in, out, then back in again....just the way paris likes it
- edru, on 10/11/2007, -1/+45Actually she was cavity searched. It was rumored she wasnt, but she was. She didnt get the finger in the ass treatment though, no one does unless they have real reason, its just a Drop your pants, bend over and cough type thing..
ive been to jail, did it myself sadly in a row of people. - edrift101, on 10/11/2007, -5/+48I bet her "medical condition" is that she's not a natural blonde.
- growlzor, on 10/11/2007, -2/+43Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer is my new hero
- FearMEiDEA, on 10/11/2007, -9/+48"My daddy paid you how can you do this to me???"
*sob*
"Is'nt a BRIBE worth anything anymore, what's the world coming to?!?"
*sob*
BTW if I break the law in CA can I share her cell? *SHWING* - CannedMango, on 10/11/2007, -4/+41@jackaranda
She now has to serve 40 more days in jail (45 total - 5 days served). She would have only had to serve 23 days in jail if she had acted on good behaviour. - mateo60, on 10/11/2007, -2/+37Props to CNN for being the only cable news network not doing Wall To Wall Paris Hilton right now.
- unknownpoltroon, on 10/11/2007, -2/+37really? You got a DWI, got your license suspended, drove again, and got busted twice more? Wow, you're a dumbass too.
- montyplease, on 10/11/2007, -3/+36If everyone in jail got to serve their sentence from home because of psychological issues, the prisons would be empty.
Locking this skank back up has brought me tears of joy, and belief that there still is hope for justice! -
