        Secondly, you obviously place financial matters above the lives of people. How much more coverage of our financial situation did we really need today? What more information could have been conveyed about the stock market in those 2 minutes on the evening news tonight? And do we really need to scare people even further so they will get out of the market, stop spending and make things worse?

        You can be upset that one man's death got the news while thousands of others who died today didn't. But that's reality, a man who is known by millions will make the news, and a man who isn't, won't--deal with it.

          It's a metaphor, in this case, for his decision to kill himself. It's an explanation for his self-destructive behavior, the oppressive and unshakable feeling of entrapment, where you're unable to reach out to those around you, and/or you can't trust those that reach back.

          But hey, I don't pretend to understand the burying habits of diggers. It doesn't matter.

            It sucks that he died and he was a great actor and all, but he died because of his own stupidity. I'm not going to get sad over something like that, but it doesn't make him any less of the person he was.

            If it was accidental from sort of medication he wasn't taking to get high, then I'm sorry for the above statements.

      It really could have been accidental overdose instead of a suicide. It was obvious he was under a lot of stress, not sleeping at all. It's plausible that he could have taken a few pills to try and sleep but when that didn't work, take a few more. He could have forgotten how many he's taken and eventually overdosed. But for now, I think it's best to withhold our speculation until more news comes out.

        Where is the accountability? Where is the sense of responsibility? We all hear news of these celebrities that live their lives completely unfettered and un-inhibited and glorify them for it. Nobody is there to rein them in when they're being an idiot. Nobody pulls them up when they are feeling self-absorbed and doing stupid things. No wonder we hear of this "celebrity overindulgence" so often.

        I feel partly responsible for lives like this that shouldn't be wasted. I read the tabloids just like everybody else. I go to his movies and read about his high-flying lifestyle, just like everybody else. Am I supporting celebrities when they behave like they do? Probably. My money keeps these guys in the lifestyle they're in. So, I feel responsible.

        Wake up, Hollywood! You glorify and deify a lifestyle that should not be lived up to. Linsday, Paris, Britney...going down the same path that Chris Farley, River Phoenix, Kurt Cobain all did...and going back further, James Dean, Errol Flynn...and 10 years from now, it'll be new people. You need to surround yourself with people who love you, and will tell you you're acting like a fool. You need some accountability.

        Heath's death is terrible....and needless. But who will fill in the blank in the coming years? _________'s death was terrible, but needless.
