Brad Pitt Chased Down Wired Cover (PIC)

weblogs.variety.com — Several months ago, Pitt had his agency CAA call Wired--Conde Nast's tech-savvy mag with a growing circulation of about 700,000 readers, predominantly male--and suggest him for the cover. Neil Patrick Harris had just turned the magazine down. After much back and forth, Wired confirmed that Pitt really did want to be on their August cover.

    Pitt has standards and didn't wish to sell out to trash rags. It's a lowering of standards in print media, not a loss of popularity for Pitt.

    You read the article from a while back about the statue in the cia headquarters that they're still trying to solve. that was fascinating. In the last issue my favorite article was about the whole facebook vs google thing, pretty good read.

The stolen Indy car plans and the guys who go in to save sinking ships come to mind as some of the best stories they have put out. Just high quality stuff.

    Brad Pitt is a good looking guy (and arguably a good actor). Married to hot wife and do charities. What's not to like? Not sure if he fits Wired's image though, but hey, whatever right? Heh. You don't buy tech mags to look at covers do you? :)
