    I was told that the owner has only told him to leave for awhile to "cool down" and the gentleman himself said he is a big fan of both Joe and Carlos. Had Joe not posted the video none of this would have ever happened to him.

      Did you watch that video of Bobby Lee or are you just making random comments now? He is smoking a cigarette look closely or hell just look, it is definitely not a joint. Second he doesn't have a sarcastic tone at all.

      I still think it is rather odd how he started to claim Carlos had stole jokes and even starts to say one but stops and now we have him saying he never did. Either way it's not going to help Joe's claims.

What *****, the man tries to save the integrity of comedy, and tries to make sure that people who deserve credits for their acts get their credits, but if nobody ever called mencia out, we would be back to square one and comedians who deserve bookings dont get them. This is a classic story about someone who stands up to someone else who is doing something wrong, and gets punished for it. Rogan confronted Menstelia because it was the right thing to do, and what we're seeing is how money and power in Hollywood can be abused to punish people who try to do the right thing. This is an important story that should be kept in the spotlight long enough for those involved to feel they can't get away with this kind of stuff as easily as they thought.

      Rogan has always been an outspoken critic of Mencia. What happened is the culmination of a long feud.

      Rogan isn't my first choice for anything but if he wants to be the one with enough balls to stand up to Mencia and the corporate entertainment industry that supports people like Mencia, then so be it - I'll support Rogan.

      WTF does Linux and DRM have to do with this? You are talking out of your rear my friend. This alleged copying of stand-up comedy material involves a comedian copying someone else's material and presenting it as their own. What does Linux have to do with this? Please explain? What does DRM have to do with this? Again, Please explain? The anti-DRM sentiment is due to the fact that DRM cripples the right of customers to utilize the purchased material whatever way the wish. That is, to play it on any device, make backups, etc. It has nothing to do with stealing content and presenting it as your own, which on its own is a shady action. It seems to me that you are using whatever opportunity you see to throw dirt at Linux and any Anti-DRM movement. Sad idiot, try again.

      This is a major deal for me though. Comedy is something I love and it's a well known thing that Carlos has been stealing ***** and making MILLIONS off of it for YEARS. It's corrupt, wrong and deservse the attention of a mass audience.

      Live stand-up isn't like an HBO special. You see a lot of ***** comics. I've never seen Rogan bomb. The dude gets heckled to ***** and back every all the time and he always comes out on top.

      1) Why is the flag waving. There is no air on the moon.
      2) Why is it that everyone is moving at about half speed. If the video speed was doubled you would think they were on earth.
      3) Why is it that everyone isnt jumping higher. They dont seem to be jumping any higher then they would on earth.
      4) Without an atmosphere the stars would look brilliantly clear, yet nobody thought to take a picture.

      There is plenty of evidence, just no way of actually proving that we did not go to the moon.

      Proof that we did in fact go to the moon is debunked as well.

      1) We have moon rocks. (these can be found in antarctica where peices have fallen to earth thousands of years ago.)

      The only reason still beleive we went to the moon, is the amount of people involved that would need to be convinced not to spill the beans.

Still there are thing that standup comics hold sacred....and creativity is one. Mencia blew an off hand comment into a shouting match and Joe stood his high moral ground. Stealing is wrong in every culture for a reason.

      Comics toss jabs like the "Menstealia" comment at showcases and open mikes all the time, and true or not they are usually just taken in stride...but it hit a nerve with Mencia because it is true, and Mencia blew up. Mencia is an over-acting hack and theif. Any comic worth 5 minutes of stage time can spot the thievery tendency on him simply by watching him preform....comics develop a sort of sixth sense about this sort of thing after a while. For Carlos the give aways are the over acting and lack of constant voice throughout.

      The video just put into stone and the public eye everything I have ever heard any comic say about Carlos Mencia.

      It's funny you bring up musicians. Both comedians and songwriters get the same series of royalties (mechanical royalties etc.) usually from the same places. If you buy a Bill Hicks record, his estate gets so many points etc.

      If a pop-singer performs a song they didn't write, the songwriter still gets publishing.

      I also see you are a master of debate. Good luck on the "I don't care if he steals, you're just a whiner" argument. May I also suggest "You're gay" and "Your mom" as follow ups.

      Mencia also has a massive public forum from which to attack you. Unless you have equal ground to defend yourself, you risk becoming a target and burring your career.

I have never been a fan of the "oh yeah? f@#k you" school of winning an argument, and I have never been a fan of censorship. Denying Joe Rogan a place to work, insisting on his agency dropping him, and all the other bs that Mencia seems to be pulling is his way of censoring his critics. If someone catches you stealing, be a man and admit it and move on. I will be supporting Joe Rogan in any way I can.

He reffers to Carlos as " this *****" in the first few seconds of the clip...

    No, whoever wrote his wikipedia article says he has a Mexican mother. HE has said on more than one occasion that his "family" is Honduran. He has a long running bit about how he is called Mexican in Socal, Puerto Rican in NY and Cuban in Florida.

    Since his father is German, I'm guessing that makes his mother the Honduran.

    Also in that video joey kept screaming at carlos everytime carlos tried to talk. How can you even say anything when carlos wasnt allowed to talk ?

      As far as Mencia, my buddy (who shall remain nameless) is a standup who has been performing since the mid 90's, and he has told me all kinds of ***** about Carlos. Rogan's not making this stuff up, folks.

      There are a handful of comedians who have earned a special level of "respect" within the community: when they're in the room, other comedians won't go on stage. Robin Williams, Dane Cook, and Carlos Mencia are in that category, and are well known for taking the best ***** from the room and using it themselves.

      Carlos isnt alone. There's the whole Denis Leary stealing Bill Hick's act thing; check out No Cure For Cancer and then go listen to some Bill Hicks. Robin Williams has reportedly cut people checks for using their material (and getting caught afterwards). Paul Rodriguez used some of my buddy's jokes, lifted wholesale and retold without a shred of guilt.

      Unfortunately, all media outlets are basically in the business of stealing other peoples' content. Most radio station comedy morning shows do nothing but snatch other peoples' material and re-broadcast it. Most television and news outlets; hell most web sites, even sites like Digg, pretty much exploit other peoples' creativity. It's unfortunate that this is the way things work. But when someone like Menstelia makes a successful career out of it, then he's the eBaum of comedy.

Let's not lose sight of the point here. This isn't about how/good bad you think Rogan is as a comedian, or a human being, or whether you know who he is or not ("I never heard of him, he must suck! Carlos rulz!"), it's about what Carlos Mencia has done and is doing now. Rogan isn't exactly my style of comedian, but it's not about him, unless he is stealing a bunch of jokes and using his fame to crush other comedians who exposed him.

      Carlos has been around since 1988 and I find it kind of hard that he would steal jokes like everybody says.

      There is enough evidence right there. We've got at least 2 instances, and I heard the Bobby Lee joke that Mencia ripped off.

      Even Bobby Lee says a farewell to Joe Rogan once he realizes that Joe is out to settle scores with the "mighty" Mencia.

      If you start calling people out for stealing in hollywood, you open a huge-ass Pandora's Box.

      That's why very few people will go public with what everybody knows is common knowledge about Mencia. That also proves Joe Rogan has balls the size of a VW.

This really deserves our attention and effort to make things right between a comedian who has been wronged. Yes instead of writing to our congress men and giving every effort we have in righting the wrong in Iraq, we should instead harass a private venue.
