One of my favorite lines... - Skitzzo, on 02/20/2008, -0/+5You're not really screwing anyone, you're taking what is yours under the law. Tax avoidance is not the same thing as tax evasion.

- lucidguru, on 02/20/2008, -0/+4This is super useful... now only if I was able to understand any of those forms... hmm.
- aflusche, on 02/20/2008, -0/+2Very good point. "tax avoidance" - nice.
- sjbdallas, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2I knew most of those but I didn't know you could deduct health insurance premiums or mileage. Although, it has to be worth more than the standard which is some percentage of your income.
- 4chin8, on 02/22/2008, -0/+2I bring chocolates to my tax accountant...he makes sure that I get all the tax advantages that I'm entitled to.
- aritheman, on 02/21/2008, -0/+2At the end Uncle Sam has a BIGGER screw and you get screwed
- MMarquit, on 02/24/2008, -0/+1i don't think i'd mind paying taxes so much if they didn't always seem to go to things i don't consider priorities. pork barrel projects? subsidies for profitable companies? funding a war we never should have started in the first place?
- insllvn, on 02/21/2008, -0/+1This isn't so much screwing Uncle Sam as it is getting back a bit of the money he has screwed you out of over the course of the year, patting yourself on the back for your cunning, and going back to sleep while the majority of your money is spent in Iraq. Also, don't forget to spend that tax refund loyal consumer, I mean citizen.
