- TheFounder, on 10/08/2008, -5/+165This is *****....
- witwit, on 10/08/2008, -24/+169We need an armed militia to hunt those bitches down (as we are allowed by the constitution). Apparently the government cannot deal with the situation. Let the "market" solve the problem.
You messed with the existence of millions? You get your hands choped off, or a bullet in the head. That simple

***** - triclipse, on 10/08/2008, -10/+138Obama supported the Bailout, just like Bush and McCain.
- cyrusuncc, on 10/08/2008, -3/+126Damn it feels good to be a banksta!
- ButtonMonkey, on 10/08/2008, -0/+115They are getting an early start on the next bailout.
- Shiftgood, on 10/08/2008, -2/+97even if it was.
There was no contract for drink, manicures, salon visits, spa visits, leisure dining etc. etc.
They got away with robbing the US tax payer and know they are untouchable b/c nobody is going to do a damn thing about it. So why not party? - idc5, on 10/08/2008, -0/+87My stocks tank, these execs get paid.. Socialism for the rich. What the ***** happened to democracy? Almost every citizen opposed to the bailout
- maz2331, on 10/08/2008, -5/+80My only question is whether this was a basically pre-paid contract that they booked a while ago and was non-refundable?
Somehow I doubt it. - mountainweb, on 10/08/2008, -3/+72These people are CLEARLY the ones that should be tossed out the door without a parachute because of TOTAL stupidity. If this is an example of the quality of management that AIG has they need to clean house.
- BufordT, on 10/08/2008, -1/+66Our government loaned them $85 billion which as part of the deal gave us 80% control of the company. If our government now "owns" this company, then shouldn't we also blame our government for allowing this to happen?
- VinnieDaMac, on 10/08/2008, -3/+60also just like the majority of the Senate.
- deathsythe, on 10/08/2008, -1/+50Every congressman/woman who added these ridiculous earmarks should be brought out into a field and flogged, then shot.
Democrat or republican, it doesn't matter.
My retirement should not pay for their massages. - richmomz, on 10/08/2008, -0/+44This is pretty much how the French Revolution started. The government kept taxing the peasants so the elite could maintain their lavish lifestyle during the economic downturn, and it wasn't long before the masses got fed up and heads started rolling. Let's hope things don't turn violent, but I'm all for a good old fashioned tar & feathering (might help exfoliate the skin after that spa treatment - lol)
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -4/+42you are wrong, read it.
Thomas Jefferson himself stated that there should be an armed revolt once every "20 years", in order to keep the government in line and to remember that the PEOPLE rule this country. There is a right to armed revolution written in to the Constitution. - cyrusuncc, on 10/08/2008, -14/+51Ron Paul 2008!
- rinote, on 10/08/2008, -1/+37You know what this is? Fiddling while Rome burns. Telling the poor and hungry to eat cake.
***** you, CEOs. - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -2/+38Heads need to roll...
- jeexbit, on 10/08/2008, -1/+35How about this - you're the CEO of a company that goes bankrupt? You lose. No retirement package, no nothing. Your funds go to pay all employees who lost their jobs.
- spicoli77, on 10/08/2008, -0/+33digg this all the way. all tax payers need to see this bs.
- primaldefense, on 10/08/2008, -2/+34wtf is wrong with AIG, they should of known that this was stupid, with all the calls for a federal investigation, they should be focusing on keeping their noses clean for a while you would think.
- UnFriendlyFire, on 10/08/2008, -5/+37The bail-out money is mean to stimulate the economy. These exec's were helping America by going to this swanky spa. /sarcasm
- MWeather, on 10/08/2008, -1/+30Remember, remember the 4th of November!
- Meekus, on 10/08/2008, -0/+29The 2nd Amendment was NOT created for hunting deer.
- Murdevad, on 10/08/2008, -2/+27Thank you congress and senate. You guys are just awesome.
- eyepatch100, on 10/08/2008, -0/+25nah, I think it was more of an "I can't believe they bought it" party.
- lizardking7112, on 10/08/2008, -1/+24I always knew these bastards were arrogant but this take the 'exploding' cake!
- harrisbradley, on 10/08/2008, -0/+22Hey, let's not kid ourselves. The US Gov't is basically a large national firm. They do this kind of stuff all day long. Which is why I'm not shocked, when one of their 'business partners' does this kind of stuff. Disgusted... yes. Surprised... no. This is how it work guys. If you're surprised, you're not paying attention.
- cptshamrock, on 10/08/2008, -2/+23Government and business do not mix. keep them away from each other.
- ScrewedThePooch, on 10/08/2008, -0/+20Here's to hoping the CEO of this company gets punched in the face too.
(crosses fingers) - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+20So where's the list of people and their home addresses?
- Deeh, on 10/08/2008, -1/+20Getting mad is a start.
- cblokzyl1, on 10/08/2008, -1/+19These people are HEROS.
they are single handily saving the economy by blowing all the money they can.
The more money they waste the more money in the economy.
Thank these wonderful people for helping out the little man
On behalf of all of the digg users Thank You for your selfless act
/Sarcasm - Deeh, on 10/08/2008, -4/+21Obama voted in favor of the bailout
- EntropyFan, on 10/08/2008, -0/+17While I agree with the principal, our government doesn't own anything yet.
No checks have been signed, no money has exchanged hands.
They weren't spending bailout money, as it isn't there yet.
Now, once the government actually owns a controlling stake, yes, these folks should be shown the door. - inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+17I hope they got a happy ending for those massages for that price!
- revjustin2, on 10/08/2008, -1/+18Either way, it is an example of mis-management and how the ultra-rich are not in touch with reality.
- jaxter2010, on 06/17/2009, -1/+18I'd prefer to invest in AIG stock, because this shows how unconditionally the government will not let it fail.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -0/+17Clearly the bailout was an awesome plan.
- 3leggedHorse, on 10/08/2008, -1/+17What is needed is an organized one week strike. In the US UK and other countries, people are being taken for mugs.
- inactive, on 10/08/2008, -1/+17mike17032 - just because you fit the above criteria you mentioned, dont think just because we communicate through these boards (at work most likely) that we are all scared little bitches like you. I hope when the revolution does come that all the turncoats and loyalists try to stand up to the fed up masses, that way I can KILL them all.
- Shiftgood, on 10/08/2008, -17/+32P.S.
Vote Obama and have him tax the ***** out of these ***** and give the money back to the American people. - jehan60188, on 10/08/2008, -0/+15the problem is the shrinking middle class is out of touch with reality. we're so used to being abused by the wealthy, that we just let the oligarchy rule us.
- greenroom628, on 10/08/2008, -0/+15start checking if you have any insurance with aig. if so, change insurance companies.
- yumtummy, on 10/08/2008, -2/+17Lets all dress up like Guy Fawkes and kill them all!!
- Deeh, on 10/08/2008, -0/+14Yeah, all the cool politicians were doing it
- publiclurker, on 10/08/2008, -0/+14And the downside?
- HonestAbe, on 10/08/2008, -0/+14I agree with the sentiment and the *****
- rawnzilla, on 10/08/2008, -1/+15To the gallows with them! Let them be hanged and then dragged by their entrails throughout the city streets!
- MistrBrownstone, on 10/08/2008, -1/+15The United States in not a Democracy.
- MWeather, on 10/08/2008, -2/+15I'm all for drawing up some Letters of Marquee and Reprisal.
