1. Pay for the Internet connection, so it's always up.
2. Set goals for performance at the end of certain timeframes.
3. If they don't meet goals, they are fired and the connection is turned off.
Done. - byoung2, on 04/11/2009, -0/+2At home I easily have 10 productive hours, compared to 2-3 at work, because there aren't 15 other people talking about sports, movies, and TV all day, or asking me for help, or deciding where to get lunch.

- j0j0ate20, on 04/14/2009, -0/+0I was just hired by a virtual company, and I believe this is a great opportunity for me to advance in my Tech career. - r0t8, on 04/11/2009, -0/+0virtual companies are the future. why the f*ck does someone need to drive up to an hour to sit on a computer at an office. it is possible to have discussions over the phone and online. it is also more efficient to have conversations in emails and IMs so you can refer to them later.
someone doesn't perform? fire them and find someone else. don't want to pay $10,000 to a recruiter each time? have the manager give the requirements to the admin assistant or HR person and do the headhunting in-house.
