Exxon Mobile/Bar Stool Economics Comes to Mind
redstate.com — Exxon Mobil, in fact, is owned mostly by ordinary Americans. So, Mr. Obama, which union pension plans and which blue-collar workers who benefit from them will be among the first you would like to deprive of the income that flows from Exxon’s rich dividends?

- Ell3, on 03/07/2008, -2/+30Perhaps Mr. Obama should think about taking some of the profits generated by America's over-priced colleges and universities rather than corporate America. They are "gouging" their customers far worse than any corporation.
- badqat, on 03/07/2008, -1/+23Not to mention, one look at the endowments of these universities really makes the gouging seem even worse!
- bmcelrath, on 03/08/2008, -1/+13That won't happen, though. Liberals count on colleges and universities to indoctrinate students to become good little socialists.
- OBDriftwood, on 03/07/2008, -1/+27It is easy to engage in class warfare when your followers have no clue about economics. Is this why they don't teach economics in public schools? So that it is easier to mislead the voting public?
- whodat51773, on 03/08/2008, -1/+7Probably, but it is without a doubt why they teach so little about civil disobedience.
- whodat51773, on 03/07/2008, -1/+22I find it ironic that the NEA is vested in this profitable companywith which they have so much disdain....
- StingingNettle, on 03/08/2008, -2/+3"The pooh-bahs who run Exxon own less than 1 percent of the company.
When Exxon Mobil earns almost $12 billion in a quarter, or $41 billion in a year, as it did in 2007, that money does not go into the coffers of a few billionaire executives quaffing Champagne in Texas. "
Hey, I'll be a "pooh-bah" and take 1% of 41 billion any day. - BECoole, on 03/08/2008, -1/+6People forget that the Gov't makes more off a gallon of gas than the oil companies do.
Yet, you haven't read article one about the "obscene taxes" the feds are collecting.- Wolfpack46, on 03/09/2008, -1/+0Bingo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Wolfpack46, on 03/09/2008, -0/+3We are a free market society that depends on its ability to "move" to keep the open society alive. What we see with the oil mess is not so much gluts or availability or any of the other MSM terms but more of a lack of moral values or moral compass. But all revolves around one single question: Who benefits from low cost oil? Do you do what is right for the nation, your fellow man or your pocket? Canada produces 3.5 mill gallons a day for us/SA 2.4 mill and everyone else drops below the 1.5 mark. Meanwhile the oil and gas in the reserve up in northern AK still there in the arctic circle "where the Caribou do not roam/not that far north" and special interest/green tacos/hold the nation hostage to their idea of 10 million persons taking care of an American garden/give me a break.
But until the removal of that which constrains we need to be able to influence the middle east as much as possible, the key to the final days sits in the middle of a sea of degenerate perverts the sons of a wild ass that hates everyone and everyone hates him.
According to Barakee Obamee's own statement he is a member of a church that is more concern on been African that anything else, the sad part is that they don't have a clue on the subject. So by default Barakee meets the description of a third world country wanna be dictator.
Lord, I wanna go home!!!!!!!!!!!!! - libhypocrisy, on 03/09/2008, -0/+5Once again proving that Democrats hate Free Enterprise and are really Socialist.
