Comcast Will Charge You $2 To Stop Sending You Junk Mail
consumerist.com — We don't mean to influence the "Worst Company In America" voting, but check this out: if you call Comcast and ask them to stop sending you anything other than your bill, they'll agree but quietly slap you with a $1.99 "change of service" fee.

- cmccool, on 02/29/2008, -3/+227it's crap like this that makes me want to burn buildings down!
- feliks2, on 02/29/2008, -0/+62yes this, along with bandwidth throttling, reporting me to the MPAA and RIAA, their lies, downtime, and their terrible, filthy, lying commericals. No complaints with their cable TV though.
- Waiting2awake, on 02/29/2008, -1/+27Its almost like you are talking about Rogers here in Canada
- Myonosken, on 03/01/2008, -6/+2It may be a dick move to report you, but you can hardly say you are wholly innocent in the RIAA and MPAA aspect.
- feliks2, on 03/01/2008, -0/+7Yes, I know I may have been breaking copyright laws (which are terrible, but that's for another thread), but I don't think that Comcast was under any legal obligation to report me. Or where they? I don't actually know for sure. Anyone care to enlighten me?
- HesNikke, on 03/01/2008, -0/+10they are only legally obliged if the MAFIAA gets a court order. if they don't have a court order, and they report you to the MAFIAA is a pretty douchy move on comcasts part.
- HesNikke, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1i have a complaint about their TV. it's FAR too expensive for what it is.
- aliengoods, on 02/29/2008, -6/+25Why? Let those assholes keep sending me crap at their expense. I just throw it in the trash. In fact, let them triple the load.
- jggr, on 02/29/2008, -1/+29Waste of resources. That's why.
- VictoryGin, on 02/29/2008, -1/+23and they just pass the cost of all that stuff along to their customers
- aliengoods, on 02/29/2008, -1/+16Let me tell you something. Do you actually think if they stopped sending that they would drop their prices by a penny? HELL NO! The only thing that makes these monstrous corporations drop their prices is competition, and in quite a few areas, Comcast is the only game in town (especially if you can't get satellite internet).
As to the resources point, yes it wastes resources. But I'm not going to give Comcast a dime to stop it. - fafaforza, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2Well, that's the point. It shouldn't cost you anything to stop them from sending you trash.
- MtheoryX, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2@fafaforza: I don't really know who could think it intelligent or reasonable to digg you down; regardless, I dugg you up for actually being intelligent.

- SC4RP, on 03/02/2008, -0/+1When you get a letter from any company you do not like just take the postage paid envelope and stuff all their junk back in it, maybe add a few extra pages if you can. Then in bright ink write why you think the company is bad on the outside of the envelope. You may even tell them to stop sending you mail. When they have to pay $1 for an envelope full of garage and insults on the outside they will stop.
- wshs, on 03/10/2008, -0/+1Nah. They'll just stop sending business reply envelopes.
- VictoryGin, on 02/29/2008, -1/+23and they just pass the cost of all that stuff along to their customers
- bacon_skoda, on 02/29/2008, -3/+1I think the ads pay for the mailing. without them, comcast(meaning you) will pay for it instead.

Go now, and make the world a better place!- RealmDown, on 02/29/2008, -0/+36Better yet, forward their junk mail back to them.
- thechiman, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8i may just start doing this...
- VictoryGin, on 02/29/2008, -0/+10three words "Return to sender"
- Feanor, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7Better yet, 3 letters - RTS. The USPS knows what that is, so I just keep a pen in my car and mark all junk mail with it, throw it back in the box, put up my little flag, and it never enters my house.
- fafaforza, on 03/01/2008, -0/+0The two times I RTSed spam from Bank Of America, both letters came right back to me. Both clearly had "Return To Sender" on them, with a big ass arrow to the sender's address, just to help them out.
I now cover my address with electrical tape in addition to labeling it RTS. Who knows if it actually gets sent back to BoA, or if the post office throws them out because there's no destination.
- aimhelix, on 03/01/2008, -0/+4Haha that's exactly what I do to 3rd party junk mail - I usually set filters to auto forward to a listed email address.
- thechiman, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8i may just start doing this...
- Tebixan, on 02/29/2008, -0/+31If you get any faxed ads, get a black peice of paper, and fax 10,000 copies to them
- popfrogs, on 02/29/2008, -0/+35Nah, it's better to take 2 or 3 pieces of paper, tape them end to end in a physical loop, then just set it to fax all night.

Comcast will feel it in the end, once an entire block, neighborhood, town leave their service.- TeagueSterling, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4I just left Comcast for their high prices, lame service, and all around trickery. I've never had more personal joy from canceling a service, despite the fact that they insisted on billing me for my phone line even after the number had been transfered to another carrier "to ensure the transfer went correctly".
- YonicSouth, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2It's called a boycott bitches! MLK!
- HavenBastion, on 03/02/2008, -0/+1the ***** did an unauthorized payment request to my bank which cost me over 300$ in overdraft charges when it was all over with. of course they're not at fault, according to them.

- VictoryGin, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5i recently dropped all my extra channels on comcast and signed up for netflix... and never looked back
- haterofps3, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5I believe you are foolish, one subscription is a drop in the water. Burning a multi million dollar building to the ground is way more satisfying and pretty to watch.

- Spoomeister, on 02/29/2008, -0/+18That'll be a $3.99 monthly "building repurpose fee", a $99 one-time rezoning charge, a $4.99 monthly carbon offset credit charge...

- humperdeath, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8You can always 'refuse' this junk mail at your door, and have the post office to 'return to sender'. That might make you feel good, but you can also turn tides on them... Send THEM a bill with your own 'processing charge of, say $9.99 for every junk mail you have to open and read. Google 'Stop junk mail' to find these and other great ideas. Thanks, there is no charge from me!

- pintomp3, on 02/29/2008, -8/+1i am sir charge!
- latrosicarius, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7Talk about nickeling and diming. companies will soon realize they will lose more customers with bad customer care, than the ridiculously small amount gained by charging 2 dollars.
People may have stood for this in the past, but a new wind is coming. Customers will demand respect and proper care for the PRIVILEGE companies getting their business.
With a new generation about to come into the work force, any company that acts this way and makes it to the "100 worst companies" list will die a painful and humiliating death. Money hungry fat-cats.
"Service Fees" for ANY company is simply legal extortion. You agree to be raped by them by signing on the dotted line. A company that sells a service or product should make it a priority to support that service or product, and every administrative or logistic issue that goes with it.
If your customers aren't satisfied with your company, charging them to fix the problem is not going to increase their satisfaction level. Customers will leave. These companies are complete idiots. That's all I have to say.- Dannychico, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5Actually, they won't. Because - surprise! We live in America, the land of monopolies, and you're stuck with the cable company that OWNS your area. Face it. The Corporations drink our milkshake. They drink it up.
- AriaStar, on 02/29/2008, -0/+10When I moved, I ordered cable TV and internet and was told there's be a $24.99 installation charge for TV and they'd waive the $99-fee for internet installation as I could just be considered an existing TV customer at that point. Exactly one month and one day after I moved in, I got a bill that showed me more than $200 past due. Including a $99-installation fee for internet. After hours on the phone, being told ***** like, "Well, they shouldn't have said that and we HAVE TO charge SOMETHING, they finally took it off, said they'd send a revised statement for me to pay. While waiting, I got a notice yesterday saying I had to pay the full amount, including the $99, or my internet and TV would be turned off. And it was. YESTERDAY. More time on the phone. I have it back now, but *****, six weeks (as of tomorrow) in this place and have had to deal with Comcast ***** more than once.
- CoolWind, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3That's criminal.
- AriaStar, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3That's what I said to get them to remove the $99-charge the first time, that they can't legally not tell me about a fee, and then charge it later anyway, as it wasn't part of the initial contract and so would put them in the position of breaching the contract and so they'd be liable. It was at that that the manager I spoke with dropped the charge.
Too bad it wasn't the last of dealing with them.
When a utility company or service company messes up more than once, they should be legally required to reimburse you for your time spent dealing with their error. Since a lot of people won't want to spend an hour on the phone to get a $2-charge taken off, they're raking it in. If they had to PAY at least minimum wage in compensation, then they'd think twice.

- norman619, on 02/29/2008, -5/+7Stupid? Not so. From a business stand point it's genius. They are laughing all the way to the bank. The Stupid label belongs with the people who have an alternative but choose to stick with them and take the raping..
- EntangledPhysx, on 02/29/2008, -0/+16What alternate would you be speaking of? We tried getting satellite, but our apartment faces the wrong direction for picking up satellite signals. Plus, no one else offers high-speed internet to our area (Qwest and Verizon don't, only Comcast).
- InferiorWang, on 02/29/2008, -0/+10This is a legitimate problem in many areas. Cable companies/ISPs need to be de-monopolized.
- NullPolarity, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5I believe you are mistaken. The "stupid" label belongs with the suits who allow legal monopolies like Cumcast to exist.

FCC Fact Sheet on placement of antennas- anillop, on 02/29/2008, -0/+12You sir are awesome. I have been forced to use a 3rd party satellite provider by my condo association for years. This info is great.
- Nougat, on 02/29/2008, -2/+4I submitted it here, too, just a bit ago, after posting previously. Seems worthy.
http://digg.com/tech_news/FCC_Fact_Sheet_on_Placem ... - popfrogs, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Before you guys get too excited, notice this clause near the beginning:
"Effective January 22, 1999, the Commission amended the rule so that it also applies to rental property where the renter has an exclusive use area, such as a balcony or patio."
If you don't have a balcony or patio (exclusive use area), you could still be restricted.- Nougat, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3It's true, but if you have a patio with a tiny yard, for example, it is perfectly legal for you to stick a pole in the ground and put a dish on it. I believe the amendment was made because the act previously *did not* apply to rental properties *at all.*
Also, in the case of HOAs, I know there are some out there that try to tell you that you can't put a dish on the front of the house, and that you would not be able to put up a fixed wireless internet aerial at all. Both of those are *****; if you need those fixtures to rx/tx signal, you can put them up - regardless of how unsightly the HOA feels they may be, and without having to pay any fees to the HOA.

- lolinyerface, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Good info.
Just to note, for those of us in an apartment, if a satellite dish can be setup on the porch, the apartment complex can still restrict you from drilling to run a cable line inside. :(- TheSabre, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Flat cable through the door. Works like a charm!
- CalmLlama, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Most satellite installers are sub contractors, which means they get paid by the job. So a good installer will find a way, cause if they don't they won't get paid.
- anillop, on 02/29/2008, -0/+12You sir are awesome. I have been forced to use a 3rd party satellite provider by my condo association for years. This info is great.
- norman619, on 02/29/2008, -2/+3If you have a clear view of the required patch of sky you should be able to get it no problem.
- Thuktun, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8To be fair, folks, he might be on the wrong side of a mountain or something.
- akatherder, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4Me too. The satellite technician told me the neighbor's tree would be blocking all the reception if he stuck the satellite on the proper location on our roof. AT&T just started offering Uverse in my area so I can finally tell Comcast to ***** off.
- InferiorWang, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5AT&T is worse than Comcast.
- akatherder, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3I haven't had many problems with AT&T. My only beef is that when we moved into our new house, there were no phone lines installed and they raped us on pulling new wires. They haven't billed us for anything extra. Our DSL has gone out twice and they fixed it quickly once I called and went through their retard filter.
- InferiorWang, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5AT&T is worse than Comcast.
- EntangledPhysx, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4I can't get it because my apartment doesn't view the right part of the sky to get the satellite signal. And we can't mount our satellites to the roof, only our decks.
- joshuajonah, on 02/29/2008, -12/+6Do you live underground?
- yoyobean, on 02/29/2008, -3/+8total crap. today my friend got charged $75 by Delta because they screwed up his flight date (they booked March 28 instead of Feb 28). the Delta automaton never budged, made the mistake but still charged $75 to fix it. wtf??
- aliengoods, on 02/29/2008, -0/+21They tried to screw him, he caved. That's why they'll continue to do it. He should have refused to pay and gotten a lawyer when they wouldn't let him board the flight. As much as I hate people who sue the first chance they get, it seems to be the only thing these large corporations understand.
- imbetterthanu, on 02/29/2008, -0/+7Did he not notice the tickets were wrong until today? After booking a flight or a hotel stay, that's the first thing I look at on the receipt. Now if this had happened while he was making the reservations in person today, that's an entirely different story.
- norman619, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1If you push the issue you will usually win if it truly is their fault.

Did you honestly expect them to behave more consumer friendly?- antigravity, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1They are also blocking traffic. - stephie189, on 02/29/2008, -3/+4Typical. You should see how they drive too. They'll run you off the road. Late for their next nap I guess.
- Lemming882, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1I hate comcast as a company just as much as anyone else. But don't drag their techs into it. Most of them that I have worked with are great.
- Gemfinder, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2I remember when they first opened up in my town. They took every van in their fleet and marched around the city's circle streets, in a solid line. The northern street is more like an expressway with exit and onramps and cars stuck outside their ***** "Here we are, you lucky people!" parade couldn't get on or out. I called the cops on them for obstructing traffic.
Comcast Is Evil.

- bagelmaster, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Haha I wish I could afford to send companies / people junkmail....
- youreh, on 02/29/2008, -1/+12"The fee removal call has a $2 fee associated with it." (one of the comments -- DMDDallas)
- petethepanda, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2I live in Chicago and we got RCN instead of Comcast, and as much as I hate Comcast, I wish we would have gone with them instead...
- AndrewDB, on 02/29/2008, -7/+2I wonder how they're going to charge me when I don't even use them as an ISP or a Cable modem service provider.
- akatherder, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3That falls under their standard non-service penalty.
- jimrooney, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1service?
- leerayIG88, on 02/29/2008, -6/+3I don't know about you guys....I never use my comcast mail for anything. I use other free e-mail accounts; gmail, hotmail, and sometimes yahoo.
- pyrophire, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5Did you read the article?
They are talking about physical mail, not e-mail.... - woody168, on 02/29/2008, -1/+1yes, leeray, please read the article.........
- absintheofheart, on 03/01/2008, -1/+0duh...

- pyrophire, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5Did you read the article?
- eoecho, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1Yeah, they sent four trucks to my house one time to fix a cable - guess who's paying for that?
- TwoLOUD, on 02/29/2008, -7/+1Comcast is ***** lame, but there interrnet rocks..well until they block p2p traffic..ha!
- tdogg241, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4where internet?
- cmuwriter, on 02/29/2008, -1/+3Junk mail is hell. I used to save all those address labels people would send in the mail, and I would use them. After I discovered about 10,000 labels in my junk drawer, I gathered them up, threw them all away, and spend 13 dollars on a custom stamp I can use to put my return address on envelopes.
- captZEEbo, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2wha?
- cderry, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5How's this any different from Capital One's "No Hassle" card? They charge you a certain rate per year to not bug you.
- billski, on 03/01/2008, -0/+3any one else see the irony there?
- uziko, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2they suck, haven't had any problems with cox though, except for their ***** commercials i want to kill whoever made that cgi guy
- tumbler360, on 02/29/2008, -0/+8/Irony On
That's it I'm changing to At&t, they would never do this!
/Irony Off - masterwalls69, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1Thank God I dont have to use COMCAST...
- Aadain, on 02/29/2008, -0/+1God I'm glad my last day using Comcast is coming up. FiOS TV FTW!
- michaelz92, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1lol...soon you'll realize Verizon isnt much better than all the rest of the *****.
- jeffsback2223, on 02/29/2008, -1/+15I don't care if its $2 or 2¢. This is extortion and illegal.
- musicpyrite, on 02/29/2008, -7/+1ahahhaha give me a break. From Wikipedia: Extortion, outwresting, or exaction is a criminal offense, which occurs when a person either unlawfully obtains money, property or services from a person, entity, or institution through coercion or intimidation or threatens a person, entity, or institution with physical or reputational harm unless he is paid money or property.
You can always cancel your Comcast account...- dickybrown, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5"You can always cancel your Comcast account..."
won't that cost you $2?- bagelmaster, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Not to mention the alternative for most people is dial-up *shudders*
- musicpyrite, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Yes, because I have a constitutional right to high speed internet! ***** the Man!
- musicpyrite, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Perhaps you should have read your TOS?
- bagelmaster, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Not to mention the alternative for most people is dial-up *shudders*
- dickybrown, on 02/29/2008, -0/+5"You can always cancel your Comcast account..."
- latrosicarius, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4it's not illegal b/c it says that in the contract you sign. however, it's horribly bad practice to treat customers this way, and companies like Comcast will find themselves in a hole in a few years as more and more people get fed up with their BS. They are beginning to not be the only ISP in town any more, and people will leave them in droves.

- ucbluman, on 02/29/2008, -3/+6when i become president/supreme commander, i'm going to change all law into the master "don't be a dick" law, wherein I decide when people/entities are being total dicks, and exact swift retribution.
For instance, did you just drive on the shoulder to by-pass some traffic? grats, you're a dick.
Or, did you just entrench us in a war that has no purpose other than to fill the pockets of your constituency and needlessly kill off countless soldiers and civilians? grats, you're a dick.
Or, do you exploit cheap labor/the environment in order to make your product and turn a profit? grats, you're a dick.
See how well this works and how all-encompassing this is? Make me your leader, we'll get through this together.- sparcnut, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4Sounds like a dicktatorship to me.
- billski, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1haha...DICKtator
hehehe....... dick.........funny
seriously.

- sparcnut, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4Sounds like a dicktatorship to me.
- boodog, on 02/29/2008, -1/+12Most likely it's the reps on the phone adding these charges. Because ...
1. They get paid commission and Comcrap pays just that - CRAP (Verizon pays $25 an hr - Comcast $12 )
2. They hate Comcast as much as every1 else. I mean who the hell wants to sit for 8 hours listening to people bitch about Comcast.
3. It's just a Comcastic thing to do!- Durrok, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Wow, I hate to tell you but Verizon does /not/ pay $25/hr. They actually just gave their US call centers a $2/hr raise, putting them at $11/hr. However they are moving all their call centers out of the US so they can pay people $2/hr.
- boodog, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Umm Yes Verizon Landline (not Wireless) which is governed by a Union does indeed pay $25 and higher for customer service and they work M thru F 9 to 5!
Wireless which is not governed by the union gets jacked! - bxblox, on 03/01/2008, -1/+2Unions suck. Verizon doesnt pay $25 because they want to, theyre just getting screwed by the unions themselves.
- bagelmaster, on 03/01/2008, -2/+1Yeah, damn those unions for giving people fair wages and reasonable hours! Back to 14 hour days in meat packing plants I say!
- boodog, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Umm Yes Verizon Landline (not Wireless) which is governed by a Union does indeed pay $25 and higher for customer service and they work M thru F 9 to 5!
- gardnmi, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3If you make 25 an hour that is roughly 53,000 a year to be a call center rep. Where do I sign up.
- bagelmaster, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1$12 isn't really crap. It's not awesome but it could be a LOT worse...
- Durrok, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2Wow, I hate to tell you but Verizon does /not/ pay $25/hr. They actually just gave their US call centers a $2/hr raise, putting them at $11/hr. However they are moving all their call centers out of the US so they can pay people $2/hr.
- PerfectMac, on 02/29/2008, -1/+4Comcast is a bunch of butt pirate cocktards!
- gardnmi, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3I pay a channel guide fee every month for comcast cable and I don't even think you can have their service without the channel guide.
- removesstains, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4Man this sucks but when you think about it. Comcast is a genius, freaking awesome to think of a scam like this.
- isolino, on 02/29/2008, -4/+1Misleading title. The $1.99 is for a change of service fee, which could include a number of things.
- monkeybacon, on 02/29/2008, -1/+5You could always do the best thing and vote with your $$$ and not do any business with Comcast.
- cdcdark, on 02/29/2008, -0/+6Its hard since they pretty much have a monopoly in my area. If I want internet that isn't 56k I have to use Comcast :(
- cbs31572, on 02/29/2008, -0/+3Do what I do on every bill I get which sends me inserts (ads)...I just send it back to them along with my payment. I don't have to deal with throwing it away, plus it screws up their machines that separate the checks and payment stubs. :-)
- absintheofheart, on 03/01/2008, -0/+0genius!
- flip2trip, on 03/02/2008, -0/+0yes!!! IIIIIIIIIIIIII like it!!!
- 24imac, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2just box up the junk mail and send it back to them, or drop it off at the local office instead.
- WermerSkoch, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1Kramer?
- Kn1ghtmare, on 02/29/2008, -0/+2I managed to get a direct number to someone at the Houston Comcast office yesterday so I started war-dialing their block of numbers, found all kinds of interesting lines. A couple fax lines, the VP of Business Operations for the Houston market, the Senior Vice President and his executive assistant, the president and vice president of public affairs. Lots of good contacts to call next time I have a problem with my service.
- remotehuman, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1wanna share some numbers.. im a comcast user and i would like to share my opinions with someone thats above the phone monkey level.
- redtangential, on 02/29/2008, -2/+3no matter how much comcast sucks, verizon will always suck more
- musicmanryan, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2This is one of those comments I wish I could digg 1,000 times!
- amenic, on 02/29/2008, -1/+7Unreal what corporations can pull off in the US .. And they dare call it a 'free market'?
More like 'greed market'.- lacronicus, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2Problem is, this is the exact sort of thing that a free market produces. That's why I'm for government set limitations on what companies can do. Sometimes companies can't be held accountable to their customers, and since every entity in this world ought to be accountable to something, it might as well be to the government.
- theutopian, on 02/29/2008, -0/+4I'm not even a customer. I get one comcast mailer a week with the latest deal. I'm sick of it. The entry way to my apartment builiding is tiled with them from people just throwing them on the ground. Assholes. Comcast and the people who live in my builiding... I wonder how much money comcast would save if it stopped sending out those mass mailers?
- britblogger, on 02/29/2008, -1/+2maybe Ian can use that $2 refund to buy a ***** dictionary.
- harajukukei, on 02/29/2008, -3/+1mmm i've had comcast for like 10 years and they've never sent me a single email.
- absintheofheart, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2uhhh, we're not talking about email here...try to keep up.
- flip2trip, on 03/02/2008, -0/+0doh
- akatherder, on 02/29/2008, -0/+16I called Comcast for pricing one time and the rep wouldn't let me off the phone without ordering. I said no thanks, and he said he would call back to see if I changed my mind. 2 days later a Comcast tech shows up to install our cable. My wife let him in because she assumed I had ordered it and she couldn't reach me at work to verify. I came home and kicked the technician out and threatened to call the police. Eventually I find out that my 4 year old answered the phone and the rep used that as authorization to setup an install.
And these are the same ***** who made me jump through hoops when I called to add a cable box because my wife's name was on the account instead of mine.- Eldorian, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2So.... you ended up ordering their service after that ordeal? Why else would you have their cable box and an account?
- remotehuman, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1probably before hand... and then cancelled it. ive gone through several companies living in the suburb of a big city, you have more choices.
- akatherder, on 03/02/2008, -0/+1After we moved, our new neighbors had a tree in the line of sight for a satellite. So we had the option of Comcast or rabbit ears. Now I'm planning on getting AT&T Uverse even though AT&T is no better.
- Eldorian, on 03/01/2008, -0/+2So.... you ended up ordering their service after that ordeal? Why else would you have their cable box and an account?
- mavrick24, on 02/29/2008, -3/+1***** CUMCAST!!!
- siwasher, on 02/29/2008, -0/+18I think the term for "pay me and I won't bother you" is "Protection Racket".
- NSResponder, on 03/01/2008, -0/+1No, a protection racket is "pay me and I won't *hurt* you."
-jcr
