  • ronpaulblogscom, on 02/22/2008, -0/+2#9 Who is your favorite author? is a great idea. I might suggest toning it down a bit to: What book/author have you read recently? This will prevent the person you are talking to being forced to pick a favorite and have you judge that. Much easier to just say one recently. Maybe then discuss if they are their favorite or who they like more in that genre.
