- yillip, on 03/04/2009, -0/+108I think all President Obama had to do to win a trash talking competition with this guy is say, "Umm, dude, you are wearing ME on your shirt...I win....go Bulls."
- chrissku, on 03/04/2009, -1/+60I hope the next guy who talks ***** to me has a picture of me on his tee shirt.
- magamiako, on 03/04/2009, -4/+32I think people idolize too much, and especially so much with Obama. The previous President we had was so out of touch with "normal" modern Americans. With just about everything...from technology, to getting out around town, to anything at all. I mean all you have to do is read the myriad of articles about how "informal" Obama is in the White House to get an idea of the scale of personality difference between Obama and Bush.
Not that there's anything wrong with a "cool" President. It shows he's human, and on top of that it might help him make better decisions in office for the people. He connects much better with a younger generation than Bush ever did. And I think it might work out pretty well. - BA88, on 03/04/2009, -2/+28obama could win any debate ever about basketball by playing this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdCzixCxZEQ - koanage, on 03/04/2009, -3/+25obama playfully trash talks china... world war begins.
- evan3168, on 03/04/2009, -1/+23Hey now, let's give Bush some credit too. He knows a little something about talkin trash, last time he went to a Nationals game, almost everyone in the stadium let him know how they felt
- rileyhallwood, on 03/04/2009, -3/+21i never thought i'd see a president i'd actually enjoy being around. times have changed.
- r1y23, on 03/04/2009, -1/+18Actually in times of economic downturn entertainment usually gets more business from a greater amount of people.
And he is stimulating the economy by going to the game. - asgardshill, on 03/04/2009, -1/+17Dugg for an elected official who unlike his predecessor isn't a total douche and isn't completely tone-deaf in dealing with constituents.
- scottk59, on 03/04/2009, -4/+19That you can't decide which spelling of the word "favorite" to use?
- RaidVan, on 03/04/2009, -1/+16I got to hand it to President Obama, that guy knows how to get himself in the press... and in a positive light too. Either he's a PR genius, or he has one hell of a team behind him. Whatever the case, I may disagree with some of his policies... but he's one cool *****.
- Kireblade, on 03/04/2009, -1/+15A high five? That must've been his white half.
- PiRATE7, on 03/04/2009, -1/+14This is the kind of president I've always wanted, and I'm glad I finally have him.
- RansomHoldiay, on 03/04/2009, -0/+12obama: yao ming ain't got ***** on the bulls!
china: TO WAR! - spookyttws, on 03/04/2009, -1/+13I love that our President is a Baller. It feels weird, but having an intelligent, cool President who can speak well and is trying to be bipartisan is such a radically different experience from what we had just 2 months back, it makes me want to cry. After eight years of hate it's just so different...that and Obama can actually pronounce the word 'Nuclear' correctly.
- Larsonal777, on 03/04/2009, -0/+11hey as long as he keeps it to the min he needs. Every man needs to have some relaxation time to reboot... and keep all 8 cylinders going. The problem would only come if he was doing it on a weekly basis or something.
- IamNomad, on 03/04/2009, -0/+9see boxing and baseball during the depression era for example.
- Maxamegalon2000, on 03/04/2009, -2/+10I assume you mean pizza toppings. Apparently we don't know yet.

"This same site as well as others claim that based on an interview on January 18 of this year Obama’s favorite restaurant is Italian Fiesta Pizzeria in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL. The website tried, but failed to identify Obama’s favorite toppings. This restaurant is known for its thin crust pizza and spreading toppings to the edge of the pie. His view on where he likes to eat appears to be one position Obama has not changed since he clinched the Democratic nomination." - blackinthmiddle, on 03/04/2009, -0/+7"And of course it doesn't hurt that the press seems to only publish puff stories about Obama"
TheInformer, Obama basically ran for President for two whole years with both his Democratic and Republican rivals having PLENTY of time to dig up dirt on him. They tried everything. He has a half brother in Kenya living in squalor. He doesn't salute the flag. Trust me, if there was any "baby mama drama" out there, it would have been uncovered by now!
I've heard many use the "well the media just loves him" argument. Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, the guy really is a good guy and there isn't any drama on him to report? - coyote1284, on 03/04/2009, -1/+8Did President Obama perform a Terrorist Two Man Prayer at a basketball game? More fair and balanced news after the break.
- Crashwithuhk, on 03/04/2009, -5/+12We was needing to learn how to say WE WERE.
- dustinmacdonald, on 03/04/2009, -1/+8careful, gitmo hasn't been closed yet.
- fluoro, on 03/04/2009, -1/+8Yeah, but Bush made it pretty clear he hates us serfs so you hardly ever saw him out. He spent most of his time down in Crawford clearing brush, or some stupid *****. :)
- BlackJackJester, on 03/04/2009, -1/+8a male one - I agree.
- dacrazydude, on 03/04/2009, -0/+6Must be hell on the Secret Service.
- demonicume, on 03/04/2009, -0/+5hey, i love it when visitors leave the US with a good impression. I was overseas as a soldier and I had a great time everywhere but France. The UK was great. But everytime I started talking about it to my pals overseas, all they do is bitch about the US.
Thanks, Phalanxia - bakaferret, on 03/04/2009, -0/+5"I'm 26 and think Bush connected with me better than Obama can ever hope to do."
How so? Just curious. I too think that the whole "Bush was the worst president ever and ruined the WORLD!!111!!1" thing is a little blown out of proportion. However you can't deny the mistakes he made. Also, Obama has shown this sort of image of himself long before he was a politician. I doubt he's doing it for good PR. And lastly...if politicians only do these things in order to convey the "common man" image, why didn't Bush do so while his ratings were so low? - dizmoz, on 03/04/2009, -0/+5does he have 2.5 fingers or something?
- InitialDMP5, on 03/04/2009, -0/+5If he went down low and behind the back, this story would have ended with the little white boy sitting next to President Obama in the hospital.
- greenroom628, on 03/04/2009, -1/+6well, a lot of people voted for bush because everyone thought he'd be great to have a beer with -- until everyone found out that he was a recovering alcoholic.
boy, that was awkward... - inactive, on 03/04/2009, -1/+6*Squee!*
I went on a trip to D.C. a few weeks ago with my College (I live in the UK), and I saw a game with the Wizards whilst I was there. I'd never seen a basketball game before, and I loved it. I even got a Wizards hoodie whilst I was there. - mgraham80, on 03/04/2009, -1/+5Uh, have you already forgotten how soundly the media denounced Obama for his low, low bowling score? Get a clue, my friend.
- mgraham80, on 03/04/2009, -0/+4Tibet is all up in your grill, China, what choo gonna do?!?
- RansomHoldiay, on 03/04/2009, -0/+4he is.
- macaca, on 03/04/2009, -1/+5Men, that brought me back lots of memories.
- inactive, on 03/04/2009, -0/+4I like the USA. I like Americans, I find that the vast majority of them are polite and very friendly. What I, and most other Europeans dislike is America's foreign policy (Pre Obama). People do confuse the two though, which I think is a shame.
- blackinthmiddle, on 03/04/2009, -0/+4Ah revisionist history. Gotta love it. No, I believe Dubya said "nucular" as well. In fact, I'm sure of it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hORaebYWDwk - alexdemers, on 03/04/2009, -0/+4Palin, lol.
- nutzngum, on 03/04/2009, -0/+3what's not to like about this man, really? he likes sports, he's not above sitting with the regular folks (i'm sure there were a bunch of secret service planted all around him, but that's beside the point), he can talk trash AND has a sense of humour. It's kinda cool to see a human being hold the office of President.
/done gushing. - KenSPT, on 03/04/2009, -1/+4I'm not an Obama fan, but it's hard to dislike any President who'll talk trash with fans during an NBA game.
- snagglefoof, on 03/04/2009, -0/+3It's just ebonics, man, roll with it.
- temporarysanity, on 03/04/2009, -1/+4"I'm 26 and think Bush connected with me better than Obama can ever hope to do."
That's pretty sad. - inactive, on 03/04/2009, -0/+2Nope. Not till he's outta office.
- maverick1989, on 03/04/2009, -1/+3How come everyone else in the second picture is in the exact same position as the first??
- Jiuzton, on 03/04/2009, -3/+5What is the President doing there? don't he has more important stuff to do or think about our country?
- Nlewis4, on 03/04/2009, -0/+2I know this is old but it is still pretty awesome
- BlackJackJester, on 03/04/2009, -2/+4at least now we know he isn't a robot.
- jbmcb, on 03/04/2009, -0/+2He's also making quite a few speeches. I understand the importance of communication, but how about giving up one speech and picking a secretary of commerce, who is going to be overseeing a big chunk of that stimulus money?
Seriously, if you're over a month into your term and your cabinet isn't complete yet, you shouldn't be going to ball games. - shrewd1983, on 03/04/2009, -0/+2Why is this even news? Obama is human last time I checked
- joe122370, on 03/04/2009, -1/+3I like when O said "how you like your 401k now biotch?"
