David Stern has been in charge the entire time corruption has taken hold and grown in the NBA. Forget about the occasional bad calls.. some just don't even make sense. Last years finals were a joke. When the one-sided ref'ing stopped Boston completely shatterred L.A. It wasn't even close and they shouldn't have been there (but hey, if you're trying to sell the ol' LA-Boston rivalry, you have to make it happen first).
