Derrick Rose vs. Michael Beasley Round 1
sports.espn.go.com — It was the ninth-highest scoring performance in Orlando summer league history, and true to his form, Beasley wasn't the least bit impressed. "Could have played better," Beasley said. "Could have got a couple more assists, made a couple extra passes, got a couple more rebounds, could have got a couple stops early on."

- Odenized, on 07/08/2008, -0/+12Beasley had the better of Rose in their first professional matchup, but you can't take much stock in this game. Both should be excellent players.
- sogeshirts, on 07/08/2008, -3/+7Beasley is going to score lots of points but i still think Rose will be the better player.
- JasonPeck, on 07/08/2008, -1/+12They're both going to be stars in the league for a while.
- AmyVernon, on 07/08/2008, -0/+6i have a soft spot for the Bulls, after living in Chicago during MJ's ascendancy...
- Mystalic, on 07/08/2008, -3/+7Chicago Bulls all the way!
- louiebaur, on 07/08/2008, -3/+7Go Bulls!
- ChuyMX, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7wade mentioned he wanted a point guard to take some shots and create scoring opportunities since all the other heat players just sit back and take it easy while he creates all the opportunities, although beasley is still a damn good pick
- sportscrzy33, on 07/08/2008, -0/+5Beasley was a monster in this game! He got stuffed a couple of times, but you can tell this kid is going to be a star in this league!
- Chebsi, on 07/08/2008, -3/+8"Michael Beasley stood in the doorway to the gym an hour before gametime, iPod in his left hand, head bobbing slightly as he chatted with new Miami Heat teammate Mario Chalmers.
He was the picture of cool."
lolwut - londonmoon85, on 07/08/2008, -1/+3Bulls are coming back, i think!
- Pusod, on 07/08/2008, -1/+9By the looks of that scrimmage it looks like the Bulls got it wrong! Rose is a great guard, but Beasley should have been their #1. That guy can bring it! He will dominate for the Miami Heat!
- kirk89, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2agreed, Beasley is going to be a dominate force in the league his first year in. Rose just isn't on Beasley's level.
- coinjerryking, on 07/08/2008, -1/+2Can someone tell me why the bulls picked Rose instead of Beasley? I thought the bulls had a bunch of good guards but they really had no inside game.
- batista86, on 07/08/2008, -0/+6Wade + Beasley = Championship
- lukehz, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0+ Marion = Secured Championship
- Cloud7659, on 07/08/2008, -0/+7I think you can blame Pat Riley for spreading all those rumors about Beasley's attitude, height and overall ineffectiveness. I swear if there's a Devil walking on the earth, Pat Riley is giving him pointers. The guy is as sneaky and manipulative as they come. Oh well, I'm glad he's on our side!
- ShayDetta, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1In we Riley we trust!
- warchant, on 07/08/2008, -0/+4Rose is a point guard...of course Rose isn't going to score as many points and get as many rebounds as Beasley. *sigh* gotta love ESPN.
- farTart, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3Arghhhh! Triffids! Or am I only one who thinks that when they hear the name Michael Beasley?
- bcos, on 07/08/2008, -1/+5Rose is a choke king now, he was a choke king then.
