- mickeyknoxxx, on 12/02/2008, -4/+9It's Boston.
The city is better then the rest of the US at sports. Period.
I hate it because I'm from Cali. But it's true. Boston fans care a lot about their sports and it makes players want to play well for them. It's the greatest sports city in America. So I'm not surprised. - redfred18t, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4For what it is worth, Celtics have played 4 more games than the Lakers. But seriously who cares, it's too early in the season.
- badenglishihave, on 12/02/2008, -3/+7I never thought I'd say this but the Celtics are playing better than the Red Sox and Patriots. Maybe not better than the Bruins, though. Maybe.
- ftgarcia, on 12/02/2008, -0/+4I love it when they play KG screaming that. So much intensity on the court!
- redfred18t, on 12/02/2008, -0/+3For what its worth, New York has two sports team in each category. Kind of unfair to compare it to a town that has only one team per category
- Linkin4, on 12/02/2008, -1/+4Well when you have three great players that each play very different roles, and one of the best benches in the game, you probably should beat up on a rather spread thin NBA. Ray Allen is having a great year to boot.
- redfred18t, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2I agree with jonssonar. Boston only emerged this decade as a sports town. BTW I'm a boston fan :)
- jeweck6, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3Ray Allen= Jesus Shuttlesworth
- jonssonar, on 12/02/2008, -1/+3whoa... talk about pandering to a crowd. You must have a very short term memory. A few years ago, the Celtics were awful, the Red Sox had the curse, and the Patriots don't have a sterling reputation and whose history isn't as stellar as their recent success (until this year).
Boston fans are often loud and obnoxious, nothing wrong with that, but damn you're a little overboard their with your assesment. Go ahead and bury me, but Boston hasn't always been king... They're on a great run recently and kudos to them, but lets not crown them quite yet. - DRGinLBC, on 12/02/2008, -2/+4I love how everyone hates on the Lakers. Jealousy is a funny thing.
- pixelate, on 12/02/2008, -0/+2If he wants to crown us, then let him go ahead and crown our asses.
We are who he thought we were! - jmewhite1, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1I was just about to say that, suck it new york
- ftgarcia, on 12/02/2008, -2/+3Also R.I.P. Helen Heinsohn .. the Redhead from Needham! Our thoughts are with you Tommy.
- Mattwdj, on 12/02/2008, -0/+1one of the best movies ever.

- StealthSnake832, on 12/02/2008, -1/+2The funny thing is that he was to supposed to say "Impossible is nothing", Addidas slogan.
- datdamonfoo, on 12/02/2008, -6/+6...And?
- erndoglai, on 12/02/2008, -2/+2u know somethings up when this hits front page.... -___-
- atmmac, on 12/02/2008, -2/+2Celts and Bruins gotta pick up the slack for the pats! lets keep title town rollin
- jmewhite1, on 12/02/2008, -0/+0i havnt counted um out yet, see what happened when we expected them to win
- jmewhite1, on 12/02/2008, -2/+2BOSTON IS THE BEST SPORTS TOWN IN THE COUNTRY
prove me wrong - MykeXero, on 12/02/2008, -11/+10And uh... who cares? Lakers have the better record anyway.
- harvinator24, on 12/02/2008, -2/+1How many championships all the teams combined have?
Diffidently not more then new york.
7 world series
17 basketball champions ships
3 super bowls
5 Stanley cups.
32 total
New York
26 world series
4 super bowls (giants 3 jets 1)
2 basketball championships
4 Stanley cups.
36 total
so put a check mark next to new york. - gregfd, on 12/02/2008, -2/+0I cannot possibly organize my thoughts in the sea of hatred I have for the fair-weather, pompous, and overly smug Boston sports fans. Let's not forget how notorious the city is for its championship droughts;
Celtics: 22 years
Red Sox: 86 years
Patriots: 34 years
Bruins: (Dont count, no one cares about Hockey).
You guys can gloat all you want about your luck over the last seven years, but watching and listening to your ***** over a meaningless and unimpressive 9-game streak is like watching a guy overdose on Cialis. - scoottie, on 12/02/2008, -7/+5Lakers are still better
- DiggityCarl, on 12/02/2008, -4/+2..... at sucking.
- n88n, on 12/02/2008, -4/+1Call me when they match the season record for my Bulls. :)
- nugge7, on 12/02/2008, -14/+5***** the Celtics! Go Lakers!!!
