- murraj2, on 06/01/2008, -4/+27Just Manny being Manny.
- offthewagon, on 06/01/2008, -4/+19Hating Manny is like hating the Easter Bunny.
- denshvalaunt, on 06/01/2008, -1/+12It was amazing to see that the stadium was rockin' after he hit it out. I know Red Sox Nation travels well, but this was in Baltimore, and I have to believe a lot of the Orioles fans were genuinely happy for Manny. I'm glad he got such a nice ovation.
- LucasG2, on 06/01/2008, -1/+12I am one of the biggest Red Sox haters in the world, but I can't help but smile at Manny Ramirez and his "antics". Because he is just a guy who is out there having fun.Why can't you appreciate him for what he is?
- Mark2600, on 06/01/2008, -1/+8Baltimore has always been dominated by Sox fans, what the hell are you talking about?
- Carl306, on 06/01/2008, -1/+8Or protein, muscle milk, and power bars
- inactive, on 06/01/2008, -1/+8Must be so terrible, getting to play in the major leagues and be forever associated with something in history.
- zioxide, on 06/01/2008, -2/+9but did you see a-rod win a ring?
- juicyfrys, on 06/01/2008, -0/+6They don't call it Fenway South for nothing.
- papercut01, on 06/01/2008, -2/+7i'm not a red sox fan, but kudos to manny nonetheless
- PullingTeeth, on 06/01/2008, -0/+5To be fair, baseball uniforms rarely look like they fit the player.
- masterofgrond, on 06/01/2008, -2/+7Alex Rodriguez could do it.
- nymphetamine, on 06/01/2008, -1/+6Why do the Yankees suck, even with such a high payroll?
- sgtbutterscotch, on 06/01/2008, -0/+4What was the original question?
- elemenohpe, on 06/01/2008, -1/+4ZING!
- IpecacNeat, on 06/01/2008, -3/+6What!? For real? Who do you consider a great guy then? Manny is nothing but cheerful and himself. Great to fans, kids and teammates. Sure, he has had some bonehead problems, but he is a great person.
- JoeHague, on 06/01/2008, -2/+5Murraj2 your comment is the farthest thing in the universe from being a FAIL. In fact it is probably one of the most appropriate first comments of all time.
- IpecacNeat, on 06/01/2008, -0/+3Manny has been hitting home runs since he entered the league. He has never had huge spikes in power numbers. He has been the same hitter he always has been. Manny doesn't juice. He is one of the hardest workers off the field.
- Jespoir, on 06/01/2008, -0/+3Camden yards' busiest, loudest games are when the Red Sox are in town. It's a great Fenway alternative!
- Butros, on 06/01/2008, -1/+4You mean Pay Rod? Maybe he'll quit the Yankees again this year too while some other teams are playing in the world series to get him and Boras another chunk of change those dip ***** steinbrenners...
- mizatt, on 06/01/2008, -1/+4It's the exact same thing you retard
- PullingTeeth, on 06/01/2008, -4/+7I'd like to see him pass Barry Bonds. I'd like to see anyone erase his record.
- cadmiumpaint, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2I"d like to see ANYBODY surpass Bonds. The only thing he deserves is how his career ended....as a free agent with no offers.
- BrownBears, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2what, he got fat? so, steroids?
- garyc83, on 06/01/2008, -1/+3Congratulations for being a total douchebag yourself. He's a genuine person that actually apreciates his fans and has respect for the sport.
Plus he's quite possibly the greatest right handed hitter of our generation (at least in the top 3).
Dick. - inactive, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2If he stays healthy. Griffey was on the same pace until he turned 31... granted A-Rod is 32 now and still going strong... but one lingering injury and A-Rod could be winding down his career chasing for 600 like Griffey.
- BrownBears, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2Arod will do it, barring a very early end to his career. Manny might make 600 before he's out.
- DephexTwin, on 06/01/2008, -0/+2Explain.
- cadmiumpaint, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1Manny is staying in Boston. No chance in hell he goes anywhere else.
- cadmiumpaint, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1If Jr. played for a major media market team that was competitive people would care.
- solorender, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1which don't make you a better baseball player with an eye for the ball.
- Pillage, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1cheaper too
- cadmiumpaint, on 06/01/2008, -1/+2you can't put that many egos on one team and expect to actually have a team. you have a bunch of guys just playing for themselves and that never equals a winning season.
- Yuska, on 06/03/2008, -0/+1I'm a Cubs fan.
Sometimes though, I'm embarrassed to admit it, because of the stigma of stupidity that goes with it. This is just another example.
Thanks, *****, for perpetuating the stereotype.
/endrant - RustySparks, on 06/04/2008, -0/+1buried. yankee fan
- Yuska, on 06/04/2008, -0/+1And I was at that Cubs 9-run comeback win. It was my first game at Wrigley. ***** place went nuts.
- yacks, on 06/01/2008, -2/+3I hate that wretched Easter Bunny
- Pillage, on 06/01/2008, -0/+1he killed my father!
- Caviarmy, on 06/01/2008, -0/+0Manny Escuela, takin' it to the streets--dawg!
- deanosaur, on 06/01/2008, -5/+5GO CUBS GO!
GO CUBS GO!
HEY CHICAGO WHATDOYOUSAY?
THE CUBS ARE GONNA WIN TODAY! - ImmersiveEdCJS, on 06/03/2008, -0/+0Manny is a Beast
- cadmiumpaint, on 06/01/2008, -1/+1so hows life in the year 2000? Lot of stuff has happened since then. The Yankees doing anything is not one of them.
- LG27, on 10/05/2008, -0/+0i am glad he left the red sox. he wasnt worth is salt there. he was either really good or really bad. we need more consistant players.
http://www.monexfraud.com - LG27, on 09/27/2008, -0/+0I'd be a douchebag if I could have his paycheck.
http://www.bodytune.com - EclipseGSX, on 06/01/2008, -3/+2About ***** time. Does anyone else hate the fact that ESPN insists upon cutting away from whatever game is in progress to watch individual at-bats? Is it that important for your viewers to witness things like this at the moment they happen, rather than 15 seconds later on instant replay?
- JoeHague, on 06/02/2008, -1/+0Yea all he did was make the very first comment to this story - the very first thing that everyone thought when they saw the title.
As for his cultural reference not making sense. Well he's got 23 DIggs- You got -10 so it looks like your the Fail. - DJPurity, on 06/01/2008, -3/+1I was at the game, being a respectful Baltimore Orioles fan. Poor underhanded throwing Chad Bradford gave him the perfect ball to hit, and Manny crushed the ball. You could see the fans fighting over the home run ball. They're lucky that Manny hit that home run ball because he missed two fly ball catch opportunities during the game. Oh, and if you want proof I was there, I sat in Section 44, Row MM, Seat 3 and am willing to provide physical ticket proof. =]
