- FakeHipster, on 04/30/2009, -0/+21Even after they lower the tickets, Yankees stadium premium seats will still be far more expensive than any other ball park.
Charge 1.5bil to the taxpayer and then charge them out the ass to see the games? No wonder no one is coming. - Blinker1315, on 04/30/2009, -0/+14Sure, some MLB franchises are making small concessions to loyal fans, but although I go to about 15 games a year (but maybe less this season), it still costs a small fortune for a family of four. I understand that most entertainment isn't cheap, but $8 for a Coke? Not to be an old cuss, but when I was in college and worked as a vendor at Baltimore's Memorial Stadium, a bottle of National Boh was 60 cents, and a Coke was 35 cents. I think current prices, like college tuition, have far outpaced inflation.
- ajs508, on 04/30/2009, -0/+13no matter the price..I without a doubt will be in the seats 10 times this year. At least baseball is making some kind of effort to help us fans out.
- qwsxz, on 04/30/2009, -0/+6This year the Cubs have a waiting list topping 70,000...they raised ticket prices for season ticket holders...they raised prices for food bought in the park (you can still, thankfully, bring your own food into the park),...they installed crappy flat panels in the stadium but only show stretch-o-vision SD...no other modification to make the fans happy...who is to blame? People like me who continue year after year to buy season tickets and watch a crappy team lose again and again. What a business model.
- Tomsomniac, on 04/30/2009, -0/+5Bout time they gave back to long-suffering Royal fans. I sure wouldn't want Mets season tickets right now.
- BloodWenis, on 05/01/2009, -0/+2Especially considering that $8 costs them 17c (commerative cup and all)
- DLit, on 05/01/2009, -0/+2If I was a pitcher and saw this, I would hit the guy. Ooops my curve didnt break...
- topherker, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1***** you
-Royals fan - arlok789, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1Ticket prices have been crazy but there have been some messed up plays this year too. A couple people have gotten wacked with fastballs.

- trer, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1Too late Luthor! Too late.
- cloudcity, on 05/01/2009, -0/+1Dugg for talking about my KC Royals!
Totally revamped stadium, up and coming young team, and the biggest HD screen in the world (at the time anyway...). - ModX, on 05/01/2009, -2/+3This does not apply to big market teams like the Red Sox (they advertised to keep the sell out streak going), Yankees, Mets, and Cubs. It's good to see the die hards of the truly ***** teams (the Royals) getting rewarded for undying loyalty.
- NightflyLester, on 05/01/2009, -0/+0Someone should email this to the Detroit Tigers front office... the most season-ticket-holder unfriendly operation in the majors. Just a freakin' trainwreck, kinda like the team (and the city for that matter)
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -5/+2it is ***** that idiots like you still claim that the taxpayer picked up the tab for Yankee Stadium...all of it. They paid about 1/3 of it acutally. Actually, they paid NOTHING for the stadium itself. Taxpayer money went solely for infrastrcuture to support the new stadium. Water lines, new train stations, parking, etc. It is the same thing that any big business gets from taxpayers.
Yet idiots still claim that it was built solely on taxpayer money, and more idiots still digg up such a ridiculously inaccurate statement.

What is Digg?
