- alex7575, on 08/03/2008, -8/+196Let's see how many accidents it'll take for them to redo all that...
- theguesser10, on 08/02/2008, -30/+116Awesome.
- noseeme, on 08/03/2008, -1/+71That's not what stereoscopic means. Something that is stereoscopic has two images that are slightly different in certain areas, so if you cross your eyes, the picture you see in the center is in 3D.
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -2/+60Awesome, yes. But that is definitely not what stereoscopic means.

- Pinkertinkle, on 08/03/2008, -1/+30That would probably make me crash my car into a wall.
- Memnochxx, on 08/03/2008, -0/+25Learn what stereoscopic means.

two images are needed to produce stereoscopic imagery. - FamousNerd, on 08/03/2008, -9/+29Knock knock. Who's there? Yesterday's REDDIT.
Gotta give this amazing artist some credit.

- Alex2, on 08/03/2008, -0/+17Get an overhead projector.. print out overhead transparencies with lettering in nice fonts. Aim projector at wall. Trace the outlines with chalk or pencils. Use some masking tape and paint that thing up....
...
PROFIT! - sammysnake, on 08/03/2008, -0/+16Because this is taking 3D information to produce a 2D image.
Stereoscopic would be the opposite.. a 3D image is created from something that is actually 2D. Like watching a movie with the red/blue glasses. - cgomez, on 08/03/2008, -2/+17Wow, I hate blog-spam. This was ripped from the creators site (http://de-war.de/eurekacarpark.html) without any attribution.
Go to the source. - Reziarfg, on 08/03/2008, -0/+13@alex
No, we understand what you're saying.
It's still not stereoscopic though. - unfinite, on 08/03/2008, -0/+12@alex
Isn't this actually a 3D image (painted on multiple plains, legnth, width and depth) that is creating the illusion of a 2D image (just legnth and width)? The oposite of what you said.
Also, stereoscopic images are created by presenting a slightly different image to each eye, whereas this would work even if you only had one eye. ;) - jeessy, on 08/02/2008, -12/+23Mirror : http://rapidpik.com/show/3379/ae7gb
- bravo1995, on 08/03/2008, -0/+11Looks like some guy with a fro saying "radicool."
Or it's a stalk of broccoli. I'm not sure. - CptBuck, on 08/03/2008, -0/+10We're not being anal, in what way is the ground+the wall+various objects in a garage a "2D image?" I'd be more persuaded by the opposite argument, that they took a 3D objects in a garage created words that appear to be 2D.

Stereoscopic images are images presented such that two different images are seen by each eye.
How in the hell is this stereoscopic? - Meg2020, on 08/03/2008, -3/+12Because someone said "I have a crazy idea" They had too much time.

Your buries will only make me stronger, embrace the hars cold truth! - inactive, on 08/11/2008, -1/+7I don't know how cool this would actually look in reality. On a 2D plane, like seen in the pictures, it looks neat, but how well would the illusion hold up with depth perception?
- inactive, on 08/03/2008, -2/+7Is that what passes for wit these days?
- Rach1251, on 08/03/2008, -0/+5Oh wow, these are just as cool as the parking garage. Thanks!
- LoudMusic, on 08/03/2008, -0/+5So close! It actually includes ALL methods of combing two 2D images to trick the brain into processing a 3D image. Crossing your eyes is just one method. There are also special viewing devices like the ViewMaster.
http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/02/viewmaste ...
And many more, higher tech, methods.

stereoscopic - noting or pertaining to three-dimensional vision or any of various processes and devices for giving the illusion of depth from two-dimensional images or reproductions, as of a photograph or motion picture. - antler, on 08/03/2008, -1/+6Nothing stereoscopic here, just projection onto non-planar surfaces.
It is deceptively simple to create such things, just use a projector (overhead or digital) to shine your words/shapes on the world and trace the outline of where they fall. Then paint inside the lines.
(Or just keep projecting the entire time you paint, but if someone moves the projector, you're screwed.) - MavRevMatt, on 08/03/2008, -1/+6Reddit: Digg's news tomorrow

http://www.digitalartform.com/archives/2004/11/cam ... - p3ngwin, on 08/03/2008, -0/+5exactly, stereoscopic has nothing to so with this.

- Epistaxis, on 08/03/2008, -1/+4Did I miss a joke, or do you not even know the right lyrics?
- batmanz, on 08/03/2008, -2/+5Not stereoscopic.
I like how it says 'click 'read more' for full gallery' but it never has a link that says 'read more'. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 08/03/2008, -0/+3Yeah it only works when the person is at the right vantage and even then the person is likely to be distracted. As the person approaches and the images skews it's just a mess and the lane becomes difficult to navigate.
Especially the "Down" guide paint, where it's yellow, and crosses through the lane so much. - HckySo, on 08/03/2008, -3/+5My grandmother would LOVE this!
- itsripitsrip, on 08/03/2008, -1/+3it's not stereoscopic.
stereoscopic images are the ones that you have to stare at for a while and then they turn 3-d.
this parking garage is all about perspective. -
