- MGrizam, on 03/20/2009, -6/+313guy had balls even if he sounded like kind of a douche... props to him for confronting them.
- vulpescry, on 03/20/2009, -11/+266"Don't you like me? You love me huh!"
I love this guy. - steve196982, on 03/21/2009, -9/+204What you didn't see what the officer kick that guys ass and sprinkle crack on him a few minutes later. Then arrested him for having crack.
- kaelyiesta, on 03/20/2009, -4/+192The value of our laws is largely in part to our consistency in upholding them. If we enforce them only at the whim of those who have the authority to do so, then we are not a nation of laws at all, but a monarchy or oligarchy, where the powerful do what they wish by contract of violence. Simply put, if we don't respect the rule of law, we become a nation governed through might instead of justice. This license plate stuff is just a trivial incident, but indicative of a much larger problem with our law enforcement.
- Lucas123, on 03/20/2009, -0/+112I once got a ticket because my rear license plate light was out. Talk about hunting down local revenue.
- kaasenwyn, on 03/20/2009, -7/+75Hypocrisy is thy name
lying, stealing, beating
getting away with it
that's the aim of the game. - Frankyfan3, on 03/20/2009, -1/+69"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the Prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."

Enforce the laws that protect citizens and their property.
Abolish the laws that destroy lives. - thegamingguy, on 03/20/2009, -2/+61Gotten a bunch of similar tickets. Front plates, noise (stereo), tinting, and even speeding. In one of those, the cop (in an unmakred mustang with tinted windows) tailgated me on the highway so close that I sped up to avoid getting rammed. I ended up getting a tint ticket and then speeding, even though I was going the limit until he was riding my tail. In most of these types of tickets if you comply (or photoshop) after the fact, you can get the ticket dropped.
- inactive, on 03/21/2009, -0/+53I only like videos from the future too
- sinrtb, on 03/21/2009, -2/+55kinda surprised the video didn't end with the cops shooting him.
- Jack8274, on 03/21/2009, -1/+52The cops in my town are awesome, though I do live in one of the most weed central Ontario cities. One time a cop saw me carrying a new bong from the local head shop and he was like, "That's a pretty vase you got there and nodded at me smiling."
- runaton077, on 03/21/2009, -2/+52The nature of police work should cause their jobs to be held to a much higher standard then the rest of us. Naturally, it really pisses people off when cops blow off the laws they make us follow.
- hybrid45, on 03/21/2009, -3/+49did you not just watch the video?
- fahrvergnuugen, on 03/21/2009, -3/+48I once got dragged out of my car and given a sobriety test because I had a screw missing from my front license plate. Friggin dirt bags. Not all of the, but a lot of them.
- jmones, on 03/21/2009, -3/+47The fact is the second you get behind the wheel cops think that your civil rights have been suspended.
- bagelmaster, on 03/21/2009, -1/+44Not me personally but I know how they act. A lot of them abuse their power, maybe not to an extreme like in movies or caught on camera in some videos, but they do abuse it in small ways. Also a lot of people seem to think (like you) that isn't ok to insult or call out cops on anything. They are not above the law and should be called out on every single thing they do wrong to help prevent them from abusing their powers.
- mysticalone, on 03/21/2009, -0/+41Marge: I thought the law was powerless!
Chief Wiggum: Powerless to help you, not punish you, Take her away boys.
Man I wish I had a signature on Digg, that would be it. Oh well, guess I'd rather have folks think I'm spamming.
Anyway from what I've seen, unless you live in a small town where everyone knows each other, the cops will bend rules in their favor. Only problem with small towns though, cops can be a little racist and it'll be ok with folks unless folks accept the differences of people. - MaskedSlacker, on 03/21/2009, -1/+40The fact is that the second you get past the cervix the cops think that your civil rights have been suspended.
- HookmasterCH47, on 03/20/2009, -10/+49I am the law.
- BluesFan, on 03/21/2009, -0/+37Although the guy is right but I see him getting pulled over at every corner as revenge for outing a cop on video.
- Jerky1312, on 03/21/2009, -4/+40If you like videos like this, you'll like Jimmy Justice's videos, where he hounds traffic cops who break traffic laws on a consistent basis...
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=JimmyJustice47 ... - inactive, on 03/21/2009, -11/+46While I agree with his message, I don't think it's possible for someone to have a whinier, douchier voice.
- Sublimin4L, on 03/21/2009, -2/+36@kgerm:
officers, not offercers
uncle, not uncal
however, not how ever
at least you've got the quotation marks correct.
roommate, not room mate
taste, not tast
your, not you
hypocrites, NOT hippocrates
they're, not there
barely, not barley
iceberg, not ice burg.
the ***** are you smoking man? - thelostviking22, on 03/21/2009, -2/+34i once got a ticket for "getting in the turning lane too soon" and the cop had the balls to tell me, "i don't pull people over for things i don't do myself." he then said he saw me get over about 5 ft too soon. if it was a whole car length or more, i could understand. but 5 feet? what, is there some sorta' head up display that measures how much of a "crime" someone is committing so that you know if it's more than what you do? everybody "gets over too soon." even cops. hypocrites.
- snafflepaffle, on 03/21/2009, -1/+32Yup, well known tactic. Tailgate until you go over the speed limit, then pull you over and try to coerce you into allowing them to search your car.
- huangpyc, on 03/21/2009, -5/+35If I had a dollar for every time a cop turned on his/her lights, ran a red light, then turned them off, I would be a very rich man
- K4Lic0, on 03/21/2009, -10/+39Front plates are stupid anyways, especially when they ruin the look of the car. I'm really glad my state only requires rear plates.
- Elliuotatar, on 03/21/2009, -1/+28What part of pulled over for doing nothing wrong didn't you understand?
- hybrid45, on 03/21/2009, -1/+28Good call. The statute of limitations on police hypocrisy is 1 year.
- linagee, on 03/21/2009, -1/+28Or at least a little tazing.
- wrzhydr, on 03/21/2009, -1/+27Don't go over the speed limit then. They teach you that in driving school, that when you are being tailgated, slow down to allow more room in case the vehicle in front of you stops quickly. Or keep your speed constant when there is no one in front of you. Slowing down is much funner though.
- chronopublish, on 03/21/2009, -0/+25The proper and safe response to being tailgated is to slow down, not speed up. You should do this whether or not the person behind you is a cop.
- joshblufs, on 03/21/2009, -2/+26he got a ticket not arrested dumbass... lemme guess u have just enough time on your hands to post comments on digg but not enough time to rtfa?
- kronmuse, on 03/21/2009, -4/+27those unmarked mustangs do that *****!!! i'm of the understanding that because they cannot clock you while they are moving, they tailgate you and watch their own speed, using the logic that your speed matches theirs. also, it seems to be an effective method of provocation. the cop probably profiled you b/c of your tints and was desperate for an excuse to pull you over. gotta make that quota!
- mcquitty, on 03/21/2009, -2/+25Too bad he isn't doing that to politicians.
- JoshReflek, on 03/21/2009, -1/+23jguy: You have missed the point, it's needs to be either not a law at all, or it's the law all the time for everyone, which is easily twisted as a tool of oppression.
"Do as i say, not as i do".
Which is the point of the video in the first place. - triple110, on 03/21/2009, -0/+22I been in court where the judge publicly ridicules an officer for continually harassing and targeting the same person with stupid tickets. The judge stated, "What the hell are you doing out there? If I see you in this court again for this same type of crap, I will have you pay his ticket. You are now on my ***** list and I will personally be reporting you to your superior officer." The judge continued to rant for another minute before everyone in court stood up and have him a standing ovation.
- AntoniusMaximus, on 03/21/2009, -0/+21Cop tailgate detected. Engaging Cruise Control. Locking at 1 mph below speed limit.
Smile. - thepyro, on 03/21/2009, -0/+19I almost got hit on my motorcycle by a cop who failed to yield at a stop sign and was talking on a cell phone. That had me really mad...
- burrgrinder, on 03/21/2009, -2/+20Related scenario: I live in a state that doesn't issue front plates. Driving out beyond a border state marks me for being pulled over for doing nothing wrong.
- jmones, on 03/21/2009, -2/+20There are three cops posted at this intersection near my house daily at rush hour. All they do is hand out tickets for blocking the box. They post three cops for this detail instead of one cop to direct traffic. Now where do the cities priorities lie. My taxes pay for signal maintenance. So either fix the lights so traffic doesn't back up or post a cop to direct an obvious traffic problem. I'm gettin my ***** camera.....
- castletech, on 03/21/2009, -0/+18Slowing down is the best part of being tailgated. I was pulled over after being tailgated by a cop. Limit was 50 I slowed to 35. I couldn't even see his headlights he was so close and clearly pissed because there are no room to pass. He gets out of the car all pissed and says "so what your problem?" and I said "Your tailgating is completly unsafe and making me nervous which is why i had to slow down. I dont want to get hurt." He said nothing else, got back in his car and sped off. I hope he's checking meters in seaside.
- maynardw, on 03/21/2009, -1/+19If they're riding my tail with lights, yes I might move. If there's no lights, then they can go around me.
- MAGZine, on 03/21/2009, -1/+18You can sue for that, and the cop can definitely be dismissed.
... Not saying he will be. He could have broken dude's windshield and not have been dismissed. - linagee, on 03/21/2009, -0/+16Let him crash into the rear of your car. Rear end collisions usually end up being the fault of the person rear ending you.
- sephiroth965, on 03/21/2009, -0/+16Almost never happens. My neighbor pissed off a cop a few years ago and now gets harassed by the police all the time. He's filed complaints, but it doesn't help at all. It just makes things worse.
- arcane81, on 03/21/2009, -0/+15It is a myth,
