- INDOAZZ, on 02/19/2008, -8/+41Where's Honda and Toyota. Two of the biggest and greatest today.
- obliviousfool, on 02/19/2008, -12/+44Wow. Mazda has always had the crappiest logos. Who knew?
- mentol, on 02/19/2008, -3/+34I like BMW. They always had something looking the same from the begining.
- deadnoob, on 02/19/2008, -2/+28BMW 1923 = BMW 2000 + Gradient
- kimcheefreak17, on 02/19/2008, -1/+22Did anyone else think of Mr. Sparkle when they saw the merging of the two logos to make the Mitsubishi logo? Or am I just crazy?
- Soulbow2, on 02/19/2008, -9/+26I never knew Audi used to be 4 different companies. And Mazda has always had cool logos.
- nullr3, on 02/19/2008, -0/+17The first VW one is swastica shaped crazy germans

- Corbinwaltz, on 02/19/2008, -0/+11anyone notice the resemblance between the 1919 Renault logo and the newgrounds.com logo...
- BoneStamp, on 02/19/2008, -2/+13It's much cooler to say "Bayerische Motoren Werke" than BMW
- Ocelot13, on 02/19/2008, -0/+11dude that was only 16 years ago.
- iPissExcellence, on 02/19/2008, -0/+10in the end they all went for a Car 2.0 design.

...I'm sorry I'm just trying to fit in... - diulei, on 02/19/2008, -0/+9A good logo is one that stands the test of time. Good job BMW.
- Chainheart, on 02/19/2008, -0/+8Fiat's '99 logo really looks better than it does now.
- libradragon, on 02/19/2008, -0/+6I just saw on The National Geographic Channel that the BMW roundel isn't about the propeller. It just had to do with the colors of the Bavarian flag --according to BMW company representatives.
- FuriousGopher, on 02/19/2008, -0/+6I think that SAAB has the coolest car logo ever (Based on their current logo, or past variations thereof)
- martynda, on 02/19/2008, -0/+6In the Toyota logo, the entire word is spelled inside the logo. Look closely!
- KaJuN4, on 02/19/2008, -0/+6No prancing horse?? For shame!
- Reziarfg, on 02/19/2008, -0/+6DO YOU HEAR THE V-TECH KICKING IN!?!
- maiku00, on 02/19/2008, -0/+5just slap on a gradient and a lens flair
piece of art! - IChazI, on 02/19/2008, -0/+5When you said "pity the article focused mostly on European cars..." you basically guaranteed that you were going to get dugg down.
- tas08, on 02/19/2008, -0/+5Check back tomorrow for "The evolution of Digg articles on evolving images"
- Smiley09, on 02/19/2008, -1/+5They all went from being insanely intricate to easily intelligible.
- osbjmg, on 02/19/2008, -1/+5Where are my 7 sisters?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Pleiades_large. ... - diulei, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4Or raging bull for that matter...
- mushroomqueen, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4The Mazda logo was pretty crappy. Same with the Fiat one.
- Tippis, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4"I have no idea how they are the number one car maker in the world. They run forever I will give them that."
...and you don't think you found your answer right there? - gregmo, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4Well written and interesting article. I hope eventually theres a part 2 to cover any new revelations
- diulei, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4Maybe because everything else about their cars is good?
- ronpaulblogscom, on 02/19/2008, -1/+5Toyota has the worst logos, the worst car names, and some of the most boring designs. I have no idea how they are the number one car maker in the world. They run forever I will give them that.
- MazdaVI, on 02/19/2008, -0/+4whats up with the '75 buick?
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3Didn't Toyota recently pass Ford in US marketshare?
- IChazI, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3That crap was kinda sorta funny the first couple of times, but now it's just getting ***** annoying.
- mcducks, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3the connection between auto union and audi is not as straightforward as the site makes it seem. interesting nonetheless
- falkonv7l, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3I love German cars.
- obliviousfool, on 02/19/2008, -0/+3One thing I like about Toyotas is how easy they are to work on. Every bolt on a Toyota is either a 14mm bolt or a 10mm bolt. You need two wrenches for practically everything. That's smart design. That's what got my little Corolla over 200,000 miles.
- fancyj, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2"White propeller zipping around a blue sky. After the war, we told them they couldn't make plane engines. That's when BMW gave some serious thought to making cars. Kind of like this one. You probably knew all that, seeing as you lease one." - Finding Forrester
One of my favorite quotes from a movie. - inactive, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2'After Germany was defeated in World War II, the British took over the Volkswagen factory and the KdF-Wagen was renamed the Beetle. The British then sought to give control of the company - first they asked the Ford Motor Company, then the French Government, other British car manufacturers and lastly, Fiat. All turned down this "free offer" because they thought the Beetle’s design was inferior and that the company would be a money drain. (Source: The Auto Channel)
So, the British gave the Volkswagen company back to the German government in a trust. Later, having sold more than 21 million cars, the Volkswagen Beetle would become one of the world’s best selling cars ever.'
epic fail. - kajoob, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Please tell me there is somebody else out there that thinks the Mazda logo looks like the Hartford Whalers logo?
- betona, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I was thinking Porsche, too.
- Servebot, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2best quality and resale value... just cant deny that.
- scarwars, on 02/19/2008, -10/+12fascinating..
- artofwar420, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2What else would your majesty given them? Please master.
- Klainmeister, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2***** that was some awesome english
- goomba323, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2I think it's interesting how most of the logo's eventually wind up with a metallic, shiny logo after the year 2000. This applies to the similar article about company logo's.
- Classicgamer, on 02/19/2008, -2/+4Yes. Greatest. HONDA POWER BIZNITCH
- goomba323, on 02/19/2008, -0/+2Those Japanese sure do know how to make a reliable car...I'll give them that.
