- popzero, on 07/02/2009, -0/+19Ha! "Newfangled" vampires. Sneaky pun, sneaky.
- neiph, on 07/04/2009, -3/+17Just give me Kate Beckinsale in black latex
- ghidorahnotweak, on 07/03/2009, -0/+10Is it wrong of me to want a live action, big-budget version of Vampire Hunter D?
- snookky, on 07/04/2009, -0/+9Judging by all past anime to live action remakes, YES.
- AmusedToDeath, on 07/04/2009, -0/+8If you're a Sci-Fi fan, it truly is a must-see cult classic. It's such a weird movie that would NEVER get made today, but it's so much fun. And of course watching Mathilda May prance around buck naked for the entire movie doesn't hurt its watchability either. There are lots of crappy movies that would be instant classics if the female lead was naked throughout the movie.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -1/+8I always though vampires where kinda whiny and emo, zombies have always been my horror monster of choice.
I also really like Vampire Hunter D and they even showed a clip of it, so that's really good enough for me. - benroy, on 07/04/2009, -0/+7Just checked out the IMDB page for Lifeforce. Patrick Stewart plays a character named Dr. Armstrong. Guess what movie is going on the top of my Netflix queue?
- snookky, on 07/04/2009, -0/+6Dugg for Vampire Hunter D!
- dse78759, on 07/02/2009, -1/+6http://www.hulu.com/watch/12375/buck-rogers-space- ...
- magneteye, on 07/04/2009, -0/+5Aren't the Wraith from Stargate Atlantis basically space vampires?
- anonymousmedic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+3No, It's Not. It's the prime definition of Mary Sue Character.
- kaosethema, on 07/04/2009, -0/+3dugg for Wilma Deering's (Erin Gray) butt...
- FearlessFreep, on 07/04/2009, -0/+3I saw it a few years ago... weird but well done. And yes, Mathilda May spends most of the movie naked
- cheese0089, on 07/04/2009, -4/+7Well, it can't be worst than Twilight can it?
- FearlessFreep, on 07/04/2009, -0/+3With Keanu Reeves as "D"
- lobsterxcore, on 07/04/2009, -0/+3Maybe if you have a vagina.
- 1807, on 07/04/2009, -1/+4Only if it is Directed by Tarentino.
- MrARPA, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2Ah, Mathilda May ... dribble ... *B-P
- anonymousmedic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2***** Vampires in Space. The new Hellsing OVA kicks ass.
I've always wanted to see an interaction between Edward Cullen and Alucard.
Or Bella and Seras Victoria. - supermanred, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2Vampires in Doctor Who live in space too and are the ancient mortal enemies of the Time Lords, though they have never been shown or seen on the show they are mentioned. About time we had some invade Earth. Zombie Vampires. From space.
- DarkBlueAnt, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2I have a few issues of Fray that I got from a bargain bin at the comic store. I thought they were going to be horrible and put off reading them forever. When I finally did get to them, they weren't too bad.
- error2k2, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2The last "Vampires in London" scenario I read were about nazi vampires out for revenge fighting the Vatican and Hellsing.
Alucard arriving to battle in an aircraft carrier covered in his black shadow was awesome. - Bolinoak, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2Just want to say, Sivil is not a vampire but a being from an ancient race of space demons called Protodevilin. Her goal is not blood but energy generated from sound, which the main character from Macross 7 makes, being in a band after all. It just so happens that she is unlike a majority of her kind and human sized and looks... Well I guess slutty.
Kinda odd that she's here really. Not the whole she not being a vampire so much as she being known. Not many people have seen Macross 7. - inactive, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2Lifeforce is a great movie! It's got everything: space vampires, hot people naked, Partick Stewart and British people :)
- LarkStew, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2When I saw this topic the first thing I thought of was Lifeforce... naked space vampires invade Earth and turn everyone into zombies... Mathilda May nude... Patrick Stewart screaming like a girl... London reduced to rubble... what's not to love?
- WootZoot, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Don't forget the adventures of Dr. McNinja. In issue nine, he fights Dracula 1 on 1 in Drac's moon base!
- Leopards, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Why only reference Movies? Robert Frezza wrote a fun series of books back in the 90s starting with "McLendon's Syndrome" , seems it is a strange malady that slows down victims aging while causing extreme photosensitivity and weird digestive problems, weird as in most sufferers can only metabolize blood and chocolate chip cookies!! One such person ends up as a crewperson on a tramp interstellar freighter! Very much on the lighter side of Science Fiction!
- Culyt, on 07/04/2009, -1/+2I always thought of them as a cross between space vampires and space elves.
Thats one of the things I hated about Stargate, the psudoscience where people have souls and such. Being in a higher plane of existence I can deal with to a degree, but being able to become one by thinking? A mysterious 'life force' that the wraith suck out? It doesn't go too well with self replicating bots, hyperspace drives and zero point energy sources. I'm sure there is some scientific way that stuff could be explained if you really try (like the higher being ascend you if your smart enough rather than it being some state of consciousness), but it gets a bit far fetched.
Happened in BSG too, I want a more realistic SciFi taking into account things like relativity, light speed and such. - anonymousmedic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Only if it's directed by someone who gives a *****, and only if it's a live action of Hellsing.
- FearlessFreep, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1I thought SG1 kept it pretty good. Even the "Ascended" were grounded in some sort of rationale and seemed to have some sort of explanation. SG:A with the wraith and the culling just seemed too far-fetched, to much "this is the way it is because of what we want to do with the stories"
I don't know if that makes sense but I liked SG1 but thought SG:A was closer to the level of Andromeda or some sorta other campy sci-fi show at the time - system5y, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1No.
- anonymousmedic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Integra Hellsing> Those things are ghouls. They are the result of a vampire drinking the blood of deflowered men and women. They live to serve only their Master.
- FearlessFreep, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Pretty close, they just suck your 'life essence' or whatever, instead of blood
- FearlessFreep, on 07/04/2009, -1/+2Probably more than saw Dracula 3000 http://www.somethingawful.com/d/movie-reviews/drac ...
- Tyrghast, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1That Vampire Hunter D clip was incredible.
- yaosio, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1I want my fake TV shows to be more realistic. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go play WOW for 10 hours.
- greenbird12, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1disappointed that Blood:The Last Vampire wasnt mentioned. Really great "vampire" anime.
- bshock, on 07/04/2009, -1/+2Why must vampires appear anywhere? What is wrong with you mouth-breathing half-wits?
- Frostek, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Durham Red?
- mzieg, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1All about Kostya (Twilight Watch)!
- Frostek, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Nosferatu was a *vampire*.
Don't get muddled up with these new ones. - Frostek, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Dammit! Thanks for reminding me!
That was one of the worst films I've ever seen... Gaah! - poitzort, on 07/04/2009, -1/+1Vampires are boring. ZZZzzzZZZzzz. Oooohhh look I suck blood and have a ton of unrelated powers.
- skratakh, on 07/06/2009, -0/+0the wraith in stargate are technically vampires
- phosphite, on 07/04/2009, -1/+1Damn Vampire Space Monkeys... The stinky putrid monkeys are from outer space... They're tossing their crap every where! I tried to dodge it but it ended up in my hair...
- consolepredator, on 07/06/2009, -0/+0Twilight crazy....:))
- iMiXiMi, on 07/04/2009, -4/+1it's actually a good series
