- edgepepper, on 07/01/2008, -0/+0Anyone know of ways to green residential roofs? I see this a lot on commercial buildings, how would I do this on a home?
- sciencesays, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1Cool post - Edgepepper, it's a lot harder on a home because most of them have sloped rooves. Look into things like terracing in order to make a growable space.
- razorsharp84, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1And if you plant white flowers, you could also reflect the sun's rays back out into space, although I think setting up an array of solar panels on your rooftop would do more to combat global warming.
- inthedoghouse, on 07/02/2008, -0/+1This is a great idea. The Conference Center in Salt Lake, Utah, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has a whole green rooftop with vegetation that is original to that area. It is a magnificent sight to behold.
