- EruditeGoof, on 01/16/2008, -2/+12It's not even that big of a deal, something like 8 percent of kids do it.
- yersoocrust, on 01/16/2008, -13/+22The only people who really like Pollock are pretentious hipsters and stoners.
- inactive, on 01/16/2008, -3/+11Damn, only 13 comments and someone already mentioned Steadman. Maybe Digg isn't as bad as people keep saying it is. It is more similar in the sense that you can actually make intelligible images with this. An actual Pollock simulator wouldn't draw lines between the blotches.
- inactive, on 01/16/2008, -2/+10Here, have this thesaurus
- Hoogs, on 01/16/2008, -0/+8Probably just you.
- woofers07, on 01/16/2008, -0/+8Sure is easy to create a $140 million piece of art. Just need to get the cigarette ashes in there though.

- inactive, on 01/16/2008, -3/+11Yeah, this style is almost more similar to Ralph Steadman than Pollock. He has some incredible artwork.
- oojamaflip2006, on 01/16/2008, -0/+7All the happy lil creatures stole the Bob Ross simulator so they could make happy little tree homes for each other using the power of their own imaginations. God I loved Bob Ross.
- Dp76, on 01/16/2008, -3/+10Thanks :) This website save my time at office :)
- jetboyterp, on 01/16/2008, -1/+8"This little tree lives right over there..." Strange dude, that Ross...but great teacher!

- inactive, on 01/16/2008, -5/+10Please be honest: Have you ever seen one of Pollock's works in person? This requires you to have actually stepped foot in a museum, so that may be asking a lot of you, but Pollock's works are quite impressive in person. They are massive in scale and have amazing textures and colors. I don't think they are very impressive to look at in a book, but seeing them in person lets you see the many layers to the painting. Out of many works of art in museums, his are some of the ones I find most fascinating to just look at.
- highdef, on 01/16/2008, -0/+5Looks like the submitter, as have I, been playing around on Jeff Bridges blog after the Cracked article.

It would be cool if Digg labs could create some sort of visual way to represent how front page websites influence other front page websites. - inactive, on 01/16/2008, -1/+5And space to erase.
- gavinrobinson, on 01/16/2008, -3/+7seen on stumble about 2 years ago.
- yomamaisfat, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3I made one. I'm gonna sell it for $140 million.

- metamorfoza, on 01/16/2008, -2/+5...as oppose to those who just [not so really] like him,
and we have those who really ( I mean really) don't like him
and again those who just [not so really] don't like him.
and I really have an urge now to take ***** (which i really like) - Skafia, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3Hmmm... my painting looks very similar to a road map of New Jersey.
Which is to say, ***** incoherent. - fernandor93, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3I am a pretty big art fan and really liked Pollock's work at some point in my life (I am still a fan of his work, but I approach it from a different perspective now), yet, I can't really blame you for thinking that way. Most people in the art world agree that it's important for the general public to get exposure and be able to experience art; however, museums, galleries, art schools, and most things related to the art world have this, like you said, pretentious air to them. As someone who enjoys art and would like to see other people enjoying it too, I wish people were able to ignore this aspect of the art world and enjoy art for what it is. To me, the great thing about art is that you don't even need to know about the artist or the art most of the time to appreciate it, and Pollock is one of the best examples. Even if you think that anyone paint like Pollock (which I don't think), I think it's hard not to be moved by huge canvases covered with splattered paint (forget about the gallery, and picture the work in your living room). Art can be extremely liberating; admire it for what it is, and not for what it's supposed to be (it's impossible that way anyway).
- parax, on 01/16/2008, -0/+3Most people who have such strong opinions about Pollock have little if any appreciation for art. They don't think critically about a piece, they just look at hit, snicker "I could do that, piece of crap." If you don't Nobody says you need to like Pollock, but to accuse him of anything more than producing art you don't like is uncultured to say the least.
Maybe Pollock was one of the greatest artists, maybe he wasn't, why should it matter to you? Do you have some stake in whether or not people appreciate his art? - RedStarRizing, on 01/16/2008, -3/+5mine is worth $68 million
- schroeder, on 01/16/2008, -4/+6What the hell's your problem?
