- Rotzooi, on 07/21/2009, -33/+978So, are you saying Iraq isn't responsible for the 9/11 attacks? Then why did we attack them? I don't get it.
- dumass4u, on 07/21/2009, -16/+662What the *****? I always knew Americans would be the end of us Canadians. DAMN YOU!
- DirtPile, on 07/21/2009, -3/+595I only understand things if they are in motivational posters.
- Fartbandit, on 07/21/2009, -14/+528Wait.... Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 ??? HOLY ***** CALL FOX NEWS!!!
- chabs39, on 07/21/2009, -15/+402Am I the only one that thinks the /s tag ruins the joke? If people are too stupid to understand sarcasm when they see it that's their own problem.
- BaphClass, on 07/21/2009, -14/+348That's actually a pretty awesome way of putting it.
Anyways, as a Canadian, I'm not scared. They'd freeze to death at night anyway, while we're laughing at them on our porches, swigging beer, and ice-cold Crown & Cokes. - CloakandSwagger, on 07/21/2009, -154/+465For the record, people are seriously still looking for answers.
There's a new initiative underway in NY to get a proper investigation into 9/11.
So far, over 70,000 have signed in support of a new investigation.
http://nyccan.org/
"NYC CAN is non-partisan organization comprised of 9/11 Families, First Responders, Survivors and proud, concerned citizens committed to bringing about an independent, impartial investigation into the events of September 11."
Also on DIGG, VIDEO: $100 Million Spent Investigating Clinton's Blowjob, and only $4 Million Spent Investigating 9/11. Just the facts.
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Jesse_Ventura_10 ... - BigVi, on 07/21/2009, -7/+305Hes saying we should attack Canada.
- nixonismyhero, on 07/21/2009, -24/+289Yup. NOBODY has EVER questioned the Iraq War. NOT A SINGLE PERSON.
Sometimes sarcasm is the only way to get an idiot to see how stupid they are. - Zappeto, on 07/21/2009, -38/+264Answers? Answers to what?
What answers exist that would satisfy a group of people that will not and cannot be satisfied? The only possible solution is to produce some affirmation of their own deeply held idiosyncratic theories that allow them to scream "A HA! We Knew it all along!!"? But, sadly, that won't happen, because it can't happen. Why?
Because, dear friends, the attacks of September 11th were not part of a government conspiracy. [INSERT SPITTLE_FILLED TRUTHER RANT HERE]. The explanation and reasons for the attack are the simplest -- stunning yes - but still the simplest explanation. A small group of intelligent, committed psychopaths hijacked four airliners and flew them into three buildings in an act of demented religious fanaticism. The sequence of events and chain of evidence going back to before the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 by Ramsi Yousef supports that conclusion tightly.
Yes, I know, you have the Internets, you buy the booklets, attend the marches, and you watched the SUNY Oneonta student's production of "Loose Change" [remember Loose Change? Remember the amazing claim in "Loose Change 1.0" that a missile hit the Pentagon? OMG a missile! Well yeeaaaaa, except that the Pentagon is surrounded by major highways (I395, GW Parkway Glebe, Rd, etc) and thousands of commuters sitting in their cars on those roads in rush hour traffic watched American Airliner 77 come in low, turn, bank in and crash into the south side of the Pentagon at 9:37 am
"But what about . . "
"Don't you think it's strange . . ."
"There's NO way . . ."
"I know a friend who says . . "
If you look at any event look long enough, and hard enough, and with a deep enough preconceived notion of something you want to -- or need to -- find, you'll find it. (BTW the aforementioned is the formula for some of the worst science ever conducted.) Add to that a wholesale immersion in a group of people of like mindset . . well, such phenomena rarely go quietly into that good night (Moon landing deniers; JFK assassination theorists; Roswell Alien body conspirators; und so weider).
If you must, continue to pursue the "real answers." If doing so provides comfort and gives you solace in comprehending that horrific event, then continue. But leave the porch light on when you depart for this journey in case you need to find your way back home. - Petmc, on 07/21/2009, -24/+242Nine Eleven 2: Electric Boogaloo

Captain: What !
Operator: Main screen turn on.
Captain: It's you !! - CanadianCheese, on 07/21/2009, -2/+162No, seriously, call Fox News. They still think Iraq did.
- janoo1989, on 07/21/2009, -2/+106It's all a ploy for the oil... protect Alberta!!!
- katz45, on 07/21/2009, -38/+141I love how everyone keeps mentioning the Iraq war being a retaliation for 9/11. when in fact the Iraq war was a responce to Saddam refusing UN inspectors to inspect for WMD's, and had nothing to do with 9/11
- Rodalli, on 07/21/2009, -0/+88MOTIVATIONAL POSTERS - I only understand things if they're in them
- k3rfuffl3, on 07/21/2009, -2/+87You Canadians aren't the only ones who've heard of coats.
- coreyjkelly, on 07/21/2009, -8/+89Nooooo... not Canada!
- zeabu, on 07/21/2009, -0/+79...to prevent the Saudis from attacking it.

It's not that most of us are incapable of understanding sarcasm, it's the small but vocal percentage of Diggers who really are that stupid that cast everybody's posts into doubt. I lost count long ago of how many people I assumed were being sarcastic, only to look at their posting history and find out they were dead serious. - Pinkertinkle, on 07/21/2009, -10/+77Just 80,000?
- anxdiety, on 07/21/2009, -1/+68But we all have toques!
- xjonnyx134, on 07/21/2009, -11/+73The "Blame Canada" idea has so much potential...
- inactive, on 07/21/2009, -4/+66Obvious sarcasm is obvious, and AWESOME!
- geoman2k, on 07/21/2009, -10/+68sigh. i guess i'll do the honors this time.
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/militar ... - zip000, on 07/21/2009, -4/+62Anything: "2: Electric Boogaloo" gets my digg.
- 11oops, on 07/21/2009, -18/+75No, blame Canada
Blame Canada
With all their beady little eyes
And flapping heads so full of lies
Blame Canada
Blame Canada
We need to form a full assault
It's Canada's fault! - allothersnsused, on 07/21/2009, -10/+67Motivational texts: Sometimes, they're just unnecessary.
- DooM, on 07/21/2009, -40/+94"do you really still think that the towers collapsed due to jet impacts and fire alone? And that WTC 6 collapsed exactly like a controlled demolition because of a big chunk of debris that fell on it?"
Yes I do.
""Truthers" as you call em actually have much more scientific facts to back their claims than all those calling em wackos."
No. No you don't. - GeyserShitdick, on 07/21/2009, -1/+55Whoever added the demotivator crap to the original image doesn't know what sarcasm is.
- seanoneil14, on 07/21/2009, -19/+71@Zeag:
As an engineering student, I can tell you yes, I believe that WTC 6 did not collapse from controlled demolition. The minute you back up your conspiracies with cold hard data about the foundation and structural integrity I will start listening. - inactive, on 07/21/2009, -22/+74Well that doesn't make any sense.
- acknotSW, on 07/21/2009, -7/+59Here in Michigan, we just had a bridge (made up of steel and concrete) collapse after a fuel tanker ran into it, burst into flames, and then proceeded to burn out of control for an extended period of time.
The problem with all conspiracy nuts, you among them, is that there is no convincing you with facts, evidence, common sense, or anything else. You have already made up your mind that something shady happened and that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a sheep who refuses to "wake up".
Right now you nuts scream, "they didn't conduct a good enough investigation, therefore they are hiding the fact that it was all a huge false flag opp" If they conducted the most expensive investigation possible, it wouldn't fundamentally change anything for you people, you would just change your screams to, "they ran the investigation which let them hide the fact that it was a huge false flag opp"
You will never convince a Christian that there is no god and you will never convince a toofer that there was no huge conspiracy.
IMHO, the reason we will never have an accurate picture of exactly what happened on 911 is because afterward everyone was scrambling to protect their asses and the asses of their agencies. The entire day and the events leading up to it was a mass of ***** and failed systems so staggering that no one wants the whole story to get out. - lazyslacker, on 07/21/2009, -0/+51how are you gentlemen
- CrackHappy, on 07/21/2009, -7/+57Thank you for the excellent, well thought out response to the idiots who will believe anything on the Internet.
- gl77, on 07/21/2009, -2/+51WMD's that were never there in the first place yet the administration swore they were.
- 11oops, on 07/21/2009, -5/+53Al Queda in Iraq didn't exist until after our arrival.
- jakereilly, on 07/21/2009, -1/+49I don't understand what you are saying.
- GrumpyJake, on 07/21/2009, -13/+58People believe what is easy to believe. The American people needed to react to 911 and blame someone, and the American government provided comfort and closure by accusing Iraq and retaliating.
People need to open their eyes and see what's happening instead of just blindly swallowing what their government tells them. - cecilpl, on 07/21/2009, -1/+46What's a coat?
/Canadian. - GunWraith, on 07/21/2009, -5/+50@Zappeto:
Well said. While I sure don't believe we "blew up" the towers and whatnot, there is evidence that there was prior knowledge of an impending attack and that the warnings were ignored. Whether that was intentional or not is debatable ad infinitum, but what is certain is that we used 9/11 to help falsely justify invading Iraq. THAT is what should be being investigated. - malex, on 07/21/2009, -6/+49There's a strong and significant difference between wanting a proper and independent investigation of the September 11th attacks, and saying what the troothers are saying.
I think we can all agree that the Bush Administration exploited the attack to advance a radical agenda. Rational people can even suggest that they _knew_ about or suspected it before it happened, and allowed it to occur. But it takes a special kind of brain to say that they not only orchestrated the event, but had a secret team of engineers wire the two largest buildings in New York City with explosives, because crashing planes alone just aren't impressive enough.
... Oh, and to have the President stare blankly at a room of kindergartners for 7 minutes while it was happening. - sinnet, on 07/21/2009, -0/+43If you are doing the conversion by weight then you are correct.
- pintomp3, on 07/21/2009, -6/+47Not nearly enough people questioned it.

- azimir, on 07/21/2009, -0/+37It's metric, just nod and keep rolling.
- Skywise, on 07/21/2009, -14/+50Meanwhile, Obama INCREASES the troops in Afghanistan and continues attacking Pakistan territory.
- audiorage18, on 07/21/2009, -4/+39No..bad analogy because Afghanistan and Iraq were not engaged in a global war together at the time.
- TobiasParker, on 07/21/2009, -4/+39Neither the Taliban or Al Qaeda was in Iraq before we invaded.
