This seems like an inside thing. No one in their right mind is going to scan their magazines, that would take forever. Someone in the publishing industry who has access to the digital files of each magazine is behind this.

- cliffdogg, on 08/19/2008, -0/+4I heard about this on the radio of all places (at work....don't worry, I wouldn't listen to it in my leisure time!). Apparently they don't have any servers in the US (a la TPB) and they couldn't be sued if anyone tried. Pretty cool.

The fact that there are advertisements in the magazines suggests that the magazine publisher should have no complaints whatsoever. Also... it is AS GREEN AS IT GETS as people can read their favorite stories without killing trees.

- cheraz, on 08/16/2008, -0/+1If you read through the site, it is the magazine publishers who are submitting them so it is legit. That is how I read it anyway.
The reason the publishers do this is to get more readership and it costs them nothing. They also upload ads so the advertisers get an added benefit too. It is a win/win...good for the magazine and good for readers. I like that it is very "green" and even though the quality isn't like a real magazine it is a good alternative. Many of the magazines I already buy are there but this way I can email the articles I like to friends to tell them to check it out too. - taylorblue, on 08/16/2008, -1/+2I love this...now i don't need to go to the library anymore.. :) and i can save money and paper!

I like the fact that you can collect all of your favorite articles in your own mygazine... Simply I love it! :)
