Making a Bitchin' First Aid Kit
delsquacho.com — It’s probably a good idea to keep a first aid kit on hand for any sort of emergency, ranging from a scraped knee to an accidental decapitation. If you ’re anything like me, you don’t want just any first aid kit in your house. You want a first aid kit that looks like it could kick a little ass if it had to. Look no further.

- digg it
- michaelwong38, on 07/23/2008, -0/+25very useful, for mine i'd add a mickey of whiskey. really liked the painted on cross, very ghetto diy, dugg
- louiebaur, on 07/23/2008, -0/+18your right that does look kick ass I would rock one of those for sure!
- Crackerpat, on 07/23/2008, -0/+40Where is the Super Glue? Can't fix cuts without Super Glue.
- Cancerkitty, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9Super Glue is great stuff. Wouldn't be without it.
- Lewie, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6I actually cut myself yesterday, and the super glue is holding me together nicely :)
- sealjosh, on 07/23/2008, -0/+11Now, I'm going to put super glue in the jump bags in our ambulance
- cawpin, on 07/23/2008, -3/+7I really hope you're joking.
- MasterThief117, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Damn, I came here just to mention super glue.
Again, this stuff is magical. And safe too. Completely non-toxic.- cap11235, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Feels good, man.
- torgo112, on 07/23/2008, -0/+19In addition to being a fully-functional first aid kit, this one appears to have the added bonus of being used as a weapon. I'll bet if you swung that thing around and cracked someone in the noggin with the corner of it, it'd hurt like hell.
- micahned, on 07/24/2008, -0/+2Then it's the problem AND the solution
- Mathieugothax, on 07/23/2008, -0/+14What a great idea, I like the DIY factor and that it's made from an ammo box, that's so cool!
- quomen, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7I remember when digg used to have a ton of cool submissions like this.
- cawpin, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2You and me both. It's amazing how people think anything made from an ammo can is cool, which they are, but don't know how easy they are to get.
- ObeseSnake, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3They are $10 from here...

- quomen, on 07/23/2008, -0/+7I remember when digg used to have a ton of cool submissions like this.
- akpwnz, on 07/23/2008, -1/+10Sweet idea, I'm gonna try this.
- AmyVernon, on 07/23/2008, -1/+148. Use new first aid kit on your cuts and bruises sustained when your wife kicks your ass for demanding she fill it with first aid supplies. Oh, wait — you won't be able to, because she told you to fill it yourself!
:-)- Cancerkitty, on 07/23/2008, -1/+4You're so right!
- charlieville, on 07/23/2008, -0/+13I could have used this last weekend when I fell off a ladder.
- sockpuppets, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10You work for qvc?
- torgo112, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3ahh.. that was a classic qvc moment right there...
- tufftugg, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3 Are diggers suppose to be using ladders?
- sockpuppets, on 07/23/2008, -0/+10You work for qvc?
- kataztrophy, on 07/23/2008, -2/+36My first aid kit is better than that one. It has a built in large chested nurse. If you really hurt yourself, you can just cry into her bosom.
- YodaJones, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6I don't know...I kinda like the ammo box better.
- bmph8ter, on 07/23/2008, -3/+6LOL! I'd actually need it if I told my wife that; she's buff!
- Jektal, on 07/23/2008, -0/+9Actually a pretty good idea - although the author fails at painting a cross. Would be much better to just use masking tape to create the cross (you can use 4 pieces on the edges to make a border, then put your measuring pencil marks on the tape border). No need to print out a design, it's a ***** cross. And then you wouldn't have to worry about the paint spraying under your stencil, as happened to his.
Also, are those ammo cans watertight?- Cancerkitty, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5That probably would have been a better way to do it, but it looks pretty cool with the half-assed over-spray.
The cans are watertight. There's a rubber gasket on the inside of the lid that seals when it's closed.
- Cancerkitty, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5That probably would have been a better way to do it, but it looks pretty cool with the half-assed over-spray.
- Kisama, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5Explode? I don't wanna explode!
- burstaneurysm, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5Fill it will band-aids and hemostats and *****.
- sockpuppets, on 07/23/2008, -0/+14I'd leave the ***** out of it, it would probably contaminate the band-aids.
- phike, on 07/23/2008, -1/+10Mirror please?
- crapmatic, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8At first I thought the website needed a first aid kit, but it's quite clear it needs a medic and an airlift out of the Digg DMZ.
- albinorhino101, on 07/23/2008, -0/+5I'd prefer my first aid kit not to bitch at me
- spankr, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12Mirror? No, not for the kit, for the site!
- MidnightRIder77, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:http%3A%2F%2F ...
- spankr, on 07/29/2008, -0/+2thx!
- MidnightRIder77, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache:http%3A%2F%2F ...
- TeraRealm256, on 07/23/2008, -1/+13this server needs first-aid already!
- hkbebe1, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5super. then you just need to remember where it is... in the emergency situation.. hopefully it's not buried in the garage.. when u can't get up coz u fell off ur bed and hit ur head doing barrel rolls for LULz.
- rblancarte, on 07/23/2008, -1/+7Accidental Decapitation - I think that is an injury that might be just beyond the scope of any first aid kit (even a bitchin' one)
- Rossoneri22, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5My first reaction to the title was a first aid kit for getting bitched at...
- Ahart88, on 07/23/2008, -5/+5I better make one before the zombies and post apocalyptic mutants get here.
- phike, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3Fail.
- Cndor, on 07/23/2008, -2/+6Mirror?

- endlessoul, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2The morphine, the better.
- Cybermaul, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2Say eight!
- republicker, on 07/23/2008, -3/+5This is ridiculous, its a ***** box. Paint a box on the side and store a box inside.
- chrispchiken, on 07/23/2008, -1/+8http://209.85.141.104/search?q=cache:5-YXm_ukad4J: ...
- spankr, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Bitchin', maybe, but "Uber" would include QuikClot:
http://www.z-medica.com/quikclot/ - spankr, on 07/23/2008, -0/+12Ok - I saw the mirror - it's all about the box?!?? How about the ***** inside? An effing *box* is not going pull a splinter from a toe let alone save someone's life.
We used surplus 50cal ammo boxes in boy scouts to keep stuff dry...- Spooky51, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3I concur. Anyone can throw ***** in a pretty box. The guide would be a bit more useful with a list of ***** that would be handy in a medical emergency.
- Frinkiac, on 07/24/2008, -0/+1Got any good guides anywhere? I was pretty pumped but article was a huge let down...
- spankr, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1Frinkiac - gimme a bit - I'll get out my "SAS Survival Handbook", but you can start with triangle bandages, triangle bandages, and more triangle bandages... They're useful for lots of things like donut bandages, slings, tourniquets, pressure bandages...
- Spooky51, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3I concur. Anyone can throw ***** in a pretty box. The guide would be a bit more useful with a list of ***** that would be handy in a medical emergency.
- perlabsrat, on 07/23/2008, -1/+2I've fallen and I can't get up!
- MaxIsBored, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8Too bad these guys can't make a bitchin server.
- DteK, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3my first aid kit consist of duct tape........thats it.
- ps3udov3ctor, on 07/23/2008, -0/+8never in my life did I think that first aid kits could be described as "bitchin".
- eggballs, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Where's the weed for nausea?
- picciano, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4That's all that's in the "California" Kit.
- faceless323, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Weed and sunblock lotion are in the CA kit.
The New Jersey kit would have hair pomade and insta-tan.
- faceless323, on 07/23/2008, -0/+6Weed and sunblock lotion are in the CA kit.
- picciano, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4That's all that's in the "California" Kit.
- zapper69, on 07/23/2008, -3/+2Oh joys, more lame crap. Digg has been getting good these days.
- MaxIsBored, on 07/23/2008, -2/+5I love the way this was wrote up.. .haha.
- alphatauri, on 07/23/2008, -1/+5Somehow, due to the addition of the word "bitchin", this article became worthy of my time.
- hotpepper, on 07/23/2008, -3/+4That's no kit. It's a box to hold a kit. Lame.
- kenedamick, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3Looks like delsquacho.com needs its own first-aid kid.
- swatward, on 07/23/2008, -1/+11Alternate Title: HOW TO PAINT A BOX.
/caps - rsHoratio, on 07/23/2008, -2/+2Next on Digg: Learn how to make the best looking flashlight with nothing inside!
- kateyall, on 07/23/2008, -0/+4I can't get the page to load, but dugg anyway for "bitchin' first aid kit".

- simonsayschunk, on 07/23/2008, -0/+3tank proof first aid kit. thats gonna b on my wish list this year
- neFariou5, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2Error establishing a database connection
- THirD3ye, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4Looks like they need to add a server to their kit.
- MetalGear7, on 07/24/2008, -0/+4But sir....Diggers don't go outside, they stay inside and Digg all night long
- icdapoakr, on 07/24/2008, -0/+5I just dugg this for the bitchin title.
- fdiskit, on 07/24/2008, -2/+1And this, kids, is how really lame crap winds up on the front page.
- MoosaofND, on 07/24/2008, -0/+3That thing looks heavy and clunky enough to necessitate its own use from box-related injuries. That plus the injuries inflicted upon husband, and regardless of what goes into the kit, that thing will be empty in no time!!
