- dadotron, on 06/12/2008, -3/+11love the Ying Yang table! simple, round, and you can hide things in it!
- thepretext, on 06/12/2008, -1/+9DESU DESU DESU table.
- chizzed, on 06/13/2008, -0/+7Dude, I don't know if it's a coincidence or what, but your comment is exactly the same, word for word, as the 2nd comment on the page.
- edwartica, on 06/12/2008, -1/+7umm, actually ***** goes in the toilet. Might want to remember that for next time. ;)
- Omek, on 06/12/2008, -0/+6The cardboard table is pretty elaborate. I like the chat bubble shape.
- alapoet, on 06/12/2008, -1/+7I like the Oval or the YinYang, depending on the mood I'm in.
- craighamnett, on 06/13/2008, -0/+6Was I the only one disappointed to see that these weren't creative HTML/CSS tables?
- paranoiabacon, on 06/12/2008, -0/+6If I saw something clever, like a coffee table in the shape of a yin-yang, I had to have it.
- kylethompson1, on 06/13/2008, -0/+6One of them is over 5000, one is almost 4000 and several over 1000. I think thats over priced for a table.
- drakia, on 06/13/2008, -0/+5Holy crap, $3,950 for that "Plateau Coffee Table"? There's not even enough material in that table to be worth a quarter of that price, *****. It's a nice looking table, but so not worth it.
- db0255, on 06/12/2008, -1/+6And yet they all do the same thing...
- TheAmazingBob, on 06/13/2008, -0/+4Where's Kramer's Coffee Table?
- ELLIS1128, on 06/12/2008, -1/+5Only on digg...
- aquadeluxe, on 06/12/2008, -0/+4Good thing they aren't talking about HTML tables...
- kylethompson1, on 06/13/2008, -0/+4$5,290 for a table? Ill probably just get one from a flea market for $20.
- annihilator675, on 06/13/2008, -0/+4God, this reminds me of a thing that Tyler Durden says in Fight Club about consumers and their obsessions with possessions like ying-yang tables. LOL.
- ThePwnyExpress, on 06/13/2008, -0/+4this is a cool table not on the list.
http://bp1.blogger.com/_njT2XfdP5Mc/SCAyXBkrlCI/AA ... - pauleric, on 06/13/2008, -0/+4That's the beauty of it; it absorbs spills before they drip on your rug. Plus, the aroma will remind you of past culinary delights.
- filmbandit, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3true -- i'm quite fine with the horizontal and cheap variety that doesn't wobble. and i can find something cool at a flea market for $15
- bgolat, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3wow this is on the front page...
- idavidtang, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3Take up space?
- dib2, on 06/12/2008, -0/+3The Kube table is definitely not creative. I could turn my fridge on its side and practically get the same thing. And 99 pounds for it? Come on.
- wwjbaby, on 06/12/2008, -1/+5If needed:http://www.picsyard.info/static/_12_Creative_Table ...
- DteK, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3ha, I was thinking "Who the hell would be designing a site with tables"
- SpartanErik, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3Creative? Not so much.
Functional? Definitely not. - kelleydfp, on 06/12/2008, -1/+3these are all pretty cool.
- burjzyntski, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2I agree with britoca but I can't disagree with what you said either, briankoenig.
I'm lost.
I guess they're nice... "overmypriced" is the word. - EdwardBella, on 06/12/2008, -0/+2What about... a coffee table book, that has fold out legs, so it doubles as a coffee table!!
/seinfeld - inactive, on 06/12/2008, -0/+2It's just like a MINI MALL!
- ELLIS1128, on 06/12/2008, -1/+3What a retarded and ill-thought out comment.
- Verz, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2E-lisp?
- pegothejerk, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2I haven't been this dissapointed since Eyes Wide Shut. Seriously.. it looks like IKEA and Tyler Durden put a table blog together.
- thepretext, on 06/13/2008, -1/+3We used to read pornography. Now it's The Horchow Collection.
- briankoenig03, on 06/12/2008, -2/+4I honestly don't mean this in a demeaning way, but apparently you don't shop for original furniture very often. 99 quid for a table isn't that expensive at all. Even Pottery Barn tables are 400+. And yes, I happened to pick the cheapest table on the list, but I would say for a unique-looking, nicely-designed table that $800-1000 is pretty standard. See Noguchi, Eames, etc.
Pricy? Definitely. But overpriced? That is in the eye of the beholder. The average purchaser of these tables doesn't understand the allure of an overclocked quadcore processor with liquid cooling, and they would consider such a proc "overpriced". Different strokes for different folks, live and let live. - DesertCat, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2There is no way you are not a geek ;)
- Jemm, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2These are denormalized tables.
- coolchu001, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2WHOOPS spilled the drink on my new cardboard table...
- Malnilion, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2I wouldn't want any of those pieces of *****.
- murugeshappu, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2oops, i opened the link under the assumption that it is 'database table'
- asskicknchicken, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2 Love this website..they always have the coolest stuff..
- asskicker32, on 06/12/2008, -0/+2I love the cardboard. I with more people would design with recycled cardboard.
- J16T3CH, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2Or Microsoft's for that matter?
- davidrools, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2Does rule #1 refer to the movie or just the club?
- snoox, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2those are nice if you live in no-taste art school land
- charlietuna, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1Where's the underlying CSS markup?
- jarofclay, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1You know your a nerd when your first thought was CSS
- jisrael, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1"The beauty of WIRO is as much in the manufacture as it is in the clean, almost industrial, yet modern design."
obviously the author doesn't live in art-school-land cause he's throwing those descriptors around without any regard for what they mean... ...actually that sounds just like art school... - x5pfif, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1Seriously, those tables a ***** cool!
