- KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -6/+0Few problems, with the 17" iMac they also include a LCD monitor but the iMac has it's own screen, not to mention that somehow his price is somehow inflated. Fact of the matter is I just got a new 17" iMac core duo for $1199 and it has a 160GB hard drive not the 100GB that he lists in his article (not actually available in the iMac core duo 160GB is the minimum). He also lists his video card as ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256MB in his iMac 1.83GHz (which is the 17" model) the problem with this is that the 17" doesn't have the 256MB video card as an option. Plain and simple 17" iMac 1.83GHz Core Duo cost $1399 with the 1GB ram upgrade and costs $1289 for students (both prices include the 160GB hard drive he seems to think is only 100GB). So there, the Mac is cheaper.
