- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -22/+75Wont say that for long. Those burying it as inaccurate hold you horses. Its gonna be accurate in just a lil bit.
- Bioshocker, on 10/12/2007, -15/+57He's just whoring to be the guy who gets the story first. Leave it up and it'll update itself. Or bury him and punish him for being lame.
Either way, the biggest shame lies on the 148 people who have dugg this without verifying the link is actually what they think it is. - maiku00, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42I cant believe you morons marked this story as inacurate. Digg is full of *****.
- Balanced, on 10/12/2007, -0/+38More like purchased it, actually:

(assuming that's the legit owner of the software.) - KrazyA1pha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38The iTunes 7 page is up now.
- LoungeActx, on 10/12/2007, -16/+50Why is this inaccurate it links directly to the iTunes 7 page, which it states the exact same things summed up by the author. I think some of you guys need to clear your cache.
- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -3/+36hopefully they licensed it because it is awesome.
- gmillerd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23Who's inaccurate now? We all watched the presentation, knew 7 was going to be released any second and when we saw it ... dugg it.
- koregaonpark, on 10/12/2007, -4/+23Get this... I was seeing the iTunes 7 page all along. The US got it late. I was IMing a few friends and they confirmed this. I don't submit something unless there's quality content on the other side of the link.
- rkettner, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23Gotta watch the news, aha.
- weareglass, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19I don't know if it's stolen or licensed but they offered a job to the developer, who I vaguely know. I heard from a close friend of his they flew him to Cupertino. I thought he turned them down but maybe he licensed it instead of hiring him or maybe he changed his mind. Or maybe they just took the idea, who knows...
- decemberfall, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Clear out your temporary internet files, then refresh the page, it shows the download page for version 7
- trieste, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16" CoverFlow

(Couldn't resist) - fraggle35, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17unless the developer's been paid off, he wouldn't have been able to say anything before the announcement
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I hope the CoverFlow developer got his reward on this one. I've loved it for ages, and he deserves to cash in on this one.
- stevetures, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16since this was posted too soon, here's the iTV (set-top wifi box to view video from itunes to the TV) pics:

- TomP, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15NEW iPODS!!!
- shosterman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12The more important question, have they improved the ***** performance problems of the Windows version?
- pmcall221, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14hey blue asshat. The iPod got updated too. Get with the program.
- kevinrosesmom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I think everyone is missing the most important update...
the music note is now blue! - koregaonpark, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Images of iTunes 7 available here: http://www.engadget.com/2006/09/12/live-from-the-steve-jobs-keynote-its-showtime/
- Matrixsjd, on 10/12/2007, -13/+24Yes, but he said "released" which implies that you can download it already.
- dullin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Coverflow's author dropped in to say that Apple didn't steal anything :-)
- cubejockey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10@flippedcracker that really would be inaccurate then. This was posted *while* Jobs was giving his keynote on iTunes 7 and he announced it and called it that.
Normally I wouldn't say anything, but the abuse of the "inaccurate" tag is getting really annoying. - futurekill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8FINALLY!!!!
iTunes can burn CD Text....it's about f@$#%*g time... - nosferatu, on 10/12/2007, -8/+16This is the fault of both the poster and retarded people who reflexively digg without looking at the link.
RTFA - tsupersonic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Oh man, iTunes 7 is so slow... Well I just installed it and it's analyzing my music to update album art. This should've been a feature a long time ago, finally Apple has included it. Oh this analyzing thing takes a long time, I have a small collection of 2000 songs, and wow, it's going so slow.
Now get this, I'm probably going to be dugg down for this, but they "copied" WMP 11 Beta in the 2nd view. It's so similar... The 3rd view is cool, that's a unique feature to iTunes.
The new look is nice, but I wish it was responsive and less of a memory hog as Windows Media Player 11. - threepio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+830 Day return policy, folks. Relax.
- ipodman715, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7iTunes 7: http://www.apple.com/ipod/start/
- aprocter, on 10/12/2007, -7/+14actually they just announced it, he probably read it on a live blog
- Araya213, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'm exited about gapless playback, if it will work on my existin 5g that is. Now my Pink Floyd records will flow like water.
- futurekill, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8if you download iTunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/ you get iTunes 7
- middl3name, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Anyone else not a fan of the new icon?
- cubejockey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Uh, why in the hell are people labeling this as inaccurate exactly? The site is now updated and Jobs keynote is finished.
- nickbarreto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6coverflow view. wow. someone at apple was paying attention to the internet. this looks to be a great improvement
- mnewlin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7I definitely don't like the look of iTunes 7.
The new logo has a blue note now, boasting a gradient, which feels completely out of place. The scrollbar slider on the main interface has a purple colour now, which is very weird. Furthermore, the checkboxes have been simplified and the buttons at the bottom have also received an overhaul. The "spacey" UI is yet another step away from a consistent system-wide UI.
However, the organization in the left column is better now, with a distinction between LIBRARY - STORE - PLAYLISTS. And I quite like the view with artwork on the left and a playlist per album.
A mixed bag. - notfred, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7HDTV, component out, easier for a non-geek to set up.
....and cheaper. - phoenixsong44, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Is it just me or does iTunes 7 look really out of place on OS X? The icon is too shiny and looks like something that belongs more in KDE. The whole user interface is different colors and styles than most OS X programs. The scroll-bars really bother me, nearly every other app in OS X has the aqua scroll-bars, so why on earth would Apple change that for one of their core apps? The buttons aren't shiny, the check-boxes are no longer aqua-like. I'm really annoyed by all of this. The only reason I can think of for it changing like this is that this is how Leopard is going to look, but if so why didn't they just wait until then to change iTune's theme? If it weren't for coverflow I would definitely be switching back to v6.
- playerZero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@chesterton: They did it! They finally added gapless support! Years after all of their competitors, iTunes 7 and the new iPods have added gapless playback support. I have not verified this, but it is listed with the features. ABOUT GODDAMN TIME.
- JohnFrisco, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It does look Microsoftish.
They got rid of the Aqua scroll bar and new one looks more like Microsoft's scroll bar!
WTF? - siMac, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12"if it doesn't want to install on a 64-bit OS yet... then I don't care yet."
That's strange, it's running fine on my G5...
(Couldn't help it) - deepspaceant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5My god performace on windows is probably even worse and my music now has a buzz in the background.
- TechPedia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I think I like the iPod 'dashboard' view most of all. Nice to see where the space went...
- kevinrosesmom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I thought it was running very slow until I realized that it was fetching all the album art and gapless playback info as I was trying to play around with it. I'll reserve my judgement on performance until it's finished :)
- drewcare, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5so any clue if this adds a firmware update for the existing 5g ipods? I'd like to have the search and the new scrolling stuff
- kejistan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Yay, the first iTunes installer that doesn't force its shortcuts onto my quick launch bar!
iTunes is great, but seriously, I shouldn't have to disable the Quicktime system tray icon every single time I update! Hopefully the new iTunes updater will fix that. - falcon707, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6If you keep refreshing the page, iTunes 8.0 might be released (like last year).
Don't flame me... I'm kidding. I love iTunes. -
