- boombashi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The main beef I have with ALL of these add-on iPod batteries is that none that I know of actually charge the internal battery. Make a product like that, then you have something. The only reason I would want one of these battery packs is if it could charge my iPod at least 3 times off of it without having to be near a power outlet, then I'd buy one. This is needed inorder to use accessories that use the dock connector.
- shitfish, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple could have made the video ipod like that for the same price, fat but with very good batterly life. But they didn't, so my conclusion is that there's no way the extra battery life is worth the extra fatness and money.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wonder why the 42 hour battery is the same price as the 55 hour one -- they're both $84.95. Is one model for the 30GB unit and the other for the 60GB?
- Thumper13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Cellboost add-on battery provides 8 hours of extra battery time and is between $8-$10. I could buy close to 10 for the price of one of these things. Not really a good deal in my mind.

and protecting from scratches
but now i am fat - patrickloggins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not bad, i think that many hours of battery is worth the size. You would only have to use it on long trips etc. where you aren't going to be needing to have portablilty anyway. Nice price too, i've seen wired batteries for >$200, but I think they gave more battery hours.
- Crumbeast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that battery is huge, and i'm pretty sure this is inaccurate to boot. am i the only one who thinks that, while they cite the 2 hour video playback as the problem, they are quoting how long their battery runs on audio playback? there's no way that thing is cranking out 55 hours of video playback.
ilounge's article seems to confirm what i suspected: http://ilounge.com/index.php/news/comments/iluv-launches-ipod-accessory-lineup/ - zewise1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0looks good but it needs to prove itself. If it was that good wouldn't we know already?
