According to the manufacturer, 1 to 4 hours.

Come on now. This is just stupid. And what does this say about the authors of these supposed professional blogs? They can't even get their own story, just regurgitate others. - striker1211, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Bet ya five bucks this gets on diggnation... iPod and an exclamation point... pwnage...
- Osiriscky3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0some japanese guy is going to listen to his ipod for 200 hours nonstop now and hes gonna die....kthx
++DIGG FTW - starvingarvin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow this is like 12 degrees away from the original. would it take you more than 2 seconds to find the actual product and link it?
- Nerfdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah... i've got a dc adapter. so, unless i go for an 8-day camping trip and need to listen to The Offspring's Ixnay On the Hombre on repeat the ENTIRE TIME, even when i'm asleep, this is pretty useless.
- bedouin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lamest stock photo ever:

Stock photography is the worst. - Canuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"this'll be great for when i crash in an airplane and am stuck on a remote island for days waiting for rescue. otherwise, wtf is the point? 200 hours is over 8 days of continuous use. when will you EVER need that much battery life? and the road trip analogy is ridiculous, because it would be cheaper to just get a car adapter"
I could have used this last year when I went to Poland for two weeks. An 12 hour flight there/back is two days. That leaves me 6 days of listening to music while I them. Take into account sleep time, and it would be perfect. Without having to buy all kinds of power converters etc. - sock2828, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Tonyisbad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Battery battery, i like their logo there for "The Unofficial Apple Webblog".
- gameraboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not useful in the car, since most fm transmitters provide power to the ipod anyway. So I have unlimited iPod time in the car already with my iCar trip thing.
- Chango_Family, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0>Pretty cool - but the 200 hour battery is 8 inches >long( insert joke). says it will fit in a backpack.
Reminds me of an old SNL skit about 15 years ago where they had a cellphone attached to a car battery and the guy was saying how happy he was that he didnt have to carry those big brick phones anymore, now if they could just do something about the battery.
It kills the whole idea of having a small mp3 player when the battery is so much larger.
On the positive side, lets see more 200 hours batteries in smaller sizes for other products like laptops, phones, etc.. - TKDWILSON, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0""""I wonder if the battery is safe. There have been reports of Nokia phones exploding. The culprit was third party batteries.""""
A myth that was on myth busters some time ago. Sounded silly anyway.
I want to know how big these batteries are? What is the point if you have to hall something around heavier than your laptop?
Eric Wilson - TheTrueSora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0People keep talking about the music time, but for the 5G iPod, this would be great. You could watch way more movies than the iPod's punny 2 hours of video playback.
- energyblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0cool but im not sure i could listen for that long without dieing.
+ Consider yourself Dugg - sterling1989, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Ummmmm.....this has been out for a while. Its called a freakin UPS!!!! Gay.
