- aaron.dunlap, on 01/24/2008, -5/+61/me waits for the first "All iPhone" band...
- JlmAWP, on 01/24/2008, -4/+44"The Steves"
- slapded, on 01/24/2008, -1/+40no stairway? denied.
- Kronos6948, on 01/24/2008, -3/+25/waits for inevitable "Why don't you play a real guitar!" comments
- thcobbs, on 01/24/2008, -1/+19They're ok.... but they can only play one chord
- garbs, on 01/24/2008, -0/+18PocketGuitar in the 'Toys' category
- esbi, on 01/24/2008, -0/+15Actually it can recognize at least five different touch points. You can touch four strings and strum with your fifth finger. And these five points may be a limitation of the application, not the iPhone itself.
- beerbarron, on 01/24/2008, -6/+20Really was hoping for guitar hero, but got this, if someone can rock out on that, i'd like to see.
- Armstrong3, on 01/24/2008, -0/+10Is this on Installer?
- JohnDavis730, on 01/24/2008, -1/+9FREE BIRD!
- Tddupre, on 01/24/2008, -1/+9They have guitar hero, it's called tap tap revolution, they even have a guitar hero 3 skin for it
- duffy89, on 01/24/2008, -2/+10Theres got to be some asian who masters this at some point, they do with everything else.
- ocellnuri, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7This comment thread isn't about the Guitar program, it's about that "iPhone Magic" video link Berkana posted. The iPhone Magic stuff wasn't programming, it was a video that played while the guy did the motions.
- ocellnuri, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7I can play a three finger chord with this software just fine. You can also do 4-finger chords, and still strum. Multitouch looks more robust than most people expect.
- adbo, on 01/24/2008, -0/+6Here is someone actually playing a song on it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLL-d8bqW24 - pr0t0, on 01/24/2008, -4/+10That is just really, really cool! What a clever idea. I play guitar, and while that is no substitute for a real one, you don't always have your guitar with you. It would be cool to break out the iPhone and play a few songs while your waiting in the car or something. There are loads of songs that can be played with just a few frets. Kudos to the programmer!
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -1/+7WTF?
- undershirt, on 01/24/2008, -0/+6Would've been cool if he demonstrated with a song instead of dabbing around.
- bxblox, on 01/24/2008, -11/+17its just a video playing on his phone....
- batista86, on 01/24/2008, -1/+6iPhone Hero
- FatherG, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4Nice job. Now link it with another iPhone so you can strum at the same time.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -1/+5Very cool, but so impractical.
- Asidic, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4Two comments above you ;)
- Kronos6948, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3Funny thing is, I DO play guitar, although I'm primarily a bassist. That doesn't mean that I can't play guitar hero, or enjoy a mod like this.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3its cool but about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
- aparatoc, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3Is in installer & work on the touch?
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2yes and yes, its in the toys category as pocketguitar
- Tddupre, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2there is a piano but it does not have that many keys on it, it also is like 16 bit music
- zhenate, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2This is useful.
- fooslayer, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2There's been a piano app here since november: http://www.iappaday.com/ And a drum. And a bunch of other fun stuff. (and some not so fun stuff)
- DickyT83, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3"The fingers you have used to dial, are too fat.."
- Ireland, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3As a guitar player I can tell you it's cool, but the frets are too close together. If this developer removes a fret or two and gives the existing ones more space I could write a song on this thing.
- iguanapunk, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2He's no Hendrix.
- KennMac, on 01/24/2008, -1/+3My apologies. I guess I underestimated the multitouch... It appears you can indeed hold more than 2 fingers down. I was just holding my fingers too close together.
- Modestexcuse, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Anyone that needs the source....here ya go:
http://podmap.net/apps
*Add this to your Jailbroke Touch or iPhone under the source list. (Those that have one will know what I mean) - ledguitar, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1Not enough frets on the iphone for stairway.
- nick415, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1i dare you to try and play anything on that.
- Prombar, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1if he plays threw the fire and flames that would be awesome
- Darph.Bobo, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1It's highly doubtful the app killed your iPod. It was just a coincidence.
- UNL1M1T3D, on 01/24/2008, -2/+3I don't know why you got dugg down. I found that to be pretty impressive and would also like to see someone play something on it.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1yes, I installed it a couple of days ago, and it works fine.
- funkytaco, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1I can play the "Star Spangled Banner" and "Machinehead" on this thing! Pretty awesome.
- jsaya, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1Actual "playing" starts ~ 01:45
- funkytaco, on 01/27/2008, -0/+1The hard drive is probably dying.
- Gaulven, on 01/25/2008, -0/+1*Points to the sign that reads "No Stairway to Heaven"*
- djauto23, on 01/26/2008, -0/+1Too bad...the x ray application would really rock ;)
- thestaton, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1haha that's sweet. big ups.
- laelfrog, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1That really doesn't work, way too many to many bends to make it sound realistic. Maybe in the next version :-) I bet someone could play stairway...
- Lounger540, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1and BeatPhone, a neat little drum sequencer, and there's a single octave synth with some basic effects too. I forget the name of that one.
- duffy89, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1How cool is that, shame i don't have an iphone =( damn contract.
