iPhone Data Plans “$34.95 and up” says AT&T Rep

applegazette.com — I just got off the phone with an AT&T rep confirming information about the launch next week. He explained a few things to me about AT&T’s data/smart phone plans that I didn’t know, and also stated that he expects the plans to be their standard data plans starting at $34.95 and climbing all the way up to $99.99 a month.

    I had assumed that the iPhone would have its own set of plans, for data at least, especially since people have been quoted saying that official data plans for the iPhone would be announced sometime this week.

    I sure hope this is false and the iPhone has more reasonable prices for the internet, because if they're trying to use the internet as a major selling point, charging an arm and a leg for it (even just for wifi usage) would cause quite the user backlash.
  • Unclickable, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I have used AT&T Wireless in the past and I must say that's the worst mobile company ever. Expect high rocket bills. Before sign up for this plan do yourself a favor google "AT&T wireless scam"
  • flaminio, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1No one at ATT knows anything, so it's pure speculation. Every indicator is that there will be a new plan announced for the iPhone.
  • inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This thing is a complete rip off. It's $34.95 for 20Mb which is completely ridiuclous, so let's consider Data Unlimited as the only viable option:

    $599 (you don't want 4GB, right)
    $79.95 x 24 = $1918.80
    = $2517 for a PHONE.

    Which is Correct?
